Major Phillip Hamilton acquires this house on his arrival in Santa Barbara. He also bids to his real estate agent not to let Gina DeMott Capwell buy it before him.

The spacious villa is occupied by Phillip as well to live as to work. Next to the living room and its indispensable sofa, we find his desk where he works daily on his stock market transactions or his operation of reunion between Vietnam veterans and their children born in this country. He sometimes gives his chair to Andrea Bedford, whom he makes work for him whereas he had originally offered her an office outside his home.

Some large windows diffusely illuminate a rich collection of Asian art : statues, paintings, ancient weapons...

On the right of the living room, a raised area provides access to a door leading to the bedrooms. They are occupied by Phillip, of course, but also by his faithful servant, Kai, or by friends of passage, like Victoria Lane, during her drug problems.

At the bottom of the main room, a closet is used for storage. This is also where Cruz Castillo will find one day his young son, Chip, imprisoned by mistake.

At the front of the room, some French windows open onto a small patio, where Phillip enjoys taking his tea or meditate in the evening.
