Amy has organised a small gathering for Brick's return home. She begins preparations again for their wedding. Minx visits, Brick demands to know why she treats him in such a generous way. Minx ends up telling him that he is the one who saved her in the past from a fire in the circus within which he worked with his parents. But it seems that it is a lie. After going to the bank, Warren hands a notice to Brick as for the withdrawal of money that count Lockridge signed personally. Brick denies being the author. Nick comes back from his inquiry at Bakersfield. He compared the medical results of Brick and Glenn: he announces that it is impossible that Glenn is Brick's father. Nick asks Kelly if she would agree to lend her old flat to his brother. In the State Street bistro, Dylan believes he stops her bearing a grudge defending Kelly from Mason's attacks. He comes into sight in the bar and hits his face. Gina offers to organise a family dinner party with Sophia and the Capwell children. She has her medication delivered which is reserved for Eden. She serves a flute of champagne to Eden and pours the contents of a pill in there...

Mason goes to Mary's private hospital to get treatment for his black eye that he suffered after the blow carried out by Dylan. Dylan follows Kelly outside the State Street bistro and tries to entice her. When he sees both men who are on his chase arriving, he jumps on Kelly to kiss her and to avoid their view. Kelly defends herself from the advances by releasing some tear gas. Dylan becomes established in Kelly's old flat, where he is joined by Janice. Brick begins accepting that Glenn isn't his father. Nick accompanies him in the Lockridge residence, to search Minx's room for indications. Brick finds a piece of paper there with the telephone number of his father. Suddenly, a car arrives and both men escape by the window of the room. Ted comes back from Lake Tahoe where he didn't manage to find Laken. Gina succeeds in making Eden drink some champagne that has been doped. A last will signed by C.C. is left at the Capwell place. Eden reads the will of her father which says not to keep him living artificially. Mason admits to Mary that he doesn't want his father to die. The drug begins having effects on Eden, which surprises Sophia, and puts on a show in front of Kelly, Mason and Ted. Gina, delighted with her party, puts photos in chains. At the end of her nerves, and armed with a sword found in Amanda Lockridge, Eden ends up collapsing...
Dylan speaks to his brother about the pretty girl whose acquaintance he made the day before. He finds Kelly in the museum, and has a good time creating a wrong sculpture of modern art, by piling young ducks and a beaker. Kelly is persuaded that this work is real and can be worth 10 000 dollars. Joining Kelly at the museum Nick kisses her. Dylan suddenly understands that Kelly is the girl-friend of his brother. Eden wakes up in bed with Cruz. She forgot everything from the day before, and the beginning of the party in fading. Gina shows Mason the photos which she took of the party. Eden arrives and demands that Gina gives them to her. But Gina refuses, having other plans. Out of irritation, Eden almost faints, but Kirk arrives to help. Eden goes back to hunt for the photos and follows Gina in the atrium. Angel and his gang are taken with Danny to the private hospital. They threaten Mary and start causing destruction. Mary calls Mason and Cruz for assistance. Cruz asks Danny to phone Angel and to arrange to meet him at midday in the beach bar. He goes to his place of their appointment and reproaches them for their behaviour, the young louts. Angel suddenly enters, a flick knife in his hand...

Cruz encourages Angel's accomplices to take their destiny in their hands, when he realises that Angel is behind him. He manages to control him and throws his flick knife. Angel, beaten, doesn't even manage to persuade his gang to support him. The young Latinos go to Mary's private hospital and help her to repair it. Kelly, Nick, Janice and Dylan have lunch in the Orient Express. Janice can't help speaking to Kelly of the gold mine which Dylan discovered in Africa with his partner Sam. Dylan seems a bit distant with Janice. Continuing in the atrium of the Capwell residence, Eden and Gina make a pot of paint fall from the top of the scaffolding. A photo taken, just as Gina, is covered with white paint. Eden asks Mary for her opinion about the final wish of her father. It proves to be that it is in fact Gina who wrote the letter in which C.C. asked to be let to die. Kirk gets impatient to see Eden too occupied to talk business with him. Eden is haunted by machines keeping her father alive. After a new nightmare, she gets closer to the machines when Gina comes into sight. Gina encourages her to go to turn them off...
Augusta and Lionel get in earlier than envisaged from their holiday in Europe, having discovered whilst in Switzerland an account opened by Brick where he would have deposited some money stolen from the Lockridges. Julia comes to alert Amy and Brick of these discoveries. They go to the Lockridge residence for a confrontation. Amy and Brick accuse Augusta of having trapped Brick. Mason invites Mary to a picnic on horseback on the beach. Meanwhile, Danny warns Cruz on probable retaliation on behalf of Angel. Angel goes to the private hospital and sprays a wall. He surprises Mary and forces her to call Cruz to come for him on the spot. Mason precedes him, and Angel also takes him as a hostage. At his arrival, Cruz attracts a diversion to allow Mason to escape and to alert the police. Angel pulls towards Mason, but misses him. Sharpshooters arrive and encircle the private hospital. Angel promises to make a massacre, the same as when his brother Geraldo died, killed by the police. After discussion, Cruz manages to persuade him to drop his weapon and to save his life. But Angel catches his weapon at the time when the police force in the building...

Lionel threatens Brick with charges for justice, when Minx arrives. She asks to be left alone with Brick, who continues denying having transferred money from the Lockridges. He tells Minx that he knows that it is her who phoned Glenn to avoid him coming to Santa Barbara for the kidney donation which he needed. He asks her to admit that she knows that Glenn isn't his father, and advances the idea that he is the son of T. McDonald Lockridge, Minx's late husband. Minx denies this, but confesses to have a secret which she will keep to her grave. In the private hospital, Cruz persuades Angel to drop his weapon once again, before the policemen open fire. Angel complies, and Cruz asks to drive himself to the guardhouse. On the spot, his captain and the policemen present at the private hospital and accuse him of having endangered them by risking compromising their rescue mission. But the commissioner arrives and announces that he returns Cruz to the police, forgetting his will to send him to Miami. Eden, accompanied with Kirk, is delighted. She decides to organise a party in the Orient Express to celebrate his success. Gina gives Rosa and the servants leave for two weeks. She places an order for a blonde wig in anticipation of Eden's party...

Dylan explains to Nick that he intends to go back to Africa to find his friend Sam, who is in possession of the map leading to the gold mine. But Nick finds this unachievable and a dangerous idea. Dylan gets worked up to see that his brother doesn't support his plan. Both men from the State department arrive at Kelly's flat. Dylan just has the time to escape by the window before Janice opens the door to them. Eden tells Kirk that she intends to propose to Cruz during the party at the Orient Express. Cruz, he, prepares another surprise for Eden: a home which he bought on the beach, and which he renovates before giving it to her. Kelly and Nick come to lend their strong hands. Nick left, Dylan asks Kelly for her car keys to avoid both men who followed him up to the beach. Kelly refuses. When both men knock, Kelly opens the door to them. Dylan just has the time to hide in a cupboard behind the door. After lunch with Kirk in the Orient Express, Julia learns from Cruz that he is Jack Lee's son. Furious that he hid that from her, she goes back to the restaurant and pours her glass on his trousers. Kirk shows Eden that she makes the magazine cover Modern Businesswoman, and that a television interview waits for her in the afternoon. Gina speaks to C.C. of her plan to disconnect his machines by letting Eden think she did it. The machines suddenly accelerate with the beating of his heart. Gina discovers that C.C. hears all that is said to him. She opens a box with a blonde wig and gets it out, which looks similar to Eden's hair like the one on the cover of the magazine...
Both men enter the beach home and find Dylan hidden in the cupboard. It proves to be that they are searching for Dylan simply to offer him a mission of air transport in Ethiopia. Dylan declines their offer. Kelly proves to be surprised, to be persuaded that Dylan was followed by government officials. Dylan explains to her that he has more to fear about Carlo, the man who slaughtered the plane of his friend Sam in Africa. Dylan is called to recover a package and discovers that it is a coffin, which has Sam. The coffin is opened for identification and Sam opens eyes! Ted distributes invitations for the party organised by Eden. Mary is worried to see that she is on service on Wednesday. Mason asks Gina to bring forward her working day to release her. He sends for three girls, and gives Mary a fashion show so that she chooses the dress which she will wear that evening. Kirk learns from his father that Cruz is investigating him. Learning from Julia that Cruz bought a home for Eden on the beach, he goes there and gives himself a tour. Out of jealousy, he grabs a hammer and throws it across to the window. Cruz, who arrives at this moment, takes out his weapon. He enters the home and points at Kirk...

Eden learns that Cruz got a promotion. She prefers waiting for her party to announce it to her. Cruz asks Kirk what he is doing in his home and why he threw the hammer across the window. Kirk tells him that he was irritated having learnt that Cruz investigated his past. Cruz makes him understand that he must cease chasing Eden, because she belongs to him. He goes to the Capwell residence and asks Rosa if she has an idea of the place where Gina would have been able to hide documents signed by C.C. before his attack. Rosa tells him about suspicious jobs on one of the pillars in the atrium. Cruz questions Gina and recognises that she lies to him. Eden arrives and begins searching Gina's room. Fearing that she will find the dress and the wig that she hid in her cupboard, Gina pushes her out of her room with force. She hastens to hide the objects in Brandon's teddy bear. Eden tries again with a baseball bat. Cruz does everything to separate them. Dylan is happy to see his friend Sam alive, especially as he has the map leading to the gold mine with him. Dylan drives the coffin to Nick's place. But on board of a boat sailing towards Santa Barbara, their enemy, Carlo, sends a henchman to Nick. Dylan and Sam manage to intercept him and scare him off. To protect Kelly, Nick asks Dylan and Sam to leave her flat and to go back to Kelly. Dylan phones Kelly because she made a mistake with the key which she gave him. She joins him in her old building with the good key. Dylan asks her if she agrees to stay away from Nick...

Augusta asks Lionel if Brick isn't the son who the father could be. She organises a meeting between him and Katie Wallace in the Orient Express and realises that they don't seem to know each other. Janice offers Dylan to take photos of her naked to make money for him. Dylan and Sam hide the map of the gold mine in an umbrella. They decide to design a wrong map to deceive Carlo. While they leave Kelly's flat, they are split apart from each other by Carlo's men, who stun Sam with a punch to his full face. Amy and Brick decide to get married in the daytime - even in Las Vegas. They phone Nick and Kelly so that they can join them. Julia informs Augusta about it. Augusta calls the prosecutor to warn him that Brick is about to leave California in spite of charges against him. On the point to take their plane with Amy and Julia, Brick is stopped by the police...
