Robin Wright's worst day

In the movie The Pledge, which arrives on the French screens on September 26, Robin Wright Penn (ex-Kelly Capwell n°1) took the risk to shock her fans while showing herself under her worst day. The dirty hair, the damaged skin, the blackened teeth, she is quite unrecognizable in the role of Lori. Directed by Sean Penn, Robin's husband, The Pledge comprises a dream casting : Jack Nicholson, Vanessa Redgrave, Benicio Del Toro, Harry Dean Stanton, Sam Shepard, Mickey Rourke... In short, one more reason not to miss this impassioning and very moving cop drama. Robin, on her side, did not waste time since she currently plays under the direction of Peter Kosminsky White Oleander, with Michelle Pfeiffer and Renee Zellweger. The film will arrive next year in the United States.

Téa the dinosaures slayer

Téa Leoni (ex-Lisa DiNapoli n°2) can be seen since last 8 August in France in Jurassic Park III by Joe Johnston. Just to ensure without effort a big success at the international boxoffice. One awaits her very soon in People I Know by Daniel Algrant (which shootings have just ended in the United States) at the sides of Al Pacino and Kim Basinger, then in Intolerable Cruelty by Jonanthan Demme, whose release is planned in 2002. Lastly, Téa should join the stage of the new film written and directed by Woody Allen, Ending Hollywood, with Treat Williams, Debra Messing (Will & Grace) and Tiffani-Amber Thiessen (Saved by the Bell, Beverly Hills 90210). A very clashing casting, where one awaits a lot for Téa to prove reliable !

Joseph Mascolo never rests

No respite for Joseph Mascolo (ex-Carlo Alvarez) since his departure from the soap Days of our Lives last May (see the News of May). The actor indeed has just begun in another soap, The Bold and the Beautiful, in the role of Massimo Marone. His return on screen took place on last 23 August and would still continue a few weeks if success follows.

All my Children in France in 2002 !

TF1 (which already airs The Young and the Restless, Passions and repeats Sunset Beach daily ) has just acquired the soap All my Children, aired since 1970 in the United States !

Currently in phase of dubbing, All my Children, which one waits to know the French title, should be on the air at the beginning of 2002.

Admittedly a good occasion to refind on the French screens Marcy Walker, Marj Dusay, Vincent Irizarry, John Callahan and perhaps Robin Mattson... But one cannot prevent oneself from thinking that it would have been well more sympathetic that the network rather gives again its chance to Santa Barbara...

Colleen Dion returns to her children

Colleen Dion officially confirmed her return in the soap All My Children on next 9 October. She retakes there the role of Leslie Coulson she had given up last year. Colleen played, in 1989, Robert Barr's mistress in Santa Barbara.

Tuc Watkins returns to soap

Tuc Watkins (ex-Reggie in 1992) should sign soon a new contract with the soap One Life to Live. The actor had left the soap in 1996 to join the cast of the show Beggars and Choosers which ended last February. If the information is confirmed, Tuc would retake his character of David Vickers by the end of the year.
