Episode 60

Whilst talking with Lionel, Eden discovers that he knew her mother, Sophia very well. Marisa and John thank Brick for having brought Amy back home. Ted questions Laken about the relations Warren and Channing Jr maintained the one with the other before the death of Channing Jr. And yet she knows about nothing. Being curious, Laken reveals to her brother Kelly's new address with Sally Taylor. Mason accepts a call from his mother. Through this service, he learns that the phone call was made in Santa Barbara. At the same time, he sends for Veronica in the Capwell residence and asks her to investigate the withdrawal of money carried out by Peter from the account of the Capwell firm. He suspects that something is planned with Kelly's dressmaker that he once met in Peter's office and he considers Veronica as suspicious. Peter, just, spies on Kelly afterwards at the presidential suite, behind the two-way mirror. He falls asleep finally, then asks that the key is brought to him. He enters the room and heads for the room where Kelly and Joe sleep, revolver in his hand...

Episode 61

Peter arrives in the room where Kelly sleeps, Joe has already left. Kelly, who cannot support Peter's accusations anymore, announces to him she is breaking their engagement. Back with Sally, Kelly asks if she could keep her flat for her only. Sally accepts. Coming back from her job at The Mesa, Sally is surprised to discover Joe getting out of the shower and then he faints. Kelly accepts a call from Dominic which fixes an appointment. Kelly decides after talking to Dominic to tell the police her version of facts of the evening of the death of Channing Jr, to honour the memory of Joe. At the Lockridge residence, Amy thanks Brig for having taken time out from his affairs the other evening. When Peter goes back to his office, Veronica informs him that Mason got compromising information concerning the dressmaker of Kelly. Peter calls Ginger and arranges to meet her to give him the rest of the money which she owes him. He prepares his briefcase and slips his revolver in there...

From this episode, Charles Bateman replaces Paul Burke in the role of C.C. Capwell.

Episode 62

When Kelly confronts Dominic about being a woman, Dominic is shocked and runs away. At Sally's place, Joe accepts Cruz's visit and informs him about his ordeal in the sea with the couple of Russian spies. He is surprised to see his off-loading father has decided to take back their relationship to zero. Warren asks Kelly to return the gold coin to him, pretending to be the true owner. Amy goes to the job interview which Brick organised with Minx. But it seems that her trying does not carry its fruits. Mason questions his father about Gina, but does not succeed in finding out where she is. By telephone, he ends up learning that she is in Nice with her son. Happy to be able to give this information to Santana, he gives her this news. Santana reserves the first flight for France. Peter goes to his appointment with Ginger and gives her the money. He gets ready to take out his revolver, but is surprised by her two hit-men hidden behind him. He tells them that Mason knows everything about this. Threatened by Mason, Peter later asks Ginger to return the money to him because without it he will not be able to continue paying her. Ginger searches for another solution to obtain this money and thinks immediately of Kelly...

Episode 63

Laken, Jade, Danny and Ted officially open their hotel, Frisky Business. They already receive a large number of reservations for sexual activities from unfaithful couples. Kelly announces to her father that she broke off the engagement with Peter. Summer brings Warren back in the room that Kelly had found. And yet Warren discovers by looking at her closely that it is not the room. He tries to find out from Summer why Kelly would have exchanged her. Lionel sends presents to Eden and arranges to meet her in the gazebo. Eden goes there and allows Lionel to charm her, who also brings her a book of poems. Peter, obeying Ginger's orders, asks Kelly to join him in his house. But his conscience makes him finally retract, and then he cancels the appointment. But he is already too late, Kelly is indeed busy with her dressmaker who is other than Ginger...

It will be necessary to wait for episode 89 before seeing Veronica Gayley again.

Episode 64

Both hit-men hired by Ginger come into sight in the living room, pretend to be taken to Ginger, then attack in Kelly by gagging her and putting her to sleep with an injection. Peter, who tried to leave the city, is surprised in his car by one of the men with Ginger who drives her to him. Ginger asks him to play the game with Kelly not surviving. Cruz, acting on the suspicion of Joe, sees Warren in the State Street bar. Warren is sitting down at the table with Summer, finally promises to give him all his confidence. At their hotel, Danny discovers contraceptive pills in Laken's bag. But Laken assures him that she has not had sexual relations with Ted yet. Danny deeply encourages her to cross that step. Santana has arrived at Nice. She gets a hotel room on the same floor as that of Gina and Brandon. She finally has the chance to discover them in the corridor. Getting worried not to see her coming back, Joe learns from Sally that Kelly had appointment with her dressmaker. Unable to leave to conduct his research without risking being discovered, Joe asks Sally to phone Mason to put him on the track. Mason understands that Kelly is in bad hands, when he accepts Ginger's phone call. Ginger asks him for a million dollars to see Kelly living again...

Episode 65

Augusta goes to see Sally in search of Kelly and discovers evidence allowing her to think that a man lives in the flat. Back at home, Augusta discovers Brick engaged in full accounting jobs, financed by Minx. She continues wondering what could push her stepmother to hire Brick. In Nice, Santana ends up showing herself to Gina. She offers to replace the baby-sitter of Brandon during her appointment with a French man. Ginger gets her hit-men to record a message of Kelly intended for her father. She then phones C.C. and makes him listen to the message. She asks that Peter in person brings the ransom. Joe has received the confirmation, through Sally, that Kelly was kidnapped. He asks Cruz to fix an appointment with Dominic on his boat. There, he shows himself to Dominic and asks him to help find Kelly. But Dominic is under stress after learning about the kidnapping of Kelly and bursts into tears. Ted, who got ready for a romantic evening with Laken, comes back urgently to the Capwell residence where everybody is on the war footing. For her part, Ginger promises to her two men that neither Kelly, nor Peter will survive this affair...

It will be necessary to wait for episode 133 before seeing Sally Taylor again.

Episode 66

Dominic remembers that Kelly had previously been to an address in Hollister. Joe decides to go there, dressed up as old man Dominic. Admitting behind the door the voice of one of Ginger's hit-men, he asks Dominic to call the Capwells to inform them about address where refugee Ginger is. Joe then goes to his parents and asks Amy to play the temporary secretary the post of secretary of Peter Flint, during Veronica's holiday, under the name of Amy Prescott. He wants her to spy. Amy announces news that Minx gave Brick a second interview and he loses his temper. He later joins Amy at the office and apologises. Jade and Danny are surprised at their hotel by the typewriter which starts to type all alone a message of caution! In Nice, Gina comes back from her appointment and finds Santana playing with Brandon. She asks Santana to remain there and have dinner with her and both discuss their life. In spite of the fears of C.C. who has already prepared a ransom, Mason calls two policemen to wedge Ginger and her stash. From their departure, Peter phones Ginger to inform her of their arrival. So, when the police disembark, Ginger has already taken the initiative and plays dumb. Some streets away, both men with Ginger wait for a phone call in their car, ready to kill Kelly and to leave the country if they do not have news...

From this episode, Judith McConnell replaces Rosemary Forsyth in Dominic's role.

Episode 67

Not having sufficient proof to stop Ginger, Mason is forced to leave his home. With the departure of the policemen, Ginger calls her men whom she ends up joining, just before they get rid of Kelly. She then calls the Capwell residence and fixes a new appointment to secure the ransom. She demands again that it is Peter who brings the money. Dominic and Joe try to find out more about the kidnapping. But their discussion is interrupted by a call from Mason who asks Peter to drive the money to the abductors. Mason informs the police of the meeting place and asks that they use a helicopter. In The Mesa, Warren confides in Summer about his suspicion regarding his father, but without revealing the affair. Because of the storm which hits Santa Barbara, they meet shortly later as they are victims of a breakdown of the lift at the Capwell hotel. For their part, Jade and Danny are once again confronted with the faults of their typewriter. Jade goes to the library and, armed with many works on black magic, organises with Danny a séance which succeeds to make the table move! Suddenly, on the music of the film Ghostbusters, a strange light appears in front of the bar of their hotel. While Peter gets ready to pay the million dollars of ransom to Ginger, the police helicopter makes itself heard. Ginger is frightened. Peter encourages her to leave, having interest that Ginger is not stopped. Ginger ends up running away, leaving the money behind her...

Episode 68

Joe and Dominic, with binoculars, watch from a distance the continuation of hostage's catch. C.C. and Mason fear for the life of Kelly, when Peter ends up coming out again from the building with Kelly in the arms. Kelly is immediately driven to the hospital. In full storm, Jade and Danny still suffer the appearance of paranormal phenomena in their hotel. Terrified, they leave the place by howling. But from their departure, everything calms down and two rather old men appear. They prove to be responsible for frightening Jade and Danny, trying to make them leave the place to search the hotel with ease, where a mysterious booty was hidden. Prisoner of the lift, Warren entrusts Summer deeming her responsible for the acts that can cost him a prison term. Summer assures not to get worried about it and to be ready to help him. Once the lift released, Summer and Warren finally kiss each other. In the hospital, Peter is interviewed as a hero by a journalist. Meanwhile, Joe, still made up as old man, tries to see Kelly. In his chase in the foyer, he hits a patient and makes his wig slip off. Peter, who from a distance attends the stage, discovers that the old man is other than Joe, very living...

From this episode, Mark Arnold replaces Dane Witherspoon in the role of Joe Perkins.

Episode 69

Peter gets ready to follow Joe in the corridors of the hospital, but is stopped by Cruz, then Eden, who have come to congratulate him on his bravery. Joe succeeds in getting to Kelly's room. At her exit of the hospital, Joe is going directly to join her in her flat, under the supervision of Peter, some metres away. Joe tells Kelly all that he knows about relations between Peter and Ginger Jones. It seems obvious to him that Peter is actively involved in the abduction. Mason calls Santana in Nice to share his news. Guessing that something is not quite right, he reserves a return ticket for France to join her. After the whole night spent outside having a good time and discussion, Warren finally takes Summer back home. In the car, Eden and Cruz recollect their first meeting some months earlier in France: Cruz was then a stable boy and seemed ready to attract Eden. While Peter is in full discussion with Ginger, Kelly accidentally disembarks to the office. She announces that everything is outright finished between them. Once Kelly reports this, Ginger goes back with Peter. Ginger asks him what he risks to kill a man who has supposed to have already died...
