Lane Davies (ex-Mason Capwell) continues his career on stage : after a new time in Hamlet from last February 07 to 09, Lane will be between next May 03 to 19 on the stage of the Polk Theater of Nashville, Tennessee, in the part I Hate Hamlet. It is the story of a declining television actor, coached by a ghost of Hamlet (Lane Davies) to make a new Shakespearean career on stage ! A look of déjà-vu ?

Talkin Santa Barbara is an on-line weekly radio program fully dedicated to our dear Santa Barbara. All the fans of the show are welcome to share their opinions on their favorite characters, the cultest storylines, their regretted actors... Created last January by American fans, the program is available every week on the site of Talkin Santa Barbara, which also offers the possibility to listen (again) the previous issues.

Eileen Davidson remains Ashley Abbott

02/02/2007

This is the surprise of the week : Eileen Davidson (ex-Kelly Capwell) rejoins The Bold and the Beautiful this month ! And second surprise : she takes back her part from The Young and the Restless : Ashley Abbott Carlton !
The actress' firing on last November (see the
News of 11/19) had created a wave of discontent between her fans, what certainly led the producers of The Young and the Restless to propose to her to rejoin its sister show (both soaps are produced by the same company and aired on CBS).
Eileen has already signed a three years contract with The Bold and the Beautiful, enough to see of the future will me made... Happy come-back
, Ashley !

Robin Mattson's come-back

01/17/2007

Great news : Robin Mattson (ex-Gina DeMott Capwell) does her come-back on television ! She will indeed be, as from February 12, Cheri, a new recurrent character of the CBS soap As The World Turns.
Robin's last appearance on the American television was in November 2004, in the soap General Hospital (see the
News of 11/03/2004).
As The World Turns is always unknown in France.
To note, on a private plan, that Robin married the former Yugoslavian soccer Werner Roth on June 03, 2006.

On the American screens

01/17/2007

On January 12 was released on the American screens Alpha Dog, Nick Cassavetes' new film. Friend of Paul Johansson's (ex-Greg Hughes), it was normal to find him in a small part : that of... Peter Johansson. That can not be invented ! The movie, also starring Justin Timberlake, Bruce Willis and Sharon Stone, will be released on March 21 in France.
On January 26, double news for Robin Wright Penn (ex-Kelly Capwell) : first, that will be the release of Breaking and Entering (see the News of 03/02/2006). Robin is there Liv, the girlfriend of the architect hero, played by Jude Law. At their sides : our Frenchy Juliette Binoche ! The movie will be released under the title of Par Effraction on March 14 in France.
In the same week, the Sundance film festival will see the projection of Hounddog (see the News du 08/30/2004) by Deborah Kampmeier, where Robin plays a small part, named "Stranger lady". For the moment, a mystery...

The news of the soap-opera

01/17/2007

Bad news for the fans of Passions : NBC announced yesterday on Tuesday that the soap will not last more than summer 2007. Some ratings never able to raise have thus led the show to its end, NBC preferring to privilege afternoon talk-shows, less expensive to produce.
Passions was the last born of the American daytime soaps. Created on July 05, 1999 in the United States, only a few episodes had been aired between July and October 2001 in France, on TF1 (see the News of October 2001).
NBC also announced to plan the end of Days of our Lives in 2009. To be continued...
