Good news from A Martinez

Mike Dunay, Bradley Littlefield, Julian Alcaraz and A Martinez at the 10th Santa Fe Film FestivalIn an email he sent us yesterday, A Martinez announces us two good news : after an episode of Criminal Minds (aired on last December 16 on CBS), the actor has just shot this month an episode of Miami Medical, Jerry Bruckheimer's new TV show awaited on CBS at the beginning of 2010.
The other good news are the awards obtained by his last film, Becoming Eduardo (where he plays the part of Sergio Garcia) at the 10th Santa Fe Film Festival at the beginning of December. The film won awards for Best Latino Themed Film and 
Best New Filmmaker for the director, Rod McCall. A Martinez precises that the movie was loved by the audiences and that offers were made for distribution rights in theaters.

He was available since his dismissal of Days of Our Lives last January (see the News of 02/06) : Stephen Nichols (ex-Dr. Skyler Gates) has just been hired in The Young and the Restless this week !
The actor began the shooting yesterday, on December 17, by replacing at the drop of a hat the actor William Russ, thanked by the production one month after his arrival. Stephen so took back the interpretation of this new character, Tucker McCall, promises to a big future within the soap. His first appearance on screen will be made on next January 27, on CBS.

Less than three months after the disappearance of Guiding Light, CBS has just announced the cancellation of another of its daytime soap-operas : As the World Turns. On the screens since April 02 1956, the soap was the oldest on the air with Guiding Light, and will know its last episode (around the 13 800th) in September 2010. CBS explains its decision by economic motives.
At the moment, only one former Santa Barbara actor is part of the cast of As the World Turns : Jon Lindstrom (ex-Dr. Mark McCormick) (see the News of 10/09/2008).

This is Mark Arnold (ex-Joe Perkins) who transmitted to us this information : the sci-fi movie Who Shot Mamba ?, in which he plays the character of Armen Chadwick, is for a few days accessible on the official site of the film, divided in twelve parts. From this day, the four first chapters are available for free. Do not wait to discover them !
Besides, Mark is currently going to shoot the web-series The Gunrunner Billy Kane before the end of the month. He really never stop !
An A Martinez's family work

A Martinez contacted us personally this day to share with you an on-line video on YouTube he shot with his family last summer : Bucky's Trouble. Superbly directed, this 7 minutes film is played by A, his wife Leslie and their three children. This is besides Leslie Martinez herself who interprets Come On Home, the magnificent song which accompanies a big part of this very beautiful moment, to discover without waiting.
Congratulations to the Martinez family, A first, and thank you again to him to offer to us this wonderful reunion !
Richard Eden does the festivals

In the interview he gave to à Santa Barbara : le site Francais last August, Richard Eden told about The Intervention, the film in which he plays and of which he is the co-writer and producer with his wife Shannon Hile. Today, Richard wanted to share a good news about this new production : the presentation of the movie in two film festivals this month in the United States.
Indeed, The Intervention will be projected on October 16 at 4.00 p.m. at the Los Angeles Femme Film Festival in Los Angeles, at Renberg theatre (1125 McCadden Place, Los Angeles 90038). Then direction Las Vegas for a projection special Halloween on October 31 at 2.30 p.m. at the Fangoria Trinity Of Terrors Festival at the Palms Casino Resort.

Tawny Kitaen arrested !

Already known for her scandals, Tawny Kitaen (ex-Lisa DiNapoli) makes talk about herself this week : the actress has been arrested last Saturday in Newport Beach, California, for driving under the influence.
At 48 years old and after two divorces, Tawny had participated last year at a reality-show program, Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew, where she was trying a detoxification to medicine in front of the cameras. Perhaps not so much effective... The actress has been released after having paid a bail.
