ABC must make economies and asked the producers of the soap All my Children to fire an actor... No luck for Vincent Irizarry (ex-Dr. Scott Clark), that is him who was summoned to leave the show.
The actor, who plays the character of Dr. David Hayward since 1997
, will make his departure in the weeks to come.

The dates of the new season of the American television

The summer is not finished yet and some TV shows already begin their new season on the American television. It is the case for Vanished, this new season very awaited new show, starring John Allen Nelson (ex-Warren Lockridge) (see the News of 05/01). John Allen is Georgia Senator Jeffrey Collins, the husband of the woman whose disappearance is the leading storyline of the show. At his sides, many familiar faces from TV shows : Gale Harold (Queer As Folk), Ming-Na (E.R.) and Eddie Cibrian (Sunset Beach, Third Watch, Invasion). Beginning of the researches on August 21 on FOX.
Eva LaRue (ex-Margot Collins) will investigate again with CSI : Miami as from September 18 on CBS, Eric Close (ex-Sawyer Walker) will go back to work on September 24 in a 5th season of Without a Trace on CBS and Paul Johansson (ex-Greg Hughes) will start a 4th season in One Tree Hill on September 27 on the CW, formerly WB
. Constance Marie (ex-Nikki Alvarez) will have, as for her, to wait December 06 to rejoin George Lopez for a 6th season on ABC.
At last, for the soap-operas fans, a date to remind : September 05. It is that day that the American network
Network TV will start to air with, on nightime, two new daily soaps : Desire and Secret Obsessions. Happy new TV season !

On the American screens

Some movies releases this month of August in the United States : on August 09, find Tom Wright (ex-Vic Boswell) starring in World Trade Center, Oliver Stone's last movie. Tom plays there police officer Reynolds, confronted to the terrible drama of September 2001. The movie will be released on September 20 in France.
On August 12, release of the western Hell to Pay, where Stella Stevens (ex-Phyllis Blake) is Mary Potter, at the sides of Lee Majors (read the
News of 10/26).
Small part for Larry Poindexter (ex-Dr. Justin Moore) on August 18 in Material Girls, a comedy about two millionaire sisters.
At last, on August 25, release of Invincible, with Michael Brainard (ex-Ted Capwell). Michael plays there the coach of the Eagles football team, at the sides of Mark Wahlberg.

Departure of Joseph Mascolo

Joseph Mascolo (ex-Carlo Alvarez) is going to leave The Bold and the Beautiful, soap he rejoined in August 2001, in the part of Massimo Marone (see the News of September 2001).
Some rumours already announce his imminent come-back in Days of Our Lives, where he had played the amazing character of Stefano DiMera for 13 years.

On the American and French screens

American televiewers friends, turn on the TV tonight on the cabled channel The Hallmark Channel : A Martinez (ex-Cruz Castillo) makes there his come-back in a western, Desolation Canyon. Around Patrick Duffy and Stacy Keach, A plays Arturo Zetta, in this TV movie which gives back its power to a more spiritual and mature western (see the News of 07/26/2005). The TV movie will be re-aired on the channel on July 06 and 29.
Robin Mattson (ex-Gina DeMott Capwell) back on screens ? This is done with The Last Guy on Earth, awaited for July 04 (provisory date) in the American theaters. The story ? That of a man who, the day before his wedding, awakes alone on Earth, only surrounded by... women ! The writer and director Jim Fitzpatrick had, for the anecdote, made two furtive appearances in Santa Barbara in 1986 and 1991. Would it be there that he developed his taste for pretty women ?
On July 11, another release in the United States, but directly on DVD : that of Crash Landing, an action movie with John Beck (ex-David Raymond) and the specialists of the kind, Antonio Sabato Jr. and Michael Paré. John plays there General McClaren. For the unconditional fans only.
At last, on July 19 gets released in France Garfield : A Tail of Two Kitties
, the striped cat movie, starring Ian Abercrombie (ex-Philip, the Capwells' butler in 1984), a film intended before all to children (see the News of 06/06). Ian has since that shot two other movies, Bentley and Max and Inland Empire, by David Lynch, awaited on screens at the end of 2006.
