Episode 390

It is Mary's birthday. Mason ties a white horse to the entrance of guest house for her. But the horse manages to get back into the small house and eats all the flowers, champagne and cake that Mark had prepared for Mary. Mason creates a lawyer's office on a table at the casino. Julia refuses to defend Augusta in her divorce with Lionel and offers to pay for Mason's services. Mason agrees to represent her for 10 % of all her earnings from Lionel. Hayley is jogging on the beach and meets Ted. They go to Buzz's, where Gina surprises them. Gina encourages Hayley to go out with boys rather than rich men. Santana doesn't want to repeat to Cruz the conditions imposed by C.C. for the guardianship of Brandon. Not wanting him to feel the pressure, she writes him a letter to break up. Kirk asks Eden to give up taking the pill. He exchanges her pills for different ones. While Eden is in the bathroom, he sees a frame that doesn't like right on the wall. By raising it, he finds a secret safe behind it in which Eden hides the letters which she is writing to Cruz...

Episode 391

Rosa criticises C.C. for once again playing with her daughter's life bearing a grudge forcing her to marry Cruz. She threatens to resign if he continues. Augusta asks Mason to help her value the collection of Lionel's art works without his knowledge. Mason gets Pearl's participation to help them enter by breaking into the cellar of the Lockridge residence. Augusta makes an inventory of pictures, and is surprised that Pearl recognises Matisse, whilst he listens to Vivaldi. Kirk is shocked and cries when reading Eden's letters, discovering to what extent she proves to be dishonest in their relationship. He searches at the party and persuades himself that she is with Cruz. On his return to the Capwell residence, Kirk wants to join Eden under the shower, but Eden refuses. He finds her there with force. In the hospital, Nick discovers that Dylan is with Kelly in the room. He takes him outside. Kelly swears to Nick that she has never slept with Dylan. Nick finds his brother at the casino and tells him that he died for him. With Dylan arriving he tells her that he doesn't understand why she lied to Nick. Nick goes back to the hospital, and once again gets Dylan out of Kelly's room...

Episode 392

Sophia meets Augusta in the Orient Express. She insists that she goes back to Lionel. Lionel discovers traces of steps belonging to Augusta in his cellar. He threatens her with charges for the break-in. Kelly gets out of the hospital. She announces to Nick her decision to move in with him. With Ted's help, she begins packing her things since the flat is currently being occupied by Dylan. Dylan announces to her that he is also leaving the flat to become established in the presidential suite of the Capwell Hotel. On his waking, Kirk finds a note from Eden telling him that she left to Los Angeles for business. Persuaded that it is a pretext to spend the day with Cruz, Kirk asks Gina to follow him by making her believe that Cruz discovered evidence on her attempted murder of C.C.. Gina encourages Hayley to offer herself as a servant to the Capwells. She makes her serve and serve at tables, as well as making beds. Kirk decides to follow Cruz himself. Cruz realises that a car is behind him. He manages to stop Kirk and, equipped with his weapon, finds him behind the steering wheel of his car...

Episode 393

Cruz finds Eden's letters on Kirk. Kirk takes them back, explaining that they are letters which Eden wrote to him. Cruz guesses that Kirk followed him because he thought that Eden was with him in his car. Rosa sees Hayley for a job interview. Hayley explains that her mother died while she was child and that her father has just died of a car accident. Rosa softens up and offers for Hayley to meet C.C.. Later, the telephone rings in Gina's hotel room: Hayley was hired as a servant. Mason accompanies Augusta at Lionel's place to negotiate the distribution of his art collection. Lionel phones his old friend Elizabeth Peale to get assistance in the estimate of his collection. But Liz can't come to help him. Mason invites Mary to have dinner in the Orient Express. Julia represents Angel Ramirez during the evidence which he must give the next day against dangerous criminals. As Angel was beaten in prison, Cruz offers to get him a night in a hotel outside the city to protect him. He sends Pearl to give a note to Eden so that she calls him at the hotel. But Kirk intercepts this note and thinks that Cruz arranged to meet his wife. He goes to the White cliff hotel, where Cruz, Pearl and Angel are. But Angel's enemies are also there...

Episode 394

In the Orient Express, Janice gives Mark papers for their divorce. Mark wants her to accompany him to Mexico to end the procedure fast. He finds Mary and Mason sitting at a table and proves to be jealous. He waits for Mary at home and makes a scene with her. He promises that they will however be married soon. Kirk gets closer to the window of Cruz's hotel room, thinking he will see him with Eden. Cruz has a feeling that they are being watched and leaves Pearl and Angel to go around the hotel. Kirk escapes, and drops Cruz's photo which Cruz finds on the ground. The man who has come to kill Angel pulls across the window of the room. Cruz announces to the journalists the death of Angel and a body leaves the hotel. But Angel didn't die, and it is Pearl who gets ready to spend the night locked up in the morgue. In the Capwell residence, Ted surprises Hayley dressing in a servant's costume in the office. Kirk finds her doing the cleaning in his room. At the end of his nerves, he shows her the door violently. When Eden comes back, Kirk waits for her with a revolver in the office. Eden tells him that she had left for Catalina to think. Kirk changes his mind and lines up his weapon. But he doubts her alibi...

Episode 395

At the clinic, Mark gives Mary flowers and an engagement ring. But Mary prefers returning them to him. Mason receives a package from Mark with a dozen living rats in his flat. Gina visits Mason and asks him to lend her some money. Mason refuses. In the early hours, Cruz goes to take Pearl out of the morgue. Julia joins them at Buzz's place and tells them that Angel has told everything at the court. Pearl has the idea of uniting Eden and Cruz. He asks Julia to help him organise a party for them in the Capwell cabin in the mountains of Santa Ynez. He sends Eden a message from Cruz and Cruz a message from Eden, which arranges a meeting at the cabin. Kirk finds a new letter from Eden addressed to Cruz in the safe. Eden and Cruz each head by car to Santa Ynez...

Episode 396

At the Casino, Warren tells his mother that the newspaper is facing financial difficulties and that he is almost penniless. He tries his luck in cards facing Brick. Mason finds his pasteboard model with a knife planted in his heart. With C.C.'s consent, Mark invites Mary to spend a weekend in the Capwell cabin in Santa Ynez. There, Julia and Pearl are decorating the inside of the cabin. At Cruz's arrival, Pearl disassembles a part of the engine of his car to prevent him from leaving again. Cruz surprises them and discovers that the meeting with Eden is a production. Whilst searching for Eden, Kirk enters by breaking into Cruz's place. He searches his whole home, to the point of finding Eden's supposed note arranging to meet in the cabin. He phones Rosa to find out the address. Eden arrives at the cabin. Cruz explains to her that it is Pearl who organised everything without their knowledge. Eden decides to leave, but her car doesn't start. She goes up on a horse and tries to run away. Cruz catches her and makes her get off. He kisses her by force...

Episode 397

Mary and Mark arrive at the cabin. As there isn't any heating, Mark tries to open the bottle of propane outside the home, in vain. Mary is unsettled by objects which remind her of Mason. Santana surprises Kirk at Cruz's place. She sees his hand covered with blood after he breaks a window pane. Kirk tells her that Cruz is with Eden and that they re-established their relationship. He goes to the Capwell residence to recover a revolver. At the casino, Warren continues his part of cards against Brick, in spite of the opinion of his parents. C.C. tries to persuade Augusta, but she isn't fooled by his conduct. Sophia arrives at the casino with a horseman in her arm. Lionel and C.C. prove to be jealous and come to blows. Eden and Cruz continue kissing each other. Cruz tries to persuade Eden that she isn't happy with Kirk. They walk away together...

Episode 398

Gina insists that Ted let her see Brandon. Gina is worried to see such a depressed son without spirit. Julia goes to search for Pearl in his flat to have dinner. She is surprised that he locks himself in the cupboard to get changed. Pearl's wardrobe in fact hides a door which enters in a richly decorated well-off living room. They are going to have dinner at the casino. Augusta, who serves them at the table, is surprised that Pearl orders the most expensive dishes. C.C. asks Mason to make sure that on the occasion of her divorce, Augusta recovers the villa to be able to buy it back from her then. Sophia encourages Augusta to clean her pride and to be reconciled with Lionel. Eden and Cruz go back to the cabin and are surprised to find Mary and Mark there. Eden feels obliged to explain to Mary that there is nothing going on between Cruz and her. Cruz sees the engagement ring which Mark took with him in case Mary would agree to marry him. Kirk arrives in a fury at the cabin after Mark and Mary's departure. He sees Eden in her bath talking with Cruz, who has come in to bring her some hot water. He goes up to the bottle of propane outside the cabin...

Episode 399

Dylan sends for Kelly and for Nick at the casino by helicopter under a false pretence. Kelly tells him that she hopes that her father is going to sell her share so that she doesn't have to work with him anymore. Nick's editor informs him that he isn't going to publish his book. Amy accepts Kelly's invitation to have dinner with Ted and Brick. But Brick refuses to go there. Kelly and Ted manage to persuade Brick that they have only good intentions towards him and her. Julia discovers that Pearl is deeper than he appears, even if she doesn't succeed in learning more about his life. Back in his flat, Pearl kisses Julia. In the cabin, Eden confesses to Cruz that she still loves him, but that she can't give in to her instincts. Kirk, persuaded that they are lovers, tries to burn the cabin, but he has no more petrol in the trunk of his car. He cuts his hand by opening the bottle of propane. Mary and Mark come back to the cabin with the wood for the chimney. Mary agrees to remain sleeping there, but tells Mark that she won't make love with him. A lamp with oil sets fire to the area near the bottle of propane. At night, outside the cabin, Mark sees a fire and calls Cruz to help. Kirk goes back to his car when suddenly an explosion blares...
