Episode 1360

Gina sends for Ethan to attend court on a false pretence and an invitation for dinner in the archive room. But they end up getting locked in the cellar. Meanwhile, Laura jumps up and down to find herself alone for the Christmas Eve dinner. Julia, Mason and Kelly invite Cruz so that he does not stay alone at home. But Cruz prefers going back home with his presents. Mason drives Julia up to a church to renew their marriage vows. In the sky, God asks Paddy, an angel; to be sure that Cruz does not spend the whole evening of Christmas alone. He promises to give him wings. Facing despair, Cruz overturns his Christmas tree and leaves his home. But the electrical cord creates a short-circuit and the tree catches fire. The firemen, guided by Paddy, intervene. Paddy intercedes again and again with Cruz throughout the party, under a different identity. He joins him in the church where Cruz is to collect his thoughts alone. He offers to see his life in another way...

Ronnie Schell, who plays Paddy, has already played Frank Armsted in 1985 and 1988.

Episode 1361

Paddy offers to Cruz to see what the world would be if it had never existed. First of all, Cruz discovers that Julia became alcoholic and half mad since Samantha disappeared, kidnapped by a photographer three years ago. Cruz indeed saved her never. Then, he discovers that his mother is the servant of Tonell, who lived in the home of the beach with Sophia for wife. Mason is currently in couple with Gina, and C.C. is ruined because of the fire of one of the platforms oil which Cruz has never put out. In Topsy Turvy' s, he meets Rafael, become a missed magician is, before surprising Ric making a break-in. Cruz wants to prevent him from it, but Ric is killed by policemen. When he meets Paradise, she is always single, woos by nice boys in the East express. Immediately, Paradise falls under the spell of Cruz. This last goes back to the church where everything began and asks God to let him chance to return in reality and to take life in another way. He comes back at home and finds Paradise, Chip and Adriana. Capwell joins them to celebrate Christmas and give him a bell. This one rings, and Cruz understands that Paddy, which has achieves its mission, got its angel's wings...

Second adaptation of It's a Wonderful Life by Frank Capra, this time concerning Cruz, after Gina at Christmas 1986.

Episode 1362

Gina and Ethan wake up on the Christmas morning, still prisoners in the cellar. Before being able to make love with her, Ethan wants to tell Laura the truth. He promises to Gina to speak to her when he returns home. Mack learns from Phyllis that Gina did not come back at night after her appointment with Ethan. He goes to the court and releases them. Laura fabricates a fake anonymous threatening letter to watch Ethan on his return. Ethan reassures her and does not dare speak to her about Gina. Gina goes back home and gives a camera to Brandon. Sophia, C.C., Kelly, Greg and Emily exchange presents. Kelly organises delivery of a miniature train which she wanted to give Robert in memory of their adventure in El Diablo. Eden and Cruz also give their presents. But Cruz spends the day in The Lair with his parents, his children and Ric for a Mexican Christmas, while Eden joins her parents in the Capwell villa. They meet later at home, but Cruz leaves Eden alone for the rest of the Christmas day...

Episode 1363

Kelly asks Robert for her old job back at the Capwell Firms. Laura fabricates a new anonymous letter, where the blackmailer claims 10 000 dollars for her silence. She makes Mack believe that it was slipped into her handbag while she spoke with him. Mack speaks about it to Gina, who immediately suspects Phyllis. Laura shows the letter to Ethan who immediately gathers the money. He gives it to Laura as planned in one of the garbage cans in The Lair. Gina follows them and finds the money in the garbage can. She is suddenly nose to nose with Laura. Ethan asks for Cruz's assistance for a secret affair of spying. Nikki follows Cruz up to Ethan's office and listens to their discussion from the intercom in Phyllis's office. She is surprised by an agent who accuses her of spying. Robert joins Eden at home. Cruz arrives and finds him holding Adriana in his arms. He asks him not to touch his children. Eden announces to Cruz that she wants to leave for a few days with Chip and Adriana. Kelly organises a private dinner on Robert's yacht. Robert explains to her that he is not in love with her. But Kelly continues to want to continue seeing him frequently...

Episode 1364

Bunny makes the acquaintance of Sasha. When he learns that she was singer in Las Vegas, he offers her to work for him in The Lair. Brandon films the meeting with his camera between Gina and Laura in The Lair. Once Gina leaves, Laura recovers the bag of money in the garbage can from the alleyway. She hides the keys of the Lockridge villa in Mack's bag, and the bag of money in the cellar of the villa. She hears Ethan promise Gina that he is going to leave his wife. Julia wonders who the shipper of a package is which Mason received from Palm Springs. She suspects that it is Sasha, as she went there briefly during Christmas. Mason finds Sasha and asks her to leave him in peace. C.C. surprises Kelly in the office of the Capwell Firms, giving strategy advice to Robert. Robert again offers C.C. to sell his firms to him. Augusta then goes to the office and recovers a microfilm which Tonell had hidden there. She explains to Robert that it contains a precious list for him and that she agrees to give it to him in exchange for the Capwell Firms. She then phones Mason and asks him to find her in The Lair. She has with her photos of Sasha and him kissing each other. Robert goes up on his yacht and hears it start. It is Kelly who has taken him hostage. She slips the keys of the boat into her corsage and offers him to search for them...

Episode 1365

In The Lair, Augusta shows Mason the photos which she has of him and Sasha. But she explains to him that she does not want to show them to Julia because they will upset her. Julia surprises them and tries to find out what they spoke about. Mason leaves for Palm Springs and asks Sasha's servant not to recognise him if a woman comes with a photo of him. Indeed, Julia immediately arrives there and shows Mason's photo to the servant. She pretends not to recognise him. But Julia finds a book on the oriental erotic art dedicated to Sasha from Mason. Emily announces to Greg that she is pregnant. On the yacht, Kelly wants to force Robert to re-engage her. In the middle of the night, the boat is shipwrecked and Kelly and Robert believe they are on a desert island. But they arrived back in Santa Barbara without their knowledge. Cruz still makes Nikki stay with him to protect her since she heard the secret discussion with Ethan. They get bored in Cruz's room above Topsy Turvy's. A mysterious man arranges to meet Nikki in The Lair. She manages to avoid Cruz's surveillance and finds the man. But Cruz manages to join Nikki. He asks her why the police files have no trace of her existence. Nikki explains to Cruz that she illegally entered the United States from Mexico and tells her about the hard living conditions. She asks him if he intends to report her...

First appearance in the series of Marcos Llamera. It will be necessary to wait for episode 1402 before seeing him again.

Episode 1366

Ethan announces to Laura that he wants to finish it with their blackmailer. He organises a press conference in The Lair to publicly declare that he buried the inquiry into the murder of Leo Mitchell not to have arrested his wife. At the last minute, Laura confesses to him that she did not kill Leo in self-defence, but intentionally. Ethan finally makes no statement. Everybody joins the Capwell villa for the big celebration of New Years Eve dinner on the 1st January. C.C. invites Cruz to join them, while Kelly invites Robert. During the party, Sasha sings at the piano, Sophia and Augusta squabble, and everybody wonders what Nikki is doing with Cruz. Robert speaks about Nikki as Cruz's new girlfriend. Cruz strikes him and sends him to the floor at the foot of the Christmas tree. Robert leaves the party alone. Mason leaves to search Augusta's hotel room in search of the photos of him and Sasha. Julia does the same and finds them, hidden in a vase. Mason lights the light and shows himself to Julia. Cruz goes back into his small room with Nikki. At midnight, the telephone rings: it is Eden who called him to wish him a good year...

There are two versions of this episode : the American version shows Sasha Schmidt performing at the piano It Had to Be You, whereas in the international version she sings I Only Have Eyes For You.

Episode 1367

The press announces Kelly's arrival as a vice-president of Barr Industries. C.C. signs the papers and recovers the Capwell firms. He asks his daughter to join him, but Kelly prefers continuing working for Barr Industries. Kelly and Robert search the societies bought by Tonell which can hide malpractice. Kelly settles on the stables which Tonell bought one year ago. She goes there as a candidate for a job there and meets Travis Bucknell, an ex-boyfriend who is responsible for Nikki. She thinks that one of the racehorses, Dark Victor, is masking something. While Robert asks her not to take care of her, he surprises her in the evening at the stables. Cruz suggests his father engaging Nikki so that she could remain living in the United States. Rafael offers Nikki to become his helper as a magician. Nikki accepts. Julia puts Mason outside with his business. Bunny comes to find her and, under a false pretence, drives her to a small plane. Once taken off, Mason appears. He tries to get back together with Julia by swearing to her that he only loves her. Suddenly, the plane has difficulties, and Julia and Mason have to jump out with a parachute. They land in the snow, in the middle of a hilly forest...

Episode 1368

Laura receives one new anonymous letter she has which was handed to her by Bunny, in the presence of Ethan. She tells Mack that Bunny said that the author of the letter is a woman. Without their knowledge she sees Gina and Ethan kissing each other in his office. She interrupts them by phoning Ethan. At the time when they leave his office, Laura hears Gina and Ethan telling each other that they like each other. Kelly is surprised that Dark Victor is displaced from Tonell's stables to another one in the middle of the night. With Robert, she spies on the men who have come for him and wants to follow them. Robert dissuades her from it. Nikki arrives at the stables. In the full mountains and under the snow, Mason confesses to Julia that he slept with Sasha by weakness. Completely lost and frozen, they hope to be saved...

Episode 1369

Cruz arrives by helicopter and saves Julia and Mason, immediately transported to the hospital in Santa Barbara. Eden is back with her children. She finds Cruz and Mason in the hospital. Kelly is recruited in Tonell's stables under a false name, Elizabeth Davies. She insists that Robert lets Dark Victor run. But the horse loses. Cruz finds the key in Nikki's luggage for the coach station, where she said she has left all her business. The luggage office is empty, apart from a notebook where Nikki noted all the trips to the United States these last months. Julia finally wakes up in her hospital room. She sees Mason at her bed head and immediately asks him to leave. Eden joins Robert at his office. He asks her if she has chosen between Cruz and him. As Eden still seems undecided, he asks her to leave...
