"Santa Barbara, qui me diraaa pourquoiii j'ai le mal de vivre. Santa Barbara, je ne sais paaas, je vais comme un bateau ivre, emportant mes souveniiirs !" Who (in France) has not hummed the heady opening credits of this "cult" soap-opera ? Come on, a little courage the thirty years old ! Indeed, it is between 14 October, 1985 and June 24, 1994 that TF1 broadcasted Santa Barbara and its 1044 (first) episodes of war without mercy among four Californian families. In the center of all these discords, a couple. What a couple ! Eden Capwell, daughter of the great patriarch, and Cruz Castillo, a virile detective with Hispanic origins. At their arrival in France for the shooting of an episode, they were welcomed as true stars and signed autographs massively. But what happened to those two actors, Marcy Walker and A Martinez (A for Adolfo !) ?

Priority to women with Marcy Walker who performed Eden Capwell from 1984 to 1991. On the hills of Santa Barbara, she lived a long (very long !) thwarted love affair with Cruz. "The problem with this kind of show is that the storylines never get exhausted," she told to colleagues. In 1991, she threw in the towel and found refuge in another soap opera, All my Children, for ten years. Nothing special thereafter. And in 2006, Marcy Smith (she took over the name of her fourth husband) finds her way as a priest in a parish for children in South Carolina. Born in 1961, she celebrates her 50 years old this year.

For A Martinez, the projects have not necessarily increased after he left the show in 1992. A few parts in other shows (L.A. Law, One Life to Live), an album of ballads, and then the crash. The great professional void, but a busy family life with three children artist-performers who give him a total satisfaction. Still, A Martinez took over, in early 2011, the path of the studios : as a guest in the series Castle and in a recurring role in The Bold and the Beautiful, another successful soap. The name of his character ? Ramon ! It can not be invented !

Lane Davies : Remember him, he played the role of Mason, the tortured son of the Capwell dad. Now, he continues his career on stage and recites Shakespeare. "I only work on projects that either interest me or that I create."

Jed Allan : C.C. Capwell, the patriarch of the family, since his departure in 1993, obtained roles in soaps. In 2005, he released his autobiography and participated in a cruise as a luxury host. Not famous !

Robin Wright : After leaving the show in 1988, the one who played Kelly Capwell turned towards movies with among others Forrest Gump. Married to Sean Penn, she has often fueled the tabloids before divorcing.

Todd McKee : The youngest of the Capwells, Ted, was faithful to the show until 1989. Then he joined another soap team, that of The Bold and the Beautiful. His character is named Jake Mclaine.

Judith McConnell : She was Sophia, the mother of Eden, Ted and Kelly Capwell. At the top of her fame with this part, the actress dropped the show in 1993 and then played in a continuous way some roles in successful series : Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Place, JAG...
