The information was communicated to us on the Forum of the site : Justin Gocke, the interpreter of young Brandon from 1987 till 1992 died on Monday, September 08th. Rumors recently announced his death, which was confirmed by a notice from his family on Antelope Valley Press website.
Justin Gocke had begun
an acting career at six years old, before succeeding Brandon
Call in the role of Brandon DeMott Capwell in Santa Barbara at the age of nine. From August 1987 till February 1992, he marked the show of his youth, his talent and his freshness. In 1989, he even won a Daytime Emmy award for the quality of his performance.
At the end of Santa
Barbara, he had given up his nevertheless promising acting career to study business.
Passionate about music, described as
a kind and generous person, Justin Gocke died at the age of 36. Rumors speaking about a suicide remain to confirm. All our thoughts go to his family and his friends.

Homage : Stephen Lee (1955-2014)

We just learned the death, on August 14, of actor Stephen Lee. Accustomed to supporting roles on television and cinema, Stephen Lee had played two characters in Santa Barbara : Roger Ellroi, high school friend of Celeste and Scott in 1989, then at the end of 1991 Dr. Moose Barthell, the veterinarian who helps Gina to give birth to Channing Capwell III.
The actor died from a heart attack at age 58.
Homage : Victoria Mallory (1949-2014)

From April to June 1991, she was Dr. Denise Foxworthy in Santa Barbara, Julia's therapist after her rape and victim of Dash's little schemes. Victoria Mallory died on Saturday, August 30 at 64 years old.
It is the role of Leslie Brooks in The
Young and the Restless from 1977 till 1984 that made her known of the public. But she was already very active on stage, where she made her singer's talents shine in many musicals, in particular in Broadway. Since then, she had continued to perform and to teach singing.
Suffering from pancreatic cancer, Victoria Mallory leaves behind her her husband Mark Lambert and their daughter Ramona Mallory Lambert, also an actress.
No continuation for A Martinez

Since 2012, A Martinez (ex-Cruz Castillo) holds a recurring role in the TV series Longmire. But the 3rd season which has just ended in August will be the last one : the channel A&E decided not to order a continuation.
A Martinez is thus going to have to say goodbye to his character of Jacob Nighthorse, the shady businessman of Absaroka County.
The only hope would be to see the series resumed on another channel of
the American cable; the negotiations are in progress. To be continued ?
Robin Wright lost

Yesterday evening occured the 66th Primetime Emmy awards ceremony, during which Robin Wright (ex-Kelly Capwell) was nominated as outstanding lead actress in a drama series for House of Cards.
Unfortunately, Robin saw
herself being stolen the show on stage by Julianna Margulies, the heroine of The Good Wife.
House of Cards having been renewed for a 3rd season on Netflix, let us wish to Robin to be able to reattempt her chance in 2015 !
Thaao's memories

At 68 years old, Thaao Penghlis (ex-Dr. Micah DeAngelis) presents his memoirs. Places : The Journey of My Days, My Lives get released on this July 15 in the United States.
Born in Australia, of Greek ascendants, Thaao Penghlis
made himself known from 1981 thanks to the character of Victor Cassadine in the soap-opera General Hospital. Then, it was Tony DiMera in Days of our Lives until 1996, excepted between 1992 and 1993 when he appeared in the last year of Santa Barbara. He then resumed the part of Tony DiMera from 2002 till 2009 (see
the News of 02/13/2009). In France, the actor is especially known by the television series fans for his part of Nicholas Black in the remake of the cult series of the 60s Mission : Impossible.
In
his autobiography, Thaao Penghlis talks about his career, his acting partners and his many journeys worldwide, letting appreciate even more his personality. A book to discover.
