Episode 400

Kelly gets removed from the management of the casino by her father. In the explosion at the cabin, Kirk gets up to his car and stops at the first phone box to call for the ambulance. He fears that Eden is dead. Mary is the first one to wake up. She finds Eden unconscious wedged under the debris of the cabin. She awakens Cruz and finds Mark outside, losing a lot of blood. Cruz protects Eden from the collapse of the ceiling. Two ambulances arrive and drive them to the hospital in Santa Barbara. Mark wakes up and asks Mary to carry her engagement ring. Cruz shows Eden that he recovered her letters which she had taken with her to the cabin. Eden asks him to burn them. Kirk goes back to the Capwell residence. C.C. asks him to take care of the casino instead of Kelly, when he is informed of the explosion by telephone. At the casino, Brick criticises the Capwells for wanting to revive Channing Junior over him. He calls a helicopter to take Sophia and Ted to the hospital. Mason finds Mary and discovers that she accepted Mark's proposal. Kirk sees the letters written by Eden in Cruz's jacket. He runs up to Eden's bedside and asks her to admit that she is only in love with Cruz still...

Episode 401

Eden swears to Kirk that she was never unfaithful to him. Kirk demands that she does not see Cruz anymore, but Eden tells him that it is impossible. Eden announces to Cruz that she has decided to make a baby with Kirk. Mason gives his blood for Mark. Janice is sorry to learn that Mary got engaged to Mark. She explains to Mason that she was once married to him, her behaviour changed and that she fears that the same thing with Mary. Eden and Mary meet in the hospital chapel. Eden is surprised that Mary decided to get engaged, while she was still uncertain in the cabin. Cruz offers to drive Eden home, rather than taking a taxi. Eden ends up accepting, but asks Cruz not to go into the residence. Kirk, who has become half mad, waits for her with a paper knife. He has a good time frightening her in the darkness of the atrium...

Episode 402

Nick decides himself to publish his book of photos. He needs 3000 dollars for it which he asks Cruz for. Kelly goes to see Dylan at the hotel and asks him to lend this money to his brother. Dylan writes him a cheque, having a good time being in position of force for the time being. But Nick does not appreciate to have to use Dylan's money. Pearl invites Julia to go out with him, but she politely refuses. On Janice's advice, Mark confesses to Mary that he did make a medical error, and that he lied to the family of the victim and to the court. The doctor announces to Mary that if she wants to marry Mark, she must hurry up because he hasn't got long to live. Mason offers to organise everything for her marriage. Santana informs Cruz that they entered by breaking in at home. Kirk hears this and runs to Cruz's to finish the work to make them believe it was a break-in. He finds the number of a luggage office in his business. He runs around the city, to the point of finding the luggage office where Cruz hid Eden's pink dress and Kirk's shoe. Gina asks Kirk to help her get back Brandon. Kirk seems to have a plan in mind and asks Gina if she is really ready for everything...

Episode 403

Pearl gives a monography which he wrote to an editor. Julia joins him at home and discovers the part hidden in his flat. She apologises for not being able to have dinner with him, using a working appointment as an excuse. Pearl invites her to have dinner with him in the afternoon at Buzz's. They finish their meal at Cruz's, near the chimney, and embrace each other. Eden receives a call from her cousin Courtney who is coming to see her next week. Without C.C. knowing, Kirk drives Brandon to see Gina. He shows her the piece of the pink dress which he found in Cruz's bag. He makes her believe that it was in Eden's possession, and that she has guessed everything about the attempted murder. Gina fears retaliation on behalf of Eden. Mark asks Cruz to be his witness in his marriage with Mary. Mary does the same with Eden there. Eden lends her a dress for the ceremony and Mason brings the trimmings. Everybody meets in Mark's hospital room, still confined to bed, and a priest comes to join them in marriage. Kirk notices the stage behind the glass door of the room...

Episode 404

Some minutes after their union, Mark's heart stops in front of Mary. The doctors revive him and see him out to surgery. Mary thinks that Mark is going to die and leaves to collect her thoughts in the hospital chapel. But the doctor announces that, against all expectations, Mark survived and that he is going to live. Brandon, ill, has a feeling of faintness. Kirk arranges Eden to go to her dressmaker. He makes Gina believe that Eden is trying to get proof about the second pink dress which she ordered. Santana asks C.C. if his deal to get custody of Brandon will still hold if she marries somebody else other than Cruz. Upset, C.C. promises to keep the deal. Santana announces his decision to her mother: she answered an announcement for a paper marriage and to avoid Cruz to feel obliged to get married to her. But at Buzz's where she meets the man in question, the Mexican, she suddenly changes her mind. She sees Mason arriving and has another idea. Rosa tells Cruz about the deal which C.C. imposed on Santana and the choice which her daughter made. Cruz joins Eden at the airport before she flies off for Hawaii for business. He tells her that he will wait for her return and firmly kisses her...

Episode 405

At the casino, a man installs an apparatus to the rig. In the early hours, Santana goes to see Mason and asks him to marry her to be able to recover Brandon. Mason finds this idea absurd, but promises an answer before the evening. Augusta imposes Lionel to sign divorce papers. Lionel complies and Augusta organises for the move of all pictures of grand masters to the villa. Feeling remorseful she leaves the Matisse to Lionel. They claim this is a last goodbye and embrace each other, tearful. C.C. receives a call from Eden's doctor who tells him that she is pregnant. C.C. goes to see Cruz at the casino and announces the news, and asks him to say nothing to Eden and Kirk. Santana arrives and announces to C.C. that she is engaged. She introduces him to the happy elected representative: Mason. Mason pretends to meet his future father-in-law for the first time. C.C. goes to the casino on board of the maritime shuttle and is there alone with Sophia. While he also leaves the casino, Cruz stumbles on Kirk. He lowers his weapon and abandons the idea of answering his new frustrations...

Episode 406

The ferryboat which sees only Sophia and C.C. back to Santa Barbara breaks down in the full ocean. Aboard, C.C. tells Sophia that Eden is pregnant. Sophia fears that the baby could be Cruz's. Sophia tells him that she knows that it was Eden who disconnected his artificial respirator. Hayley hands Ted a letter which he received from Laken. At the casino, Mason makes the announcement of his marriage with Santana to all the clients. Back in the villa, he asks Ted to be his witness. Santana announces the news to Rosa and Danny, who are not included in her decision. Kirk phones Gina and tells her that the pink dress and the wig that he had used have disappeared. Gina goes to the Capwells and searches Eden and Kirk's room. Kirk pretends not to see Gina, hidden in the wardrobe. He recovers the wig in a secret chest in the library and the hiding place in the wall safe in Eden's room. Gina finds the wig and the hiding place in his bag. Santana and Mason announce their marriage to Brandon. Brandon repeats this news to his mother. Cruz makes a reservation for a flight to Hawaii...

Episode 407

Ted learns that Laken got engaged to a ski instructor in Lake Tahoe from the letter. He announces his distress to Hayley. Brick alerts Cruz about the fact that Sophia and C.C.'s boat disappeared in the sea, in full fog, for more than two hours. Cruz organises a search and Brick manages to locate them and to bring them back to Santa Barbara. At Buzz's where she has become a waitress, Janice is shocked that Mason offers to finish the party with her after he has just got engaged. She joins Mary in the hospital and tells her the news. She goes back to search for Mason at the closing of the bar, and the conduit in the Capwell villa, he is completely drunk. Gina thinks that with the marriage of Santana and Mason, she will well and truly lose her rights to Brandon. After talking with Mason then C.C., she begins doubting that Eden is behind C.C's plan, as Kirk makes her believe. Cruz arrives at Hawaii and waits for Eden in her hotel room. Kirk surprises Gina while she tries to phone Eden. He takes the phone and hears Cruz answer...

Episode 408

Nick's flat was visited, and everything has disappeared from his camera room. In Hawaii, Eden goes back to her hotel and finds Cruz. Cruz announces to her that he definitely abandons her, and that he respects her love for Kirk. He explains to her that he thinks that their relationship in many ways could never of worked. Eden is shocked by this affirmation, but Cruz leaves her alone and the room, full of emotion. The following day, Eden joins him at the airport before her departure, but Cruz refuses to speak with her. C.C. explains to Mary the true reason of Mason's marriage with Santana. He offers for her and Mark to become established in the guest house. Santana has a dream where Mason, disguised as a man in harlequin, derides her publicly the day of their marriage. Whilst talking over a drink at Buzz's, Mason realises that he should not get married if he does not feel love. He goes to see Santana, and finds Gina saying goodbye to Brandon. He asks C.C. to leave, but seeing Santana comforting Brandon, he goes back on his idea of cancelling the marriage. Gina promises to C.C. to take revenge...

Episode 409

It proves to be Dylan who controls the results at the casino. He waits for Warren to store a big amount of money to make him lose everything. C.C. offers Warren to cover the bet to allow him to continue playing. Augusta is contacted by a conservative of the museum in New York to buy back one of her pictures. In the early hours, Mary finds Mason asleep in the private hospital. He offers her to cancel her marriage and to get married to him in Santana's place. Mary is offended by this idea. Santana asks Cruz to help her to find Mason, because C.C. is going to leave Brandon with Mason at home. Mason ends up going back to Santana's place, and meeting the priest who will assist with their marriage. Gina shows Kirk Eden's will. She tells him that he will be rich if Eden dies, and explains to him that he will lose everything if they break-up in his lifetime. Kirk finds Gina at her hotel and has a good time threatening her by playing with the knot of the tie. He her that he has received the message and that he has decided to act on it and organise with her Eden's murder. Gina seems confused...
