At the death of the Italian Count Armonti in 1984, Sophia Capwell, his wife, is his only heiress. This is how, at her return in Santa Barbara after several years of absence, she finds herself at the head of the prosperous Armonti industries. We know a few of the business sectors covered by these companies, at the most that they touch for a big part the world of fashion and haute couture.
The
offices of Armonti industries are situated at the ground floor of the Capwell
Hotel. We know especially the small hall, with walls of green darkened color,
giving access to the office of the president, Sophia.
This room, enlightened by a big window looking onto the outside, gives a good place to glass bricks on the wall of entrance, but also on the wall behind the desk, giving an impression of brightness. Big leather sofas of cremate color strengthen the top of the range image of the company. Sophia's desk is situated at the bottom of the room, turned in front of the entrance.
Of the offices of Armonti industries, we were also able to see the darkroom, situated in the basement, which is used for the development of fashion photos by Sophia and her employees. Gina Capwell will trap her hand in the door by wanting to prevent Sophia from going out of it with pictures in order to ruin a contract.
Among the employees of Armonti industries, we know Kelly, Sophia's daughter, but also T.J. Daniel (who makes himself responsible for an embezzlement), the accountants George Crowder and Mr. Samuel, and in 1992 Ken Mathis, Sophia's new husband, just as his mistress, Andi Klein, hired as a secretary.
In 1989, to help her husband C.C., Sophia agrees to merge Armonti industries with Capwell enterprises and to create so a stronger group in front of the threats of Robert Barr's takeover, Capwell/Armonti. But Sophia loses the head of her companies. She then has to share her president's post with her forever enemy, Gina, who comes for a few months to settle her desk beside hers. At last, in 1992, Sophia hires to work with her her new husband, Ken Mathis, and - without her knowing - his mistress, Andi Klein.
