Even if he seems not much frequented by its pupils on the screen, the Lyman high school is one of the most renowned schools of Santa Barbara. The social status of some of its pupils, as the rich heirs Ted Capwell and Laken Lockridge shows it, even if some high school students coming from more modest families, as Jade Perkins, also frequent the place.

We know from the inside of the high school only one of the corridors, clear and spacious, leading to the classroom the most often frequented by Ted, Laken or Jade and their friends.

It is there that follow the one to the other the lessons dispensed by Mr. Bottoms or Jackie Parks, English teacher and friend of Amy Perkins'. Mr. Bottoms's classroom is a very simple one : a wide room with clear tones, a board, and as for desks some wooden tables where two students can take place. And naturally, because of patriotism, an American flag is put between the windows. Curiously in Mr. Bottoms's class, the pupils do not learn either history or sciences, but how to manage a budget in a couple ! As if such a lesson could really have any importance for the heirs of these rich families...

Finally, even if she was never shown in exercise, we know that Marisa Perkins works in the high school as a cleaner, and that Peter Flint had been there a physics teacher.
