Like every year, the list of the nomination for the next Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony has fallen.
Among the former actors of Santa Barbara can be found Thaao Penghlis (ex-Dr. Micah DeAngelis), nominated for the Emmy of the best lead actor for his double part of André and Tony DiMera in Days of Our Lives.
Note that another former actor of Santa Barbara will be assured of getting on stage : Jack Wagner (ex-Warren Lockridge) was called to give a trophy.
The ceremony will be held on June 20 and will be televised on ABC.

We learned only recently the death of Jacques Berthier on last April 06. He was the French voice of the different interpreters of C.C. Capwell in Santa Barbara. The comedian died in Neuilly-sur-Seine at 92. Jacques Berthier had began as an actor, before specializing in doubling, beginning among others the French voice of Raymond Burr.

The Cannes festival ended yesterday and here, we keep a rather good memory of it while seeing there the confirmation of the reunion between Robin Wright (ex-Kelly Capwell) and her husband Sean Penn.
Since the announce of the divorce requirement of Robin (see the News of 01/03/2008) in last December, a second rumour ran to say that the request would have been cancelled by the couple in April.
Despite the infidelity accusations of Sean Penn by the press, Robin was well in his company in Cannes, where the actor-director was the festival president.
We wish a new time long life to the couple !

As you know it, many videos of Santa Barbara Videos : le site Francais are not available on the site anymore and had to be archived because of a lack of place on the server.
However, since today, you can find them on-line on this blog in French : http://santa-barbara.blogspace.fr, currently being constituted.

This is this month that Roscoe Born (ex-Robert Barr et Quinn Armitage) must rejoin the cast of Days of Our Lives.
Not much information filtrated about his new character, Dean Robbins, but we can expect a bad character, of which the actor made a speciality in a tenth of different soap-operas.
Roscoe is besides already appeared in Days of Our Lives, it was in the part of Baron Coe during an unique episode in 2001 (see the News of February 2001).
To be followed then, as from May 29 on NBC.

Sydney Penny (ex-B.J. Walker) makes her good-byes this moth to her colleagues of All my Children. The actress was indeed fired by the production, not inspired by her character anymore.
Sydney was playing Julia Santos Keefer since 2005 (see the News of 05/11/2005), a part she already led between 1993 and 1996, just after the end of Santa Barbara.
We wish her good luck in the continuation of her career...

It is already the end of Alliances & Trahisons on TF1 ! Because of low ratings, TF1 replaces the show as from Thursday May 08. The come-back of General Hospital did not last long : 6 episodes only !

Whereas she can be seen in theaters in Eyes, an horror movie, since February 01 in the United States and April 09 in France, Tamlyn Tomita (ex-Ming Li) comes back to television this month. As from May 16, she will be Giselle in General Hospital the time of a few episodes.
The actress is also expected these next months in Two Sisters, a TV movie for channel ABC Family, and Why Am I Doing This ?, a comedy whose shooting has just finished.

When the network TF1 continues to deceive the French Santa Barbara fans... The channel has just announced the airing of an American daytime soap every morning as from Monday, April 28 : it won't be nor Santa Barbara, nor the following episodes of All my Children nor even Passions (already seen on this network), but General Hospital, now called Alliances & Trahisons !
TF1 has thus decided to offer a second chance to this soap, already aired a first time under the title Hôpital Central during summer 1992, with this time episodes shot in June 2003. Only consolation : to see again in some episodes Nancy Lee Grahn (ex-Julia Wainwright) and Lane Davies (ex-Mason Capwell)...
