Episode 470

Lionel recovers his agenda at Pearl's place. He also discovers Pearl's true identity. He is going to find Julia to explain to her that he has never had a relationship with Madeline, and that he saw her only for business which he mainly dealt with her father, Grant Capwell. Justin passes by as a patient of Dr Rawlings' psychiatric asylum and is locked up in a room. He tries in vain to join Kelly who was locked up in another room with three other patients. C.C. surprises Sophia and Lionel sitting down at a table in the Orient Express. He proves once again to be unpleasant, by criticising her for not having gone to see Kelly in the asylum. Lionel then joins him at home and asks him to change his behaviour in relation to Sophia. In spite of the promise that he made to Sophia, he tells him that she was operated on to treat cancer. Sophia recommends to Mary to reassure Mason about her feelings for him. Mary goes to the court and tells Mason that she loves him...

Lionel tells us that Pearl's father, Wayne Bradford a.k.a. "Winnie", is an ambassador, and that his grandfather, Wayne Senior, was a governor.

Episode 471

C.C. hastens to repeat to Eden what Lionel told him concerning Sophia. Eden invites her mother to the Orient Express. She arranges to leave her alone with C.C., who proves to be intent on Sophia, very astonished. Ted applies for a job of a disc jockey in the radio station KUSB FM. He meets his main rival, who already works for this radio. But it is Ted who is finally engaged. Hayley congratulates him, and tells him that she resigned from the servant's post. Santana offers Cruz to release him if he wants to go with Eden. To make him jealous, she gets closer to Keith, the new prosecutor. Cruz goes to the Capwells to find Eden, but he changes his mind. Mary devotes herself to Sophia and entrusts her that Mark raped her. She asks Mark to leave the Capwell guest house, and announces that she is going to ask for a divorce. In the Orient Express, Mason proposes to Mary. She accepts, in front of the applauses of other customers...

Episode 472

Shocked having learnt what Gina did to C.C., Hayley refuses to see her aunt again. Ted has his first day on the radio. In spite of the opposition of Jane Wilson who doesn't cease in criticising him, he manages to hire Hayley as the secretary. David's trial begins. Mason, then Julia both open with very persuasive introductions. Cruz is called to the bar. He tells the facts that led him to suspect David and arrest him for murder. Julia shows that the version of David's facts suffers from no disconnectedness. Courtney receives an anonymous phone call which leads her to drive to the room 314 of the Clermont Arms Hotel where Sheila Carlyle is. She talks with her, then finds a love letter which Sheila wrote for David. But it seems that Sheila had left it in a very obvious place. Courtney announces this to Mason. Dr Rawlings realises that Kelly isn't taking her medication. He injects them into her. Gina visits Kelly. She explains to her that she lost Dylan's gun in her car accident on the cliff. Justin then joins Kelly and searches for a plan to get out of the asylum. But Dr Rawlings sees them...

Episode 473

As she doesn't have a home to reside in anymore now that she has resigned, Hayley is invited by Ted to spend the night in his room. They share the same bed without feeling each other. Sophia tells Eden about a romantic memory including C.C. who had filled the villa with daisies in her honour. She reconstructs this memory and offers to her father an occasion to fill her mother's heart. Santana and Keith find themselves accidentally locked up in a courtroom. Keith confesses to Santana that he has feelings for her since high school. Mason and Cruz search Sheila's hotel room. Cruz finds the love letter for David which Sheila hid in an obvious way. Cruz is besides surprised to have succeeded in thinking this so quickly. Mason delivers a subpoena to Sheila to appear and testify in the trial. Fearing Mason's rebuttal, Julia refuses for David to take the stand in spite of his determination. Mason takes up a ploy to have the confirmation that Julia and David are lovers. In the Orient Express, Santana and Cruz argue once again about Eden...

Episode 474

Dr Rawlings surprises Justin phoning the Capwells. He evicts him from the asylum. Whilst driving Sophia and C.C. there, Pearl realises that he knows Dr Rawlings. He offers to Justin to help Kelly by infiltrating as patients of the asylum. Mason speaks with Mary about the idea of having a child. But Mary prefers waiting for her divorce. Julia informs Augusta that she intends to highlight during trial that Lionel could have had an affair with Madeline to implicate another potential suspect. Lionel has an explanation with Augusta; he explains to her that he saw Madeline to help her father to take over the power of all the Capwell Firms. David's trial goes on. Mason questions Marty Whitmore, the private detective paid by Madeline. Julia highlights his lack of professionalism. Then it is Courtney's turn, who says she had seen David and Sheila together during a skiing holiday in Aspen. Julia shows that she has no proof of David's disloyalty. But when it is Sheila's turn, Mason makes her read the love letter found at her home. Sheila reads it aloud and collapses in tears. David shouts it is a lie. Mason entrusts discreetly to Julia that he knows that she is sleeping with her client. While the session is suspended, Julia, at the end of her nerves, announces to David that she resigns...

It is another actor who plays the private inspector Marty Whitmore in this episode.

Episode 475

Keith offers to Cruz to help him to create links with the minority's cities. But Cruz rejects his offer, doubting his sincerity. Santana then offers her services to Keith. Pearl insists to Justin to pass for a patient of Dr Rawlings. He tells him that he has a score to settle. Julia speaks to Augusta about her intention of resigning as David's lawyer. Lionel invites Augusta to spend a romantic evening in the deserted Lockridge villa. The trial resumes. Facing Julia's absence, David thinks he has to defend himself. But Julia arrives and starts Sheila's cross-examination. She tries to show that she and David have never been lovers, and implies that she could herself be Madeline's murder. Mason intervenes and makes her repeat that she could very well have had a relationship with David. The evening arrives, Julia goes back alone to her room in the Capwell Hotel. David joins her there and, in spite of Julia's hesitancy, he kisses her...

Episode 476

In the early hours, Lionel wakes up alone on the floor of the living room in the Lockridge villa. He is surprised by C.C., who has arrived accompanied with a policeman to arrest him for his presence in his property. Brick stands up for Lionel in front of C.C.. On the radio, Ted receives a direct call from a woman with purple nails and a sweet voice the face of which isn't seen. Gina stops C.C. from giving Santana documents making the guardianship rights to Brandon official. She wants to offer to look at the video tape which she brought with her with the intention of recovering Brandon. But C.C. gets rid of Gina and gives the official documents of adoption to Santana. Eden goes to the asylum to see Kelly, but Dr Rawlings prevents her from it. She asks Keith to help her get access rights. It is finally Cruz who gets her an injunction from a judge authorising her to see Kelly. Eden and Cruz find Kelly tired and almost unable to recognise her sister. They both are confused. Gina enters Santana and Cruz's beach home by breaking-in. She searches for the recipe of Rosa's cookies which she tasted unintentionally earlier during the day. She sees Santana and Keith who have come back from the beach kissing each other...

Episode 477

Gina goes back to the Lockridge residence and makes her first batch of cookies with Rosa's recipe. She has the idea of commercialising them under the name of Mrs. Capwell's Cookies, and begins by distributing them in the corridors of the courthouse. At Lionel's request, Brick meets Grant Capwell, C.C.'s brother. He tells him how C.C. managed to belittle him with the eyes of their father when 1 million dollars disappeared thirty years ago, and when C.C. accused him of having stolen it. He found himself entirely disinherited to C.C.'s advantage. At the trial, Julia questions Pearl who speaks about Madeline's agenda and about the famous "L.L".  Lionel is called to the bar. To everyone's surprise, he says he was in business with Madeline, but he denies having had an affair with her. Julia thinks about creating doubt in the spirit of the jurors when she asks him for an alibi after he left Madeline the day of her death. But Augusta intervenes and assures that Lionel was with her. Dr Rawlings discovers that Cruz's judicial injunction is a forgery. Contacted by Rawlings, Keith makes threats against Eden and Cruz. Pearl leads Eden to follow him into the asylum. They enter the room of archives, but Rawlings almost finds them. They manage to escape...

Episode 478

Mary takes a pregnancy test and discovers that she is pregnant. Mark announces to her that he is leaving the country to go back to the Caribbean. Mary entrusts C.C. that Mason and she are going to get married after her divorce. Rosa discovers cookies in Brandon's pocket and recognises her recipe. Gina, who needs money to commercialise her cookies, asks Hayley to lend her 3000 dollars which remains from the inheritance of her father Stan. Sophia and C.C. visit Kelly in the asylum. But Dr Rawlings had filled her with medication, and Kelly can't even have a discussion with them. Julia and David come to an agreement that he will testify in his trial, while having the time to pronounce this spontaneous decision in the course of the audience. David talks about the panic which led him to leave Madeline's inanimate body at the motel, while she wasn't dead. When Mason speaks to question him, he accuses him of unintentional manslaughter to have let Madeline die after his departure...

Episode 479

Danny is arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. As he takes things in an offhand manner, Cruz decides to leave him in prison. Shocked, Santana gets Keith to release her brother. Nick visits Kelly in the asylum. She seems to recognise him, but pictures of Dylan's death make her nervous. In a panic, she asks Nick to leave. Santana threatens Gina to tell Brandon the whole truth about her and her different delinquency. Gina discovers that Santana takes pills for allergies. She phones Angel and asks him if he can find a champion horse. In the court, the tone goes up between Mason and David. David, at the end of his nerves, sends his fist to Mason's face in front of the bench of the witnesses. Nick brings Julia documents that he found during his search at Sheila Carlyle's place. Julia calls Sheila once again to the bar. She makes her confess that she was making light of David in business and wanted to ruin him. Sheila admits having lied during her first cross-examination and to have never had an affair with David. Mason looks anything but pleased. Sheila joins David at his hotel. Having a good time having deceived everybody, they kiss each other. Mary finds Mason that evening at the court and announces that she is pregnant...

First reappearance of Danny Andrade since episode 410. It will be necessary to wait for episode 594 before seeing him again.
