Of British origin, the Pepperidges seems to arise out of a certain nobility, although they slowly lost of their importance. Pamela seems to be the only interesting member of this family, although she seems to exist, in the first years, only by her close relations with the Capwell children whom she seduces the one after the other : Grant, then C.C.. Madness, lie, treason and vengeance become then Pamela's key words.

Vengeance, because Pamela wants to take revenge for Sophia Wayne who took her place in C.C. Capwell's heart. Vengeance, because C.C. forced her to abandon her son Mason, before being pushed out of the town.

Treason, because Pamela did not hesitate to betray Grant for the benefit of C.C.. Treason, because in the same way, Pamela cheated on her husband with Hal Clark.

Madness, because Pamela will not stop plotting to take revenge of the Capwells, even if for it she has to use her children. Madness, because Pamela is ready for anything for this vengeance : to accuse C.C. of Hal's murder, to let her daughter Elena try to kill each of the Capwell children, to reveal old secrets, to pay a man so that he puts an end to her son Jeffrey's marriage, and even to try to kill her daughter-in-law Kelly. Ready for anything, Pamela does not care about wounds she causes at each of her children. She does not matter the feelings of Mason, Jeffrey or Elena.

Excepted Mason (who is perhaps more a Capwell), all the members presented of the Pepperidge family will know a tragic fate. The seal of Pamela's lies and madness will have too much weighted on each of them...
