Episode 700

C.C. offers Kelly to work for Capwell Enterprises, with the idea to start with the news about Eden. Mason, who surprises this exchange, once again feels put aside by C.C.. He goes to Alex's laboratory and offers him to become shareholder of his vaccine to come. Alex accepts for two million dollars. Mason goes back to see his father then and asks him for this sum by taking for pretext the possibility of becoming linked in his law firm. Jeffrey announces to Alex of his will not to participate any more in his plan of revenge against the Capwells. But he ends up admitting that he always bears a grudge against Mason not to have helped his mother before her death. At Johnny's, Pearl organises a wine tasting with the intention of uniting Jane and Brick. Operation is successful, since both lovers end up embracing each other. In the gazebo of the Capwell property, Sophia, until then very strong, ends up cracking and starts to mourn her missing daughter...

While they had begun being familiar in the previous episode, Jane and Brick use the "vous" form once again in the French version.

Episode 701

Hayley moves into the guesthouse of the Capwell residence. Ted is disappointed when he understands that Hayley does not expect that he becomes established there with her. At Johnny's, they see Lucy, who has transformed completely. Lucy announces that she has decided to stop group therapy, feeling cured. She gives her professional photos to Ted and announces that she wants to leave to make a long trip. Later, she asks Jake, who from now on works as the barman in Johnny's, where she could obtain a gun. Caroline interviews Alex about jobs on his vaccine for the newspaper of the students. Jeffrey goes to Mason to put things right concerning Pamela. Mason shows him the door first, but Jeffrey goes back to it. In front of Kelly, both men go at it using their hands. Mason learns that his mother would have sent him letters before dying, but Jeffrey wants to think that he did not receive them. Victoria learns from her doctor that she is having a boy. He tells her that she is going to touch the jackpot because it is generally known that the first grandson of C.C will have to inherit from a big part of his estate. Victoria questions Mason on this subject, who pretends not to know what she is talking about...

From this episode, Wish Foley replaces Sachi Parker in the role of Lucy Pickett.

Episode 702

Mason complains to C.C. about the cheque for two million dollars that he had asked him for. C.C. assures him not to have accepted news about Pamela for a long time. And yet with the departure of Mason, he opens the chest, in fate several letters posted from England and burns them in an ashtray. After a discussion with Sophia, Victoria comes to visit C.C.. She gets the confirmation of the fact that her doctor said to her: her son should inherit from a large amount of money further to the testament of the father of C.C.. Cain subjects Eden to a test: he sets fire to a basket and goes out of the cabin. Eden succeeds in extinguishing the fire in spite of her immobility. A small girl comes to knock at Cruz's to sell him boxes of chocolates. By seeing her, Cruz gets muddled up and makes incoherent comments to her. The little girl escapes and tells her father that Cruz wanted to touch her. Keith accepts a call informing him about a complaint in this direction against Cruz. Cruz, at the end of his wits, bears a grudge against Eden to have left him alone and throws pieces of furniture across the living room...

Episode 703

Victoria reproaches Mason for having married her only because she is pregnant and to grab the inheritance of C.C.'s father. Cruz is stopped and questioned by Keith to have acted inappropriately with the girl Courtney. Being annoyed at this accusation, Cruz hits Keith to the face and gives him his resignation from the police. Cain tries to look after Eden by washing her hair, by preparing food for her and by making her listen to music. But Eden does not any more support to be also dependent and imagines what she could inflict on Cruz by being handicapped. To tranquilize his desire not to go back, Cain shows her the newspaper article which announces her death in the explosion of the plane. Hayley and Ted are invited to the Orient-Express by Lucy. They find this behaviour strange, especially since she disappears too much for a long time in toilets. They find her on the roof of the Capwell Hotel, decided to throw herself off the building. As they do not succeed in reasoning with her, they call the police. Keith, Sharon (psychiatrist) and Cruz arrive there. Cruz skips the guardrail to hold her, but Lucy sees nonetheless no more reason to live...

Episode 704

By getting closer to Lucy on the roof of the Capwell Hotel, Cruz slides and almost falls off. He owes his survival only to the force of Lucy who helps him to regain his hold onto the barrier. To reassure her on the fact that he did not marry her for the money of the Capwell inheritance, Mason confesses to Victoria that he has already refused some money from C.C. at the time when he wanted to pay him to get married to her. But Victoria still doubts his love for her. The evening arrives, and she goes even to the point of locking him outside their flat. C.C. discovers that Mason lied to him concerning the object of the two million dollar cheque which he had signed to him. He goes to Victoria and learns that she waits for a boy. Back at home, he loses his temper by refusing that a child who would not be a true Capwell could inherit from his estate. Sophia persuades him from telling Cruz the truth as for the fatherhood of the baby, in spite of the death of Eden. George Pirson, the lawyer of C.C. enters the Capwell residence and announces that Eden had established a testament before her death and that the family must be united for the reading. On the beach, Mason finds Cruz, lying down and half intoxicated. He philosophises with him, before getting ready to reveal him a secret. Cain summed up to Eden the newspaper article which announces her death. Eden persuades herself that she is better in the mountains where to the members of her family, think that she has died rather than imposing on them. She dreams however that Cruz finds her in the cabin and dances her with her, until the blonde woman that she took hitchhiking the infamous day of her accident bursts and kills Cruz. At the same time in Santa Barbara, Eleanor by-passes Cruz's body lying asleep on the beach...

Episode 705

C.C. does not understand that Eden never spoke to him about the will which she had established. Learning that the will was written by the law firm where Julia and Mason work, he asks each of them if they were the authors. But neither of them knew. Mason searches his father's office and discovers that all his correspondence of the year 1986 disappeared and that documents were burnt. He understands that C.C. hid letters from him written by his mother. He finds Jeffrey and Alex to inform them about it. Jeffrey ends up excusing Mason for not having answered the calls of his mother before her death. At Sharon's office, Lucy falls nose to nose with her rapist. By howling, she interrupts Hayley and Ted and tries to persuade them that she did not dream this. Later, in the guest house at the Capwell residence where she is accommodated by Hayley, Lucy thinks this time that she heard the voice of her attacker. Hayley and Ted drive her to Cruz's, whom Lucy asks to protect her. At her office, Julia suddenly feels her baby move. She grabs Mason's hand and places it on her belly...

Episode 706

Lucy continues seeing William Addison, her rapist, without anybody else seeing him. Cruz takes up his trace up to his hotel room. Addison however succeeded, thanks to a recording system, in making the waiter believe that he was present in the room all day long and therefore could not be in pursuit of Lucy. The Capwell family and Jeffrey meet for the reading of the will of Eden. Ted succeeds in persuading Cruz to join them. It proves to be that Eden left all her inheritance to Cruz. But Cruz refuses the money and announces at the same time that he is leaving Santa Barbara. Sophia tries to persuade him to accept the last wish of Eden, even if it means transferring the money to charity. Eleanor uses the absence of Cruz to go to his home. She seems to try to eliminate all photos of Eden which she sees. In Utah, Cain tells Eden that as a War veteran of Vietnam, there was also a time where his legs were paralysed. But thanks to his courage, he has succeeded in walking again. He then gives a present to Eden: a deep tub of hot water...

Episode 707

Lionel must go to Guatemala for the continuation in discovery of Mayan treasures. He wants to invite Caroline to come with him, but she tells him that she must leave for New York. Once on the plane, Lionel comes to terms with leaving alone, until he discovers that his neighbour in the seat is Caroline, decided to join him. Jane must interview Keith for the university. But Keith cannot help but try to entice her. At Johnny's, everything ends in champagne and a plate of spaghetti bolognaise on Keith's head. Gina is back and continues her operation of seduction on Alex. She learns that he is about to buy back a pharmaceutical company. Now that Jeffrey made peace with Mason, Kelly finally gets closer to him and both go even to the point of embracing each other. Lucy goes to Cruz's, still frightened of threats from her rapist. Cruz goes to the prison where Addison stays, but learns nothing interesting. In his absence, Lucy accepts a new menacing phone call. Cruz hastens to see Lucy out to the Capwell residence where she will have more security. But the when the night arrives, Addison comes back to Cruz's and pours some powder into his glass and bottle of tequila. Some minutes later, Cruz, awakened, is going to use a new glass...

Episode 708

At Johnny's, Ted offers for Jake to work for him to raise thoroughbred horses which he intends to acquire. While she once again comes to disturb Alex during his research in the laboratory, Gina is surprised to see off-loading Mason. Alex quickly invents a reason to explain his visit, not to arise Gina's suspicion. But when Gina tells Keith about it, he suspects something and asks her to investigate. Eden, left momentarily by Cain, begins writing a letter for Cruz. But having no possibility to send it, she ends up destroying it. Victoria comes to visit Cruz to try to encourage him to regain the upper hand. She succeeds in being more convincing than Julia, since Cruz ends up going out with her, newly dressed. Eleanor, who came to knock at Cruz's, finds a small vial in front of his door and finds that it smells strange. After arguing with Mason, Victoria feels strong pain in the belly. Cruz again requests Keith to stop Addison for harassment. Keith reminds him that he is not a member of the police of Santa Barbara anymore and that he has only to ask for a licence of a private detective. Back at home, Cruz thinks about this idea before drinking a glass of tequila. With the barely a drunk glass, he collapses before even having been able to call for assistance...

Episode 709

Alex learns from C.C. that he will not make deals with him, since he found another investor for his vaccine. When he says to him that the contribution of the investment comes to two million dollars, C.C. understands that it is about Mason. Dr Ballard comes to see Victoria and reassures her as for her state, after her stomach problems. He gives her a sedative. Mason approaches Julia for having irritated him the day before by telling him about Victoria's visit to Cruz, which is what caused the dispute with Victoria, then her crisis. It is finally C.C. who goes to Mason and accuses him of having fooled him by investing two million dollars in Alex's plan. Brick goes to Amy's grave. He tells her that he is ready to move on with his life. With Jane, they plan to send for musicians to enliven Johnny's. Eden resolves to let her family believe in her death, not feeling happy of imposing her disability on them. Cain, to comfort her, massages her legs, then makes a wooden wheelchair for her. Eleanor, who prowls once again near Cruz, finds him lying down, inanimate. She drives him to the hospital where he regains consciousness. She is introduced by Cruz to Sophia and C.C., who have come to visit him. Fortunately still present at his side, Eleanor surprises Addison ready to poison Cruz once again with a syringe. But she says words to him about it. In his cabin, Cain, with a lost look, opens an old chest locked with a padlock. He seems to close it again because of painful memories of his past...
