A Martinez rewarded !

The American Latino Media Awards reward each year the best representatives of the Hispanic population of Hollywood. It was thus normal that the talent of A Martinez had been finally celebrated there, last 16 April. To see A receiving the award of the best outstanding actor in a daytime soap, it will be necessary to watch ABC next 17 June where will be aired the ceremony...

The transition period of Louise Sorel after her forced departure from the soap Days of our Lives did not last a lot : last 31 March, Louise already left the stage of the ABC soap Port Charles, three weeks after her arrival. Her character of Donatella Stewart was in any case provisional upon the departure, but Louise hoped to be able to prolong her contract and to become a "regular" of the show. The executive producer of Port Charles, Julia Hanan Carruthers, wants to be reassuring : "We would like to see her returning from time to time"... A reprieve for Louise ?...

The new soap Passions arrives in France !

It is now official : Passions, the last-born american soap-opera will unload on French television in a few months... Created by James E. Reilly to replace Another World (1963-1999) of which the ratings were dangerously falling, Passions describes the tumultuous life of various families in the small American town of Harmony, where loves, lies and blackmails have the nice share... At the beginning very discussed by the critics and the public itself (bad cast, not very credible rebounds, awkward scenarios...), the soap however quickly found its public and made its place among the daytime programs in the United States since its first airing, July 5, 1999 on NBC.

We are still unaware for the moment of which between TF1 or France 2 bought the rights of the diffusion of the show... France 2 would plan to use it to succeed to Loving (1983-1995) of which the diffusion of the last season is going to end, while TF1 would use it to replace Sunset Beach (1997-1999) of which the audience has never succeeded in taking off (however it remains to TF1 more than one year of episodes to air...). For the moment, the suspense remains absolute...
