Episode 500

C.C. receives the request from his lawyer, on behalf of Theda Bassett for 27 million dollar for compensation of Mary's death. Julia receives judicial threats to have favoured the tragic debate between Mary and Mark, while Mark is informed that a court order removes his medicine license. Julia goes to find Mason to explain to him the real reasons for which she accepted Mark as a client, but Mason doesn't listen to her. He asks Gina to render him a service: for two letters to be given to Mark and to Julia. Pearl gets Kelly, Alice, Owen and another patient of the asylum outside by through the air-conditioning duct. He drives them to Buzz's to cook them a meal. Alone at Keith's, Eden hides when a man in white crocodile skinned boots enters and leaves a note for an appointment with Keith.  Santana also goes to Keith's and finds Eden hidden in his cupboard. Eden tells her that she knows that she has a relationship with Keith, but that she won't betray her out of respect for Cruz. She goes to the garage where the man in boots arranged to meet Keith. She phones Cruz and leaves him a message. Keith and the man exchange some money. Eden hides in the back of a van, but the man starts it. Julia receives a letter of appointment with Mason for the following day at the court from Gina. Mark goes to the Orient Express where he had arranged to meet Mason. Mason, armed, makes him go up on the roof. He makes him write admissions concerning Mary's rape. Suddenly, he takes aim at Mark...

Episode 501

Pearl drives everyone to a cinema warehouse with huge objects. Courtney joins them there and persuades Pearl to leave with her to spend a few days in Boston. Kelly, who is upset, escapes and takes refuge in the Capwell villa. Dr Rawlings and Paul Whitney find their escape route and then go to search for Kelly. Persuaded that he is acting for the best, C.C. gets her to rejoin the asylum. Cruz finds Eden's message. He goes to the garage, but doesn't see her. Eden is discovered in the van by Mexican underground immigrants who come aboard along the way. Cruz goes to see Keith and asks him to explain why phone calls were made from the garage to his flat again and again. Stunned Keith replies that he is investigating. By entering Keith's place, Cruz discovers Santana. On the roof of the Capwell Hotel, Mason hits Mark with his revolver and he falls to his knees. He holds the revolver towards Mark. He then finds Julia in the court, who he accuses of being a party to Mary's death. He threatens her with his weapon, then goes to see C.C.. C.C. manages to reason with him, by making him understand that Mary's death is only a tragic accident. Julia joins C.C. and they don't manage to find any sign of Mark. Julia suggests calling the police...

Episode 502

Augusta announces to Lionel that she is leaving for five weeks on a cruise with her parents. Lionel sends a telegram to the Wainwrights to cancel Augusta's visit, while she phones her mother crying. Eden is picked up by the police. At the police station in Santa Barbara, she accuses Keith of being connected with the man in the white boots. Keith pays a man so that he passes for Juan, a seeped through so-called policeman, wearing white boots. He criticises Eden for having leaked information for an operation. Santana and Keith give different explanations to Cruz to explain their presence together at his flat. Santana joins Keith with the idea of ending their affair, but Keith manages to dissuade her from it. Julia finds Mason in the church. He tells her that he got rid of Mark. Cruz and C.C. accompany Mason on the roof of the Capwell Hotel where he would have left the body. He hands them the letter of Mark's admissions. Mason raises a sheet, but it is a pasteboard figurine underneath it. Finally, he opens a cupboard and Mark is, gagged in there. Mark is taken by the police...

Episode 503

Courtney arrives to search for Pearl to leave for Boston. But Pearl changed his mind. Having made love with Courtney, he phones Dr Rawlings to be committed again. C.C. gives Mason a cheque to for the attention of Theda and Christie. He offers him to return to the Capwell villa to live. Julia asks Mason to leave the charges for criminal negligence towards him/her. Augusta intervenes to persuade Mason that Julia defended Mark only to trap him. In the church where he remembers Mary's ceremony, Mason falls asleep in front of the altar. A woman dressed in white draws near his body towards the exit. Hayley and Ted argue after a misunderstanding in the course of which Ted announces to his father that he could very well marry Hayley. Gina hears that C.C. wants to engage a detective to investigate Hayley. She immediately encourages Hayley to marry Ted as quickly as possible. She finds C.C. and tells him that Hayley is her niece...

Episode 504

Nick visits Kelly in the asylum, but he realises that she feels no more love for him. Pearl is locked up in a cell of isolation. Dr Rawlings hypnotises Kelly and asks her questions about Leonard Kopnick, Pearl's alias. He then asks Owen to play a spy for him regarding Kopnick. Kelly and Alice find Pearl's new room. Jane moves into Hayley's place. Gina gives Keith the key to the presidential suite of the Capwell Hotel so that he can spend some time with Santana. Keith wonders about the fact that Santana takes so many anti-allergic pills. Gina goes into the linen room joining the presidential suite and films everything behind the one-way mirror. C.C. goes to the flat to talk to Ted about the facts he just discovered concerning Hayley. But he only finds Jane, to whom he tells that Hayley is Gina's niece. Jane hastens to repeat this information to Ted. While he accuses his father of having invented a lie, Ted gets Gina's admissions. He goes back home that evening, and asks Hayley if she has any secrets to be revealed now that they are engaged. Hayley pretends not to understand, until Ted tells her that he knows that she is Gina's niece. He leaves her alone...

Episode 505

Santana wakes up in the early hours with Keith in the presidential suite. She goes back to Cruz, who was worried about where she had disappeared all night. Santana records a message on the answering machine to cover herself. Gina informs Keith that she has evidence of his night spent with Santana. Cruz announces to Keith the video surveillance which he had set up for Gina in the presidential suite, and that undoubtedly recorded the instant of Dylan's death. Keith learns of the existence of the two-way mirror. Gina offers Eden to show her the video which she recorded overnight. But she discovers that her tape was exchanged. Eden threatens Santana to tell Cruz everything about her disloyalty if she doesn't leave the marital home the next day. Keith shows Santana the tape which he hid from Gina. Santana accuses him of having used her. Under duress, Owen confesses to Dr Rawlings that Leonard Kopnick comes from Boston, and that he has a brother named Brian. Paul Whitney is interested in Alice whom he met in the asylum. He gives her a book of poems that she reads. Pearl makes Kelly responsible for watching the office of Dr Rawlings while he goes back to search his archives. But Rawlings surprises him and stuns him. He makes believe that Pearl attacked him...

Episode 506

Hayley tries to explain the lie with Ted, but Ted isn't ready to excuse her. On the radio, he receives a call from Roxanne who arranges to meet him in the Orient Express. C.C. gives Sophia a splendid engagement ring. Gina goes to Santana and Cruz's place, and exchanges her bottle of anti-allergic pills with some drugs again. She organizes with Keith a put-up job so that Eden surprises him with Santana later in the evening. Cruz has dinner with Brandon in the Orient Express. Gina joins them. Brandon phones Santana, but he explains to Cruz that she isn't at home. Santana is behind the steering wheel of her car with Keith. Keith tells her that he likes her and that he wants to marry her. In the middle of the night, in the fog and under the influence of the drugs, Santana tears along towards Eden...

Episode 507

Hayley finds herself locked up in the studio of KUSB FM. Gina joins her and tries her to be excused for having put her in a bad position in relation to Ted. The appointment with Roxanne in the Orient Express was a joke. She gives Ted a new appointment at the beach bar. Ted goes there. Roxanne comes into sight behind him, blindfolds his eyes, and promises him a long night of love. Dr Rawlings tries to persuade Pearl that he is responsible for the suicide of his brother to have made the baby-friend abort. Pearl rebels against the doctor and tries to choke him. Paul once again goes to visit Alice. Santana and Keith hit Eden on the road of Inspiration. Keith gets out of the car and says that he sees nothing. He takes back the steering wheel and leaves with Santana. Santana confesses to Cruz that she was with Keith, but that she pushed back his repeated advances. A passer-by who is walking his dog finds Eden inanimate. Help arrives and she is driven to the hospital. Santana discovers that Keith saw that they had hit Eden. Eden wakes up and discovers Cruz at her bedside. Santana and Keith join them, when Eden says that she saw the car which tore along towards her...

Episode 508

In the beach bar, Roxanne devotes herself to a torrid exercise of seduction on Ted. But Brick comes into sight to inform Ted that Eden is in the hospital. When Ted takes his blindfold away, Roxanne has disappeared. Hayley hopes that the interim situation of KUSB FM will be able to continue, but Jane breaks her dream. Eden remembers only a vague model of the car. Santana and Keith breathe a sigh of relief. Gina suspects them of being involved with the accident, but Keith envisaged an alibi. Gina discovers that Sophia and C.C. are engaged. She hangs around in her hotel room, when the telephone rings: a consumer of her cookies complains about poisoning ! Cruz thinks that Eden's accident is perhaps a consequence of her misfortunes with the band of El Blanco. To protect her, he makes her leave for the Caribbean to lead his investigation...

Episode 509

Julia is stopped for driving under the influence of alcohol. Keith jumps on this occasion to accuse her of having hit Eden. But an examination of the state of her car reveals that she is innocent. Santana realises that one of the headlights of her car was broken during the accident. Thrown into a panic, she resigns herself to phone Cruz to confess to him the truth. But when Cruz joins her in their garage, Santana notes that the headlight was changed, probably by Keith. So, she says nothing to Cruz. She receives on behalf of a policeman the report of Eden's accident: broken pieces of the headlight were found at the accident scene. Santana hides the report so that Cruz doesn't read it. Mark announces to Julia that he is leaving the city. In the asylum, Pearl meets a patient who knew his brother, Brian. Kelly, helped by another patient, grabs one of the nurses. Dr Rawlings places Pearl on a table to inflict him with electroshock therapy...
