Cruz Castillo's boat
Port of Santa Barbara

Avid to settle down in town (maybe because he crossed again, by a big chance, the road of Santana Andrade), Cruz asks her to find him his future home. He has no particular clause to submit her, except that he wishes to live near the ocean. And he is quickly thrilled by Santana's idea : a boat moored in the port.

The boat presents all the advantages of an apartment : a kitchen, a main room, a corner to sleep, a bathroom. Cupboards and refrigerator are embeded in the walls of the boat. A fine white door in Venetian blinds allows to reach the boat. And, after a quite small hall (materialized by a step and bounded by a small barrier), where we find hung on the wall a boat wheel, we enter the main room. Certainly because Cruz hopes to see Santana more often, he suggests her to take in charge the decoration of his boat. From blue, the walls thus turn in beige and brown.

Immediately after the hall, a door on the right gives access to the bathroom.

Windows situated above the kitchen and the bed allow to the light and the ocean breeze to pass.

In an angle on the left of the boat, Cruz tidies up his souvenirs, in particular his secret agent's former objects (used during Joe's offshore disappearance and right before the earthquake).

On the right, below the entrance, there is the bed where Eden Capwell regularly comes to find Cruz.

Cruz taking more importance in the storylines quickly, the boat will become one of the most used places. It will be used by Joe and Kelly, will be used as place for to Amy and Brick's honeymoon, but it is especially with the arrival of Eden in Cruz's life, that the boat will take all its importance. The boat will be the witness of their love, their quarrels (the storyline linked to the engagement ring which will almost finish in the toilet pan) and of their reconciliation. But after all, Eden will eventually find her marks there...

In 1987, the set of Cruz's boat will be used again for Jake Morton's one.
