Episode 720

Kelly finds miserable Jeffrey. Indeed, he knows that he is going to have to tell her the truth concerning the death of his wife before C.C. makes him. Cruz asks Keith to get him a private detective licence. In a painting exhibition, Gina admires a rather vulgar picture representing a fairy going out of water. She is persuaded by it and asks Lionel, who the owner is, to sell it to her. As he refuses Gina, on Keith's idea, she finds Alex in his laboratory and questions him about the vaccine. Learning that he almost ended it, Gina goes back to see Lionel and tells him the news, in exchange for permission to buy the painting. Lionel goes to Alex's laboratory and pleads him to use the vaccine on Caroline, even if it was not tested yet.  Mason accepts a new anonymous call saying to him that Eden is alive. Eager to wait alone for a next call, he encourages Victoria to go and see her mother for a few days in Mendocino with Chip. At the railway station, Victoria phones Mason and Julia answers, who has come to visit him. She hangs up immediately. The estate agent for Cruz's home comes to announce that she found a customer for his home. But Cruz explains to her that he does not want to leave any more. Of course, the customer is Eleanor. Cruz asks her to cease insisting to become his friend. Keith calls Cruz to inform him that he got him his licence. Some metres from his home, Eleanor listens to their discussion by a system of remote listening...

Episode 721

Cruz accepts the surprised visit of his young 17-year-old sister, Carmen. She explains that she left the family address because she fears for her life having been followed by a Mexican customs officer whom she surprised as a pusher of drugs. Cruz promises to help her. Lionel uses the absence of Alex to hide in his laboratory a vial containing a vaccine. Alex accuses Gina, Keith, then Lionel of this issue. In spite of the risks, Caroline, still confined to bed, entrusts Lionel knowing that she has nothing more to lose. Keith announces to Gina that she has returned from her post of secretary. As she fell out with Alex who accuses her of having betraying him with Lionel, Gina fears not to meet any more at his flat and to meet on the street. She is going to plead with C.C. to help her, but he proves to be pitiless.  Finally, Alex comes to give her a blank cheque to be excused for having lost his temper, then Keith comes to return the job to her against some benefits in kind. Gina weighs the for and against and accepts both offers. C.C. gives Jeffrey an ultimatum so that he tells Kelly the truth about his former spouse. But Jeffrey finds it difficult to be resolved there, especially since Kelly goes beyond enthusiasm by making him visit the home which she found for them. He goes to Mason's office and asks for his assistance. The evening arrives, C.C., is ready to tell Kelly everything, accepts a call from Jeffrey. He asks him not to say anything to Kelly, because he has decided to leave Santa Barbara for good...

Episode 722

Kelly discovers that her father is at the origin of the departure by Jeffrey. She decides to find him in the Valley of Death, where he has become established in a small motel. Cruz goes to the offices of the Capwell Hotel which he rented to open his detective agency and discovers that they are already furnished and decorated. He learns that it is Sophia who had surprised him with this. Carmen just meets Sophia and asks her to show her a photo of Eden, Cruz having thrown away all those that he had. Sophia agrees to give her one. Eleanor finds C.C. in the Orient Express and offers him to buy back the restaurant from Eden, but C.C. refuses. Eleanor then goes to Cruz's agency and assumes the role of a private detective. Keith is more and more interested in Alex's serum and in the money which he could bring back to him if he succeeded in the hand over. But he is already too much late: Caroline was injected only with the existent dose. Lionel gets worried about how the vaccine is going to affect the woman whom he loves. Cruz comes back home from his first working day and finds a photo of Eden in a frame. He agrees finally to speak about her to Carmen...

Episode 723

Laken organises a holiday on the beach to celebrate her return. Carmen encourages Cruz to go there with her. Eleanor joins them there, having seen herself once again pushed back by Cruz. Sheltered from looks, she pays two men to attack Carmen. She pretends to discover the attack and puts them to the ground with her karate moves. She is so taken for a heroine and Cruz gives in by agreeing to engage her in his detective agency. On holiday, Jane is accosted by a man who calls her Roxanne and tells her that he has gone out with her in the past. When it becomes more pressing, Brick plans an escape. Jane ends up telling Brick about this dark period of her past and Brick tells her that he likes her.  Laken uses animation to get closer to Ted and to succeed in making Hayley jealous. Hayley is shortly comforted by Jake, who tells her that he often thinks of her. Mason drinks more than reason. Julia takes him under her wing and brings him back home, after having lost his keys. She puts to bed him on her sofa, at the time when Laken enters Julia's and discovers this stage of intimacy. In the cabin, Cain tells Eden about a painful stage of his life in Vietnam, when he saw some of his friends dying in an ambush. Later, Eden overturns by awkwardness a cup of burning water on her legs. She quickly forgets pain by realising that she is not numb to it any more...

Episode 724

Mason wakes up on Julia's sofa without remembering what happened the night before. At the office, he accepts a new anonymous call in the presence of Kelly and entrusts her that he thinks that voice says plainly about Eden. At Johnny's, Julia asks Laken not to tell anyone that Mason slept at her home last night. Facing Julia's concerns, Laken guesses that she is hiding something else from him other than Mason is the father of the baby for whom she waits. Arrived at the office, Julia says to Mason that Laken guessed everything and that she thinks it is simpler to tell everybody the truth. Mason forbids her to, thinking first of all of Victoria. Hayley, still jealous of Laken, finds shelter on the beach to isolate herself. Jake finds her there and, after one afternoon of entertainment, ends up embracing her. Meanwhile, Laken joins Ted in Abernathy stables, when Ted's mare begins looking low.  Pearl offers Cruz to work as detective with him. But Eleanor did not abandon her application and offers to find the only one Jeffrey in eight hours, in exchange for her appointment. She manages to alert the sheriff of the Valley of Death, by asking him to stop Jeffrey. Jeffrey is fast behind bars. Eleanor joins him there to persuade him to come back with her to Santa Barbara, by telling him that Kelly had a serious accident. This did not happen, but Eleanor has to achieve this deal with Cruz so he is forced to hire her...

Episode 725

Laken helps Ted to deliver Win Dancer, his mare. Hiding her emotion, Laken does not hold back anymore alluding to their loving past. On the beach, Hayley explains to Jake that she loves Ted and that she cannot start a relationship with him. But when she finds Ted, she discovers in his trouser pocket a handkerchief embroidered with the initials of Laken. Keith asks Gina to spy on Alex to find out where the trials on the vaccine are. As Alex is now wary of Gina, she comes back empty-handed. The evening arrives, Gina and Keith meet to force their way into Alex's laboratory in search of the famous serum. Jeffrey tells Kelly the circumstances of the death of his wife and the fact that he was discharged for absence of proof at the end of his trial for murder. But he fears that Kelly is not capable of excusing him. Kelly ends up finding him in the coach station and asks him to stay...

Episode 726

Caroline feels much better after having been injected with the vaccine of Dr Nikolas. Alex asks her for a blood test to understand reasons, but Lionel refuses. Alex then goes to Cruz's detective agency and asks him to investigate the removal of his vaccine. He is introduced to Eleanor, who seems to know him. Pearl decides to investigate Eleanor and receives an examination of their old agent called Eleanor Norris from Interpol. But this document does not coincide with that of Eleanor whom he knows. She doesn't give him a very credible explanation and, to stop any cross-examination, she takes a weapon out of her bag and asks Pearl to undress. Both end up sleeping together. Eden uses the absence of Cain to go out of the cabin and to search his chest for secrets.  She finds a dress there. On his return, she questions Cain on this subject but he enters into a rage, accusing her for having betrayed him. He turns the cabin up-side-down and even breaks the wooden crutches which he had made for her, before leaving by locking Eden up inside the cabin. Mason joins Victoria at her mothers and asks her to come back to Santa Barbara with Chip. Still suspicious regarding Julia, Victoria asks Mason if he is the father of her baby. Surprised, Mason answers that he is not. Victoria then goes to Pearl and pretends to know the truth. Pearl is surprised at it, what confirms Victoria's suspicion. She goes to Julia, who proves to be unable to deny her. Back in the flat, Tori confronts Mason with the truth and he answers with admissions...

Episode 727

Gina decides to help Keith to lay his hand on the vaccine. She passes for Sally, a nurse of Caroline, and searches the Lockridge residence. When Cruz and Eleanor come to question Caroline and Lionel, he ends up confessing to be responsible for the theft in Alex's laboratory. But he does not manage to find the vial: it is indeed Gina who took it over. Cruz questions Gina who plays outraged to be defendant of theft, while Eleanor questions Keith. Jeffrey and Kelly move into their new home. Mason passes to visit them and agrees to help Jeffrey to re-open his trial again to prove his innocence in the death of his wife. At Mason's office, Kelly sees Elizabeth's photo and comes back home unsettled: they look a lot like each other. But Jeffrey swears that it is nothing. Mason records the new call for Kelly that he has just accepted. He also shows her the recent so-called photo of Eden which was sent him. But Kelly thinks that it is a forged photo...

Episode 728

At the request of Cruz, Carmen, helped by Eleanor, makes a household in the beach home. But in his return, when Cruz discovers that Carmen took the initiative in throwing one of his old lamps out, he is taken to Eleanor and asks her to leave his home. Julia visits Victoria and explains the history to her of the contract between her and Mason. Cruz meets Mason, who is well careful not to speak to him about phone calls which he accepts. He asks a detective to value the photo which he accepted. Eleanor makes a payment to an Indian responsible for calls to Mason. She asks him if everything is ready in the desert. Brick reserves a hotel room to have an instant of intimacy with Jane. But Jane does not feel ready. She joins him later on the beach and both make love for the first time.  Cain apologises to Eden for having lost his temper. He repaired the crutches and helps her to stand. In the evening, he tells her the story of his meeting with Soo Li, a Vietnamese young person met during the war, and the harrowing separation which followed. He allows Eden to wear the dress hidden in his chest and dance with her. Eleanor comes to Cruz's office and gives him his lamp, a memory of Eden, which she managed to find...

Episode 729

Jeffrey offers Kelly to go to Nevada to get married. But Kelly prefers waiting. She gets from him the key opening the chest of drawers where he kept the file of his trial. Keith accepts the visit from Marsha Connors, the president of Toddlers, an association helping in children's adoption. She asks him to help her establish herself in Santa Barbara, for a financial counterpart. What motivates the district attorney right away. Eleanor and Pearl go to search Keith's office in search of the vaccine. They make Gina and Keith believe, who surprise them, that they found it to measure their reaction. Alex receives an anonymous letter asking him to stop researching where his mysterious secret will be revealed. He asks Cruz to stop his inquiry, by explaining to him that the vaccine was not stolen, but was destroyed in fact by an accident. Cain shows Eden a swimming pool filled with spring water which he dug without her knowing it outside the cabin. Cain joins Eden there to help her to exercise and get her legs moving...
