Episode 150

Warren is in the hospital to visit Elizabeth, who was accepted for appendicitis. He discovers the neighbour of room there, is Maggie Gillis, the police officer hurt during Peter's hostage-taking. Warren, attracted by Maggie, tries to get rid of the declaration of love he has with Elizabeth. Cruz has a plan to get Joe outside of the home: he calls him and makes him believe that Kelly is dying and that her last desire is to see Peter again one last time. Joe tries to persuade Peter to comply, but Peter remains suspicious. Kelly, who thinks she is a representative for this situation, leaves saying no word the team of intervention and, armed with a gun, enters the home of Perkins from behind. When Joe sees her, he makes a sign to fall on Peter, but his weapon seems empty. Peter, discovering what is hatched, falls on the couple...

Episode 151

Joe is affected by the shooting of Peter and collapses across the window. Kelly, to save his life, says to Peter that she has always liked only him and that she expects their baby. Peter is persuaded, when suddenly Kelly tries to grab the automatic gun. Peter understands that Kelly made light of him and tries to choke her. Cruz arrives to the rescue and falls on Peter who collapses on the floor and dies. Kelly does not want to wait and asks to be driven to the hospital, to find Joe. Ted meets Warren to whom he offers apologies to have wrongly accused him of the murder of his brother Channing Jr. He is then introduced by Jackie to Larry, been confined to a bed in one of the rooms. Ted is also the first of the family to meet Joe's doctor, who informs him that his state is critical and that his minutes are counted. When Kelly arrives, Ted has no courage to tell her the truth. Eden, continuously followed by Marcello, asks him to leave quietly and to leave again to Europe with her mother. Until he wakes up after his passage in surgery, Kelly, at his hospital bed, watches over Joe...

Peter Flint will reappear in the series as from episode 435.

Episode 152

Marisa and Jade relieve Kelly at Joe's hospital bed, when C.C. passes in one of the corridors of the hospital, Marcello has a memory suddenly of a child. Hidden in the cellar of his home, he helped his parents to hide an American airman during World War II, when the Nazis arrived and shot his parents from a higher floor. This airman, who let the mother die and the father of Marcello to save his hide, is other than C.C.. Mason does not understand that the whole family decides to hide Kelly with Joe's critical state of health. Very quickly, Joe dies in the arms of Kelly, not without having asked her to do live her life again after his death. Kelly then bears a grudge against the fellows that have hidden the truth on the state of her husband from her. She is taken in hand by Marcello, who walks her back home to the Capwell residence.  Ted offers Marisa to organise the funeral alone. In the guardhouse, as she expected it, Maggie sees herself being approached by Cruz for having missed the target during the hostage-taking. Cruz threatens her with suspension, but finally agrees to give her another chance. Sophia, thrown into a panic, goes to the Capwell residence to comfort Kelly. Eden and Marcello, for different reasons, strongly advise her not to go. Sophia then calls Mason to help her to approach her daughter. As Mason proves to be reserved, she reveals her reason for leaving the family and begins removing her glasses and brown wig...

Last appearance in the series of Joe Perkins.
It will be necessary to wait for episode 181 before seeing Marisa Perkins again and episode 182 before seeing Jade Perkins again.

Episode 153

Sophia tries to soften Mason up so that he helps her to approach Kelly. But Mason, unruffled, refuses to give her assistance. She reminds him that without her and her marriage with his father, his life would have been easier. Marcello hypnotises Kelly and arranges an appointment with her at his office of psychiatry, newly located in room 101 of the Capwell hotel. The hour of the appointment arrives, Kelly suddenly leaves all the family to find Marcello, without knowing really where he goes. Eden accompanies her. First reserved in facing the assistant who Marcello can bring to her sister, Eden is persuaded by the enthusiasm of Kelly. Gina gets worried about Mason finding out what C.C. could think of the actions with Hank Judson. Hank must indeed be released from prison the day before the marriage with C.C.. C.C. just has Marcello, on advice of Eden, called into the Capwell residence. Maintenance takes place until Marcello points out the war medals of C.C. supervised in his office. He then recollects again the death of his parents...

Episode 154

After the funeral of Joe, Cruz stays with Kelly in the graveyard. Together they share Joe's memories. Amy, Jackie and Larry have dinner in The Mesa, when Larry receives a message from an officer who has come to remind him in service. Larry ends up agreeing to return to his base, not without asking the charged serviceman to accompany him by car to leave him alone for half an hour on the back wall seat with Jackie... In The Mesa, Amy meets Elizabeth. Elizabeth reassures her on the fact that there has ever been anything between her and Brick and that Brick is madly in love with her. Amy then realises that she imagined things and agrees to remain having dinner with her. When arriving at home, Amy accepts Jeff's surprised visit. Jeff comes to claim back the 600 dollars which he had paid to her to have an abortion. He explains to her that he is not the father of the baby: he has just had an examination revealing that he is sterile. Amy refuses to believe it, proclaiming that she did not see any other man than him during the period when she got pregnant. Brick off-loads and shows Jeff the door. Back in the Capwell residence, Cruz tries to support Kelly. Eden seems to prove to be a bit jealous. Meanwhile, Marcello prepares his revenge against the first lieutenant of aviation C.C. Capwell...

Episode 155

Lionel learns that Brick is the administrator of the Lockridge's estate. Together with Augusta, he calls him and asks for an explanation. He suspects him of using the age of Minx to fool her. Augusta threatens Brick, but he knows that he has Minx's trust and recommends to his bosses to have this discussion with her rather. Brick then goes to Amy and accompanies her to the hospital, to meet her doctor, Dr Montclair. The doctor announces to Amy that, concerning her case, she is handing it over to Dr Renfro, a colleague of Boston. At first surprised, Amy ends up accepting this change. From his departure, Dr Renfro has a strange call from a mysterious person by telephone, confirming to him that he has succeeded in meeting the young lady Perkins. Mason visits Sophia afterwards at presidential suite of the Capwell hotel. He calls Eden, then Lionel, to have a general conversation with them.  All three demand that Sophia leaves the city and goes back to Europe, to keep their rhythm of uneventful life. Sophia, in tears, ends up accepting their request. Mason calls the reception of the hotel to prepare his note. Augusta, who followed Lionel up to the Capwell hotel, phones Jake, the henchman whom she had in the past asked him to prevent Joe from coming back to Santa Barbara after his exit from prison. She wishes that he forces Sophia to leave the city. So, when Sophia enters her car with the driver to go out to have lunch, she is confronted with two shady men who make her understand that she is a victim of an abduction...

First appearance in the series of Dr. Leonard Renfro.
First reappearance of both henchmen of Augusta, played by two new actors, since the first episode. Nathan Purdee, who represents one of them,
Jake, will come back in 1989 to play another character, Jed.
Dr. Montclair, Amy's doctor, is played by a new actress in this episode.

Episode 156

Sophia is driven to a stable by both henchmen hired by Augusta. Augusta then makes her appearance, claiming to Sophia that she leaves her quiet husband and that she leaves Santa Barbara for Italy. A violent fight with fists follows then, which ends in the K.O. of Augusta. C.C. announces to his daughters that his marriage with Gina has been moved forward to the next day. Eden continues opposing deeply to this union. She then entrusts Cruz with her ambition to run Capwell Enterprises one day. For the moment, she asks her father that he entrusts her with the management of the restaurant which he gets ready to construct on the top floor of the Capwell hotel. C.C. opposes to it, judging Eden to be too unskilled. In The Mesa, bothered by looks that throw her, with Kelly at the neighbouring table, Maggie decides to come over and speak to her and tries to apologise for her awkwardness the evening of the hostage-taking. Kelly proves to be cold and refuses to listen to her. Warren joins Maggie and tries to justify her actions. He then finds her at the police station and offers to take her out, but Maggie seems too preoccupied to accept his invitation. Sophia gets the two men to take Augusta back home. She explains what took place to Lionel and announces her that it was Augusta's intervention that made her finally decide not to leave Santa Barbara as she had resigned herself to it...

Episode 157

Laken tries to understand what preoccupies her mother, who gets worried not to see her with Lionel on this nice morning. Augusta ends up confessing to her that she fears that Lionel has taken back his link with Sophia, who is very living and in fact back in Santa Barbara. On his return, Lionel must confront Augusta's jealousy and swear to her that he feels only hate in relation to Sophia for all the trouble she caused to their family. Augusta threatens to leave him without notice if she discovers him in her company again. Minx arrives, who allows Lionel to change the subject and to rebound on the question of Brick. Minx succeeds in diverting the questions and enters the kitchen to have breakfast. Augusta demands that Lionel confesses the truth to her about Sophia. Lionel ends up complying, with the noise of broken dishes coming from the kitchen reassuring Augusta on this subject. In the Capwell residence, C.C. says to Gina that he wants to include Brandon in part of inheritance which he withdrew from Mason.  He offers her even to adopt Brandon officially, so that he changes his name to DeMott from Capwell. Gina cannot be any more delighted. At the time of trying on the wedding dress, she accepts a visit from Mason in her room. She pleads with him to do nothing prevent her marriage. Mason, decided to put bigamy forward to come from his father, phones Lionel. He asks him for the Chinese puzzle found in Amanda Lockridge in exchange for his intervention to prevent Gina's marriage to C.C.. Lionel accepts. At the high school, Laken, delighted for Ted, makes a mistake by asking him how he felt after finding his mother. In this statement, Ted understands that his mother is alive...

At the end of the episode, Mason phones Lionel alone while at the beginning of the following episode, C.C. is behind him to spy on him and makes him hang up before the end of their discussion...

Episode 158

Laken is forced to deliver the information she has to Ted with regard to Sophia. Feeling to have been so goofed, she devotes herself to Jackie. She leaves the class once again, eager to meet Sophia to ask her to quietly leave her father. Eden announces to Cruz of her plan for the restaurant which her father wants to construct: she envisages a reproduction of the Orient-express, the place with memories for her and Cruz. Ted comes to interrupt them, greedy to know why Eden hid the truth from him, his father and Kelly about Sophia. He later goes to the Capwell hotel, decided to discuss this with his mother. He finds Laken there whom asks him to leave this finding in peace. C.C., who surprises Mason on the telephone with Lionel, hits him in the face and threatens to make him lose the job of assistant district attorney if he is against the wedding with Gina. Mason then threatens C.C to reveal to Gina the true reason of this union: make Brandon, his grandson, an official Capwell heir.  Mason uses the visit of Brandon to succeed in being invited to the ceremony, which is going to be held in the residence - even. He already begins however making appointments with the aim of his dismissal to come... The reverend arrives, the ceremony begins around the fiancés, Eden, Kelly, Brandon and Mason. When the question of a possible objection to the marriage is asked, Mason gets ahead and announces to know a reason for this union not to take place...

Episode 159

Afterwards at the presidential suite of the Capwell hotel, Ted finds his mother finally. Both recollect his memories of childhood with nostalgia. Ted seems to excuse her absence, her link with Lionel and the fact that she has hidden her return for weeks from him. At the time of leaving her, he introduces her to Laken. Laken hastens to ask Sophia to quietly leave the family. In the Capwell residence, Mason interrupts Gina's and C.C's marriage by proclaiming that C.C. is still legally married to Sophia. Gina, angry, slaps Mason. Mason recommends that she correct herself, not without recalling in front of Eden the name of Hank Judson to threaten her. C.C. calls his lawyer to ensure he is able to marry Gina as quickly as possible. It also crosses several phone calls intended to definitely put his elder son on earth. At the district attorney's office in Santa Barbara, he asks to undertake his dismissal; of the friend lawyer of Mason, he asks to refuse to engage him; to his bank, he makes them close his account... When Mason discovers what his father is making, he goes back to the residence, filled with rage and with alcohol. Eden, Ted and Cruz try to stop him, but Mason takes over a sword hung on the wall and goes up to the floor. He enters the room of C.C., where C.C. is in the bed, and getting ready to make love with Gina. Mason asks Gina to think about the true reason she wants to push his father to want to marry her: it would not be love, but rather his son, Brandon. Gina is taken back, but Cruz's intervention stops Mason. Mason promises to C.C. that their rivalry is only the beginning...
