Andrea and Cain request a judicial injunction to stop development at the country-club for ecological reasons. They ask Julia to help them in their battle. For her part, Pamela persuades Mason to defend her interests. So the couple discover that they are going to have to work once again as adversaries. Andrea learns that Richard is still alive and hides this from Cain. She gets the plane from her research. Victoria agrees to bring back Mel, confined to bed in the private rehabilitation hospital, with the cocaine she had found in her jacket to use during an improvised celebration. But Mel replaces the powder with some sugar and uses the cocaine Victoria once left. When Victoria goes back to visit, Mel's heart stops and he dies. Kelly's doctor tells her that she is pregnant. Kelly is not sure if she wants to keep the baby, and decides to say nothing about it to Jeffrey...

Victoria and Scott find themselves the only ones at Mel's funeral. Eden and Cruz study brochures to find the place that Eden dreamt about. Carmen gives her the wedding dress worn by all generations in the family, but she realises that it looks ridiculous on her future daughter-in-law. Pearl celebrates Rita's birthday at Johnny's and Jake gives her a photo album. Kelly tells Ted in confidence that she is pregnant and that she must make a decision. Ted hastens to alert Jeffrey. Jeffrey finds Kelly in a private hospital where she is ready to have an abortion...
Kelly explains to Jeffrey that she had finally decided to keep the baby. Jeffrey agrees to excuse her. Pamela incidentally discovers that Kelly is pregnant and hastens to inform C.C. of it. C.C. comes to celebrate the news with Kelly, who persuades herself that Jeffrey told his mother, while they had resolved to keep it a secret for the moment. While questioning Well, Cruz discovers that Keith is listening to him with a microphone. He then questions Pamela about a key having belonged to Hal, a key of which looks similar to one for a small buoy. Cruz is persuaded that it is a key for a boat. An audience arrives in the court concerning the plan of the country-club. Mason represents his parents, while Julia defends the environmentalists in the presence of Cain. Cain is surprised at the absence of Andrea, who does not answer her messages. Andrea joined Richard in a hospital room. Just before dying, he tells her that Cruz is the murderer of her father. Andrea goes back to Santa Barbara, with a vengeful mind...

Eden pushes Cruz to go to his bachelor party that his friends organised at the Orient-Express. Keith stops the stripper supposed to jump out of a cake and requests for Gina to hide in it to listen to discussions about Hal Clark if his name came up. Eden and Julia go there to spy on their respective spouses. Julia is alarmed to see Mason drunk at the party all along, then to kiss Gina on the lips when she ends up popping out of the cake. Gina finds Keith in the arms of the stripper. To be excused, Keith iterates his proposal and sends for a judge to get married, with the stripper for a witness. Andrea discovers that Cain knew that Cruz was the murderer of her father. Once the party ended, Cain drives her to Cruz's so that he can explain...

Cruz explains to Andrea that he was in Baghdad when her father was assassinated, being operated on for an appendicitis during the daytime. For Cruz, the only one who can be the murderer is Richard. Andrea verifies this information and goes back to apologise for her wrong accusations involving Cruz. From T.J.'s idea, Sophia announces to C.C. that she plans to recover the Armonti Enterprises which she had entrusted to him some years earlier. Ted is reconciled with his mother and returns to live in the Capwell residence. Gina and Keith are about to get married, when the judge discovers that Keith's wedding licence expired. Gina gives him until midnight to find a solution. To update his licence, Keith goes to another judge with Gina and tries to enter his residence by breaking-in. Thrown into prison, they meet with a reverend who is their neighbour in the cell. He, completely drunk, just manages to have the ceremony just before midnight. But the truth is finally revealed - the man is not a priest anymore since he was removed from the church some years ago for alcoholism...
Gina is upset to be locked in a cell and to miss her plan to ruin the bridal shower for Eden. Keith has the idea of calling a stripper for this party to embarrass the women. But the stripper gets the address wrong and turns up at Keith's cell, who is horrified. Gina calls Mason, who pleads their case to the judge. Once released, Gina offers Keith to marry her next Friday. After her party, Eden speaks to her mother about the place which she saw in a dream for her marriage. Sophia recognises the place: it is where she and C.C. conceived Eden all those years earlier. Eden announces the good news to Cruz...
The judge returns his verdict in the country-club development: he allows this to occur against a guarantee that the environment is not affected. Julia is not used to loosing cases. Eden and Cruz invite Victoria to their wedding. They do the same with Pearl, who offers Rita to accompany him. Scott traps Victoria to make her confess that it is cocaine which killed Mel in the private hospital. Kelly feels pain when repainting the living room. Her doctor recommends taking it easy physically and psychologically. On the road towards the place of their wedding to come, Eden and Cruz recollect memories of their common past. Arriving there, they are filled with wonder by the beauty of the place. But somebody spies on them by a window of the hotel...
Keith buries his bachelorhood in The Lair, with only one guest, a prostitute. Gina suffers dealers' mockery to make the wedding dress and the invitations. She ends up discovering that the day which she set for her marriage is the same day of Eden and Cruz's wedding. Julia is worried to see Mason unable to speak marriage with her. Feeling a little compelled, Mason decides to leave to live elsewhere so that Julia can think. Seeing her in a dream, Jake offers Margot to accompany him to Eden and Cruz's wedding. The hotel operator of Pebble Creek tells Eden that he remembers having welcomed her parents about thirty years earlier. Eden heads straight for the room that they had occupied. While she discusses this with Cruz, an old record imitating the styles of an earlier period suddenly plays...

Eden learns from Julia that Mason left their home. She has lunch with Mason and tries to make him change his mind. But he decides that Julia is the only one he would want to marry. Jeffrey explains to Kelly where he appears to be protective towards her, it is because his mother has already been a victim of a miscarriage when he was child. Pamela visits Kelly and Jeffrey to find out more about their preparations. It encourages C.C. to agree to invite her, but he does not and leaves ahead of time to Pebble Creek. Eden and Cruz picnic on the beach at night. Cruz begins dozing off, when suddenly Eden tells him that she cannot move her legs anymore...

On the beach, Eden, who cannot move her legs, begins feeling delirious. Cruz takes her to the hospital, where all the Capwells, as well as Andrea and Cain, arrive to her hospital bed. Sophia is reconciled with C.C. there, while Mason offers Julia to marry him. But Eden detoriates and dies that night. Cruz goes to the beach house and commits suicide with a revolver. In Heaven, he finds Eden and meets the small girl whom they would have been able to have if Eden had not had a miscarriage. God grants them to go back on Earth and Cruz wakes up, still on the beach next to Eden, in good health. Preparations for the wedding can resume...
