His
TV show is back this Sunday on France 2 for a third season and Eric Close (ex-Sawyer Walker)
makes already the cover this Monday of the weekly Télé Poche,
with his partners of Without a Trace. On the menu, a few spoilers
on the coming episodes, but nothing specific regarding the actor. |
No pity for Jed Allan |
03/06/2006 |
Jed
Allan (ex-C.C. Capwell) fired from General
Hospital
?
It is well the news which shook the fans of the actor this weekend in the
United States ! The actor, who celebrated last week his 69 years, had
joined the famous ABC soap in March 2004 (see the News
of March 2004).
He then resumed there the part of Edward L. Quartermaine, left vacant by
the actor John Ingle, gone to join NBC and Days of our Lives.
But here that we have just learned that Ingle decided to come back to his
preceding loves and has just signed his return in... General Hospital
in order to take again his part ! Thus goodbye Jed ! For the moment, the producers of both soaps refused to comment on this reversal of situation prejudicial for Jed Allan. Some explanations would however not be superfluous... |

Robin Wright and the cab |
03/02/2006 |
She
was awaited in many projects, finally it is in a more unexpected movie
that Robin Wright Penn arrives
in the American theatres tomorrow on Friday, March 3rd. In Sorry, Haters, Robin
plays Phoebe, a young woman taken in the paranoiac storms of
post-September 11 in New York when she gets in contact with Ashade, a cab
driver whose brother is in prison and who will engender in her some quite
trouble motivations... The film of Jeff Stanzler also includes another
surprise in the participation of our national actress Élodie Bouchez ! What remains otherwise of Robin Wright's projects to come, evoked in the News of 08/30/2004 ? If the project of The Last Face seems well to be abandoned, Robin has already finished the shooting of Breaking and Entering, with Juliette Binoche and may begin quite soon those of Hounddog (see the News of 08/30/2004), then of Beowulf, a heroic fantasy movie, and finally of The Night Job, a thriller starring Ray Liotta and Mickey Rourke. To be continued on this page... |

On the American and French screens |
02/20/2006 |
The
release this February 22 in France of Fun with Dick and Jane
(see the News
of 11/30),
with Téa Leoni Duchovny (ex-Lisa DiNapoli n°2) is the occasion to make a
point on the releases to come in the theaters... First, let's begin with her predecessor in the part, Tawny Kitaen (ex-Lisa DiNapoli n°1), who will be part these next weeks of the cast of Tom 51. To discover the life of Japanese interned in military camps during World War II : here is the announced program of Only the Brave, to be released with Tamlyn Tomita (Ming Li). Stoney Jackson (Paul Whitney) falls into the sexy thriller (the poster is a program on its own !) with 4-Bidden. Finally, two stars fall in the horror and gore movie : Lori Hallier (ex-Shannon Pressman) will be Mrs. Wexler in Heartstopper and Michael Brainard (ex-Ted Capwell n°2) will be Rick in Killing Ariel. As condition of course that all these features will not be released directly in DVD, such as Crash Landing, an action movie starring John Beck (ex-David Raymond), Adam and Eve, a comedy with Terri Garber (ex-Suzanne Collier), which get released directly on DVD last February 07, and Chasing Ghosts, a thriller starring Tom Wright (ex-Vic Boswell n°4), which will thus be released on March 14 without having known the pleasures of the big screen... |

The return of Santa Barbara in Croatia |
02/09/2006 |

years after its good-byes on the channel HRT1, Santa Barbara
is going to make its come-back on Croatian television ! Studio

Homage : Don Stewart (1935-2006) |
01/23/2006 |
He
had just made a short stay in Santa Barbara, the time of an
unique episode. This is perhaps why most of the fans of the show have
forgotten him... Don Stewart, of his real name Donald Bruce Stewart, died
on January 09 from a lung cancer. On December 18, 1985, he momentary
replaced Nicolas Coster in the part of Lionel Lockridge, the time of
episode n°354. Don Stewart was then famous for having played, from 1968 to 1984, the character of Michael Bauer in the soap Guiding Light. His last appearance on screen was in 2001, in an episode of the TV show JAG. He just celebrated his 70 years old. |

Marcy Walker's mystical reconversion |
01/17/2006 |
We
did not have any news about her for exactly one year, at the time of her
(forced) departure of All my Children (see the News
of 01/10/2005).
And for a good reason : Marcy Walker changed of job... and of name ! Not
only the ex-Eden Capwell officially took the name of her fourth and last
husband, Doug Smith (see the News
of January 2000),
not only she drew a final feature on her actress career, but in more she
reconverted herself as... a director of a children's ministry ! Marcy Smith (her exact name from now on) thus moved with husband and son last year in Huntersville, North Carolina, where she preaches in Lake Forest community church. She explains her reconversion by the death of a close relation of the team of Santa Barbara (Terry Lester?), who caused at her the awakening of a need to help people. We are thus not close to see again Marcy, who celebrated her 44 years last November, in the near future... |

Lane Davies and Jack Wagner on scene |
01/17/2006 |
The
occasions to see again our actors on the small or the big screen are
sufficiently episodical not to miss their rare appearances on scene, in
flesh and bone ! Lucky Americans will thus have the possibility of discovering Lane Davies (ex-Mason Capwell) in his last part, A Midsummer Night's Dream, on next February 03 and 04 at the Janet and Ray Scherr Forum Theatre of Thousand Oaks, California. Besides Lane does not only go up on scene, since he directs himself this representation of a Shakespeare's less known part. As for the fans of Jack Wagner (ex-Warren Lockridge), they will be able to applause the actor on the scene of Argosy Casino in Alton, Illinois on February 11 (see the News of 09/21), new date of his musical tour. Of what the Americans will could well complain in this beginning of year ?! ;-) |
