Episode 270

Kelly accuses Nick of having used the amnesia to abuse her and to have treated her with contempt of the love for Joe by forcing her into a mistaken marriage in the ghost town. Nick, confused, tells her that he loves her and recommends to her to forget Joe to rediscover her love finally. Gina is very thrilled to see Mason moving into the Capwell residence. She slips in with him under the shower, but Mason pushes her back, too nervous about the new day of the trial which awaits him. In the court, he questions Christie with virulence. He asks her for an explanation as for the fibres found on the clothes, as well as the pieces of skin under her nails not belonging to Ted. Christie, after hesitancy, says that she does not recognise the type of shirt which Mason introduces to her. She proclaims that it is Ted who raped her. Steve phones his friend Adrienne Saint Mark who gave him the shirt that he carried the evening of the rape, and an invitation to stay in Nice, in France, that evening to make him leave the city as quickly as possible. Cruz indeed managed to find the trace of the purchaser of the accused shirt. Santana sees Gina and Mason leaving again together after the trial. She offers C.C. to walk her back home to the Capwell residence, in the idea that he discovers by himself that something is hatched between them...

Episode 271

Having confided in Eden, Kelly goes to see Nick and announces her decision to cease seeing him. Nick pretends to accept her choice, but Kelly leaves again feeling uncertain. Warren confronts his father on what he learnt from Frank. Lionel asks him to distribute invitation cards for his party, while he is going to give one to Sophia in person. Suspicious facing his speech, Sophia forces Lionel to confess to her that he thinks he is about to die of an aneurism. She understands that he has badly interpreted the statements from his doctor and calls him. Lionel is relieved that all of this is only a misunderstanding. But he includes what Sophia hid from him: C.C. is the one who is condemned. Back at home; all invitations were handed out by Warren. Lionel informs Warren anyway, as well as Augusta, that everything was only a misunderstanding and that C.C. is dying. Augusta also makes him understand that she knows another big secret concerning them. Mason continues pushing back Gina's advances, who undresses in front of him in Kelly's room. C.C. ends up going up to the floor and Gina hears. Santana follows him, already regretting having led him to discover everything. C.C. searches for his key to open the locked door of Kelly's room. Gina panics and throws herself on Mason, making him unable to get her out of the bed where she ended up...

Episode 272

Julia borrows Augusta's sexy dress and finds Jack at his office. They finally make love. Julia is persuaded that Jack is in love with her. But she then surprises him saying to his new delightful secretary that she is only flirting with him. Eden and Cruz discuss marriage again, and Cruz makes his official proposal. Eden accepts of course and runs to announce the news to her parents. C.C. opens the door of Kelly's room and finds Gina and Mason lying together on the bed. He demands their immediate departure from the home and announces that he wants to divorce. He immediately calls Jack to change his testament again in relation to Mason. Gina refuses to leave if it is not with Brandon. She goes to Santana's place who she knows is responsible for C.C.'s discovery.  C.C. has the beginning of a feeling of cardiac faintness and sends for his doctor. Sophia reproaches Santana for having acted deliberately without thinking of the trouble it would cause to C.C.. . Mason decides not to stay there. He phones Lindsay Smith to ask him for a favour...

Episode 273

Warren discovers that Morgan Malone, the witness of the explosion of the Capwell oil rig, is in the city. He decides to meet him. Mason sends for Lindsay in a room of the court. He tells him that C.C. knows about the link with Channing Junior and that he wants to share common memories with him. He asks him to bring his father a photo of them together, having burnt them all. Ted's trial resumes, with the defendant in the bar. Steve proves to be very virulent in his respect. He accuses Ted of being sexually frustrated because of Laken that he accuses of being frigid, of hating women because he was left as a child by his mother, and to have a habit of buying women with his destiny. Cruz informs Mason that Christie continuously seems to ask for the approval of his brother-in-law when she was in the bar. So, when his turn came for questions, Mason blocks Christie's view by remaining right in front of her. He accuses her of being a licensed liar, notably with the family. But Christie loses her temper suddenly and repeats that her rapist is Ted and nobody else. Mason sees this settling, when suddenly Christie goes back on her word. At Steve's big surprise, she refuses to get up from the stand and asks to make a new statement...

Episode 274

The judge orders a break before Christie goes back on her word. When the trial resumes, Christie explains that she has been thinking for several days to have made a mistake and wrongly accused Ted. She finally exculpates him publicly again. Mason asks for the cancellation of charges, what Steve is well obliged to grant him. The judge gives a ruling towards the end of trial and offers the apologies of the court to Ted. Mary is worried that the true rapist is not discovered, while Theda regrets losing the interest of the journalists and of the possible biographers to whom she wanted to sell their history. Mary points out that Christie seems scared as soon as she is facing Steve. Ted excuses Christie and unites his family and Laken to celebrate his discharge. Warren sends for Morgan Malone at Gillis' and questions him. Facing Mason and Julia, Malone also confesses to have been hurt by the explosion at the same time as Well, but at the same time as he accepted the money from the Capwell Firms to keep silent. Mason joins his family in the Capwell residence and is followed by Lindsay. He introduces him to his father. Lindsay begins by thanking C.C. for having accepted his relationship with Channing Junior...

Episode 275

C.C. interrupts the discussion with Lindsay to wish Laken and Ted a good party, who leave to isolate themselves in the Lockridge residence for the night. Steve proves to be pressing in relation to Christie, who has a feeling that he is going to start his acts of violence again. She uses an instant of Steve's inattention to run away from her flat having hidden some money in her wallet. Steve leaves to conduct his research in the city by arming himself with a revolver. Christie phones Ted at Laken's to inform him that her mother is about to make an outburst to the Capwell's. But it is in the private party organised in the Orient Express when Theda arrives. Persuaded that the Capwell threatened her daughter so that she sees her evidence, she attacks Sophia and grabs her on the shoulders. Thrown to the floor, Theda sprains her ankle, but Ted comes to her help and brings her back to his car. Mary apologises for her behaviour, but Laken proves to be uncompromising towards her. Mason calls Warren and asks him to send for Morgan Malone at the Capwell's. Morgan comes in and C.C. returns the money to him that he had accepted for the silence further to the explosion. C.C. is forced to sign a 10 million dollar cheque in the order of Well Gillis to avoid a trial and any bad advertising. Mason then makes Lindsay go back. Lindsay tells C.C. about the good memories that he kept of Channing Junior, then apologises for having participated in the blackmail which Peter Flint had forced upon Channing. C.C. tries to understand which bad deed his son could make to have been a victim of blackmail. Lindsay understands while C.C. knows nothing and, feeling deceived by Mason, leaves the villa immediately. Mason suggests his father should sit down before he tells him the truth...

Episode 276

Taken refuge in her mother's home in Ventura, Christie phones Ted and asks him to be careful, thinking that Steve is his enemy. Mason shows his father the photo of Lindsay and Channing Junior embraced. C.C. still refuses to see the obvious, until Mason maintains that both had a homosexual relationship. C.C. refuses to believe him, until Mason calls Santana who confirms his statements, while regretting that C.C. ends up learning this. Sophia, anxious for C.C. who begins having a feeling of faintness, violently shows Mason the door, with Gina and Santana. C.C. asks Sophia to empty Channing Junior's room, on which he decides to disown. Sophia complies, but ends up making him find a reason, by explaining to him that nothing changes in the love which he has for Channing Junior, and the fact that he knows about a strong loving relationship, with another man, must be positively seen. Lionel delivers a copy of the video tape including Sophia's archives, in the days when she was actress to C.C.'s place. Augusta goes to the Orient Express and finds Frank, who has come for Lionel's party, persuaded that he actually died! Augusta becomes established at Gina's table and Gina tells her that Mason revealed to C.C. a Channing Junior concerning secret. A misunderstanding becomes established between both women. Augusta goofs and, thinking that it is her secret which was disclosed, tells Gina that Channing Junior is Lionel's son. But she finds arguments to persuade Gina to repeat nothing. Mason goes back to savour his revenge at his father's, and discovers that C.C. seems to have already accepted the revelation which he made to him...

It will be necessary to wait for episode 358 before seeing Frank Armsted again.

Episode 277

Gina wakes up on the sofa at the Lockridge's, after Augusta brings her back after their party spent in the Orient Express the day before. She remembers immediately what she learnt concerning Channing Junior and phones Mason to entrust him with this secret. Mason makes her promise to repeat nothing, at first. Eden asks Cruz to leave his post in the police which she considers too dangerous, and encourages him to leave his boathouse. The prosecutor temporarily sends for Steve. He announces to him that further to his behaviour in the affair with Christie, he relieves him of his functions. Steve is persuaded that Cruz and the Capwell's are behind his dismissal. At the end of his nerves, he loses temper against Mary, who fears that he will hit her as he has already done this in the past. Ted informs Steve about the call which he accepted from Christie and remembers having heard the noise of a train in the background. Ted guesses that Christie is at her mother's and leaves to find her there. He asks her who she is hiding from. C.C. entrusts Eden that he is dying and that he wants to entrust her with the reins of the Capwell Firms. Warren comes to find C.C., having learnt that C.C. finally changed his opinion concerning the offer of arrangement in the Gillis affair. Gina comes back home and makes Sophia understand that she knows about her secret. Sophia runs up to Augusta, who admits having goofed and adds that Mason also knows thanks to Gina. Mason is just about to tell his father, ready to reveal to him some secret about Channing Junior and Sophia...

Episode 278

Jack offers Kelly to put her in contact with an editor to publish her drawings. Nick seems a bit jealous. Christie reveals to Ted that she knows her rapist well, and that this one fooled her a number of times for many years. But she still refuses to tell her who it is. Feeling in danger of death, he suddenly comes to mind that the single exit exists: kill her rapist. She is going to search for a weapon having belonged to the Steve's father, hidden in the home. Sophia tells Gina that C.C. suffers from an aneurism and can die any minute in case of an emotional shock. They run up in the atrium to prevent Mason from revealing to C.C. the Channing Junior secret. Mason pushes back Sophia's plea, reminding himself that she, in the past, had diverted the letters which his mother addressed him while he was child. C.C. openly confirms to Gina that he married her only to get custody of Brandon. He asks Jack to read the modifications which he made to his testament: Mason loses the direction of the Capwell Firms to the advantage of Eden, as well as his inheritance, just as Gina, and asks for the dissolution of their marriage and exclusive custody of Brandon. It encourages Mason to only want his father to suffer more in front of Gina and Sophia, scared by the consequences. Having been reminded of many painful memories of childhood, he reveals to C.C. that Channing Junior and has never shared the same blood, because he was not his son...

Mark Schneider temporarily replaces Joel Crothers in the role of Jack Lee because of "illness". He will come back as from episode 736 to play another character, Paul Marshal.

Episode 279

Eden and Cruz go to see Steve, to bring him his office affairs further to his dismissal. Flashes appear to Mary, who understands suddenly that Steve is her sister's rapist. She notably remembers nearby that he hit her several years ago; he had paid her advances then apologised. She tries to announce her suspicion to Eden, but doesn't get the opportunity. She is once again left only with Steve, who gets dangerously closer to her. Mason shows C.C. a blood test from Channing Junior which certifies that he is not his son. C.C. asks Sophia to deny this, but she cannot. She pleads Gina to call C.C.'s doctor immediately. At the time of phoning, Gina changes her mind and prefers calling Augusta to tell her that C.C. knows. Augusta fears that the news will reach Lionel and encourages him to leave with her to go around the world. C.C. understands that Channing Junior's father is Lionel. Filled with hate towards Sophia, he phones Jack Lee and asks him to remove Sophia and Brandon from his will. Alone in the office, he takes some medicine and grabs a weapon. Sophia reproaches Mason for his activities and tells him that C.C. is dying. When both go to find him in the office, C.C. has disappeared. Lionel sees him suddenly leaving the home...
