On stage...

Chance...

He will have visited almost all of them ! Roscoe Born (Robert Barr and Quinn Armitage in Santa Barbara  will add a new soap to his credit ! After having had the honors of Ryan's Hope, One Life to Live, Family Passions, The City, All My Children, As the World Turns and Days of our Lives, here that Roscoe is going to join the cast of Guiding Light at the beginning of this month. "I haven't been in that one !", laughs the actor. Roscoe will be there the new Prince Edmund’s finance minister. But that did not prevent him from offering a last little prank at the end of June for the role of detective Adamski in three episodes of As the World Turns...

...and no chance !

They were to be the new heads of September on US television : it is missed ! Stacy Edwards (ex-Hayley Benson) and Randy Vasquez (ex-Ramon Fonseca) saw themselves excluding from the new CBS shows for this re-opening. Thus Wolf Lake will finally begin without Stacy and First Monday will begin without Randy. The two shows will start in September on the network.

Impartial Louise Sorel

Louise Sorel (ex-Augusta Lockridge), after a transition in the soap Port Charles in March last year, seemed to want to devote herself to the pleasures of idleness. It was without counting the offer of the soap All My Children, proposing her to play the judge Campobello during seven episodes in July. American friends, at your TV thus !

Still All My Children !

Since one approaches the chapter of the recruitings in All My Children, let us continue with Samantha Eggar, who was the first Pamela Conrad in Santa Barbara in short appearances in 1986. The ABC soap would have indeed proposed to her to play again the role of Charlotte Devane in a very close future. One thus awaits her answer...

The 17th Soap Opera Digest Awards Private life

Congratulations Nancy !

She won ! For the second consecutive year, Nancy Lee Grahn received the Soap Opera Digest award of the better outstanding supporting actress for her character of Alexis Davis in General Hospital. A reward which makes sense for the ex-Julia Wainwright in Santa Barbara, because they are the televiewers themselves who had voted via the review Soap Opera Digest or the site of the aforesaid magazine (see the News of May).

In her thanks speech, Nancy moreover entrusted to have also voted for her victory via the net ! When it is said that one is never so well served but by oneself !

A new happiness for the Callahans

They both belonged for a time to the big family of Santa Barbara, but at one year and a half of difference : today, Eva LaRue (ex-Margot Collins in 1988) and John Callahan (Craig Hunt in 1989-1992) are married (since 1996) and, great news, await their first child for December !

Whereas Eva left the soap All My Children in 1998, John always plays there Edmund Grey, since 1992. For the anecdote, Eva was formerly the wife of another actor of Santa Barbara : John O'Hurley (the second Stephen Slade in 1990-1991), between 1992 and 1994.

Anniversary
This page of the current events would not be complete without celebrating - with the pleasure it deserves for my part - the second anniversary of this site, officially born on July 11, 1999 on the web. Many things have been accomplished since the first pages at this time, and I benefit of these lines to thank again all those who have contributed, even by far, to make these pages what they are today !

Once again, I invite you to write me to share your ideas, critics and comments on this site, on what you like, what you like less, what still misses, in short what would make of this site a perfect response to your waitings ! And long life to the Santa Barbara passion ! : -)
