From June 02 to June 13 2011, Brandon Farmer agreed to take on his time to answer exclusively the questions of Santa Barbara : le site Francais. The former actor talks about his memories of his time in Santa Barbara as Chip Castillo, and about his life since his departure from the show.

The time of Santa Barbara

How old are you today ?

Today I am 24. I turn 25 in September coming up.

How did you come to play Chip in Santa Barbara ?

My mom said we just went to an open interview when I got the part and filmed my first episode that day. I was only three at the time, but after a few episodes they hired me as a principle actor and I stayed on the show until 7.

What remembrances did you kept from these years ? Did you keep in touch with some members of the team after the end of the show ?

Marcy and A were both amazing people to work with as I remember. They were very patient, made things fun and exciting, and helped me immensely. We haven't stayed in touch as much as I would have liked however I still have very fond memories of everybody during those years.

Do you have a particular remembrance of the shooting of Santa Barbara ? Even if you were very young then !

I just remember everyone on the set being amazing and I always looked forward to shooting episodes.

These 19 last years after Santa Barbara and now

You were a so cute little boy as Chip, I remember having found you very good as an actor even at this young age. Did you continue acting after Santa Barbara ?

I did some commercials but nothing too big. Me and my mom decided it was best to stop working and focus on school and sports rather than working all the time.

And what you're doing now ?

Right now I have two jobs working as a personal trainer at a gym in Orange County and also working for a pediatrician at a Children's Wellness Center working with kids mostly suffering from obesity.

No regrets to have left the show-business world ? Even if your current activities seem very interesting and constructive.

Ummmm sometimes I wonder where I may have been at if we stuck with it, but I think all in all we made the right decision to focus on school and sports.

Is there something you'd like to say to all the Santa Barbara fans all over the world who didn't forget you as Chip ?

Just thanks for all the support shown around the world. I had no idea the show was this popular but I'm very glad that it can bring this much enjoyment to everyone.

Once again all my thanks to Brandon Farmer for his kindness and his simplicity.
