Louise Sorel fired from Days of our Lives

Hard blow and without any hope for Louise Sorel in October : Ken Corday and Tom Langans, the current executive producers of the soap Days of our Lives on NBC decided not to renew her contract expiring at the beginning of the coming year... The incomprehension is really important especially because Louise plays a character very appreciated by the public, Vivian Alamain, "the viper which one adores to hate", since 1992.

Louise especially complained to have learned the news in the columns "Rumours" from an American news magazine, several weeks before her "boss" finally announces it officially. "They're making a terrible mistake" already regrets the one who was Augusta Lockridge in Santa Barbara between 1984 and 1991.

However Louise did not decide to let her done : she right now agreed to join Judith Light (Who's the Boss ?) in Wit, a very estimated play which should begin in Broadway soon...

Nancy Lee Grahn wearied...

The dismissal without reason of Louise Sorel untied the tongues of differents actors of soap these last weeks in the USA, wearied to see themselves often put on the background by producers not always really professionals...

Among them, Nancy Lee Grahn openly criticized the work of the writers in connection with her character of Alexis Davis in General Hospital : " Wally (Kurth, her partner in the soap) and I were put together without a story, so the audience is doing that because they want something to happen between Jax and Alexis."  The character of Nancy appears indeed very disappointing compared to the one of Julia Wainwright in Santa Barbara. A criticism which one could also bring, according to the American fans, to the new roles in their respectives soaps of Marcy Walker (ex-Eden), Robin Mattson (ex-Gina) or Justin Deas (ex-Keith)...

Dallas is back on TF1... Will Santa Barbara follow in 2000?

Since October 11, a great institution makes its come-back on French television : it is Dallas, haloed of its charm very "Eighties" which one does not present any more... This happy resurrection confirms the decision of TF1 to anchor a crenel of American TV shows between 11a.m. and midday each morning, after the successive diffusions of T.J. Hooker then Chicago Hope. Thus is finally present the new hope to see reborning from its ashes our beloved Santa Barbara : all the chances are on our side, us fans of the Capwell familly, to obtain the return of the show at the end of the repeat of Dallas in 2000-beginning 2001...

For that, it is useless to waste more time, a petition for the return of Santa Barbara awaits you on this site, in a few seconds, a simple E-mail address will be enough... Rendez-vous on the page of the Petition, accessible from the Home Page, the frame on the left of the screen or by clicking there...

Your support is necessary so that finally Santa Barbara returns on French television with the new episodes that we all impatiently wait !
