The Dead Girl, the movie signed by Karen Moncrieff (ex-Cassandra Benedict Lockridge), which obtained the Grand Prix of the last American film festival of Deauville, France, (see the News of 09/17/2007) was released in the French theatres last March 05. A dark and feminist picture, while waiting for the next film of the actress-writer-director, Relative Distances, now in pre-production.

The little world of the American daytime soap-opera knows for a few days a true revolution. The faultier is Guiding Light, the oldest soap still on screen (it was created in 1952).
Since last February 29, the way of production of the show has indeed been completely transformed : 20% of the scenes shot outdoors, creation of 32 supplementary sets more realistic with four walls and a a ceiling, use of handheld cameras, editing made in live... To get an idea, watch a scene with Kim Zimmer (ex-Jodie Walker).
A real challenge to renew the genre daytime soap, losing its televiewers in the United States. Let see if it will be followed by its concurrents...

Lane Davies back in a regular way on the American television ? That will perhaps be the case if the pilot he is currently shooting is accepted to become a regular TV show in fall 2008.
Produced for a cabled channel, Dixie Melodie tells the arrival in New Orleans of a young woman, Melodie (played by Hannah Bryan), decided to start a new life, far from her native New Jersey. Lane plays Frederick Ulysses Uriah Charleston, an alcoholic poet impassioned by women, who quickly becomes close to Melodie...
Created by B.J. Grogan and Steve Meigs, the sitcom is thus for the moment only at the stage of the pilot episode shooting. Let's hope it will give birth to the new Lane Davies' show it promises to be...

After Robin Wright, this is another actress very appreciated by the fans of Santa Barbara who knows a difficult love life : Harley Jane Kozak (ex-Mary DuVall) may be going to divorce.
Following the sources, it is her husband Greg Aldisert who would have asked for divorce. The couple, married in 1997, has three children : Audrey and twins Lorenzo Robert and Giana Julia (see the News of July 2002).

For a few years, Harley get reconverted in writing (see the News of 03/15/2005). Her third novel, Dead Ex, was published last August.

It is the end of a Hollywood star-couple : Robin Wright and Sean Penn have announced their divorce.
The ex-Kelly Capwell of Santa Barbara filed the papers towards a court last December 21. The actress talks of irreconcilable differences.
Married since April 27 1996, Robin and Sean have two children : Dylan Frances, born on April 13 1991, and Hopper Jack, born on August 06 1993.
This is the second divorce of Robin Wright, who already separated from Dane Witherspoon (ex-Joe Perkins), after two years of marriage, in 1988.
