Episode 210

Brick is followed by a man organised by Jack and Parker to his mother's. He announces to him that he met a woman with whom he fell in love with, but that she is pregnant to another man. At the Capwell Hotel, Cruz takes in hand the direction of the operations of rescuing all the guests. With Nick's help, he finds a way of access to one of the rooms where the firemen will be able access with their big ladder. It is time to decide in which order to evacuate the guests. Mason declares that if Channing Jr was alive, he would have voted so that he leaves last. Christie, in marriage with Ted, is thrown into a panic and refuses to go across the wall of fire to reach the firemen. Everyone in turn is finally saved. Gina is taken by ambulance because of a crushed ankle. Mason goes with her to end their affair. He makes love with her and makes her sign the papers, to which Gina adds a condition: that she gets pregnant in ten days. Before Marcello is driven to the hospital, half conscious, he murmurs something in Cruz's ear about the death of Channing Jr. Eden, Sophia and C.C. urges him to repeat the statements to them, but Cruz says nothing...

Episode 211

Lionel has the idea of selling new mattresses to the Capwell Hotel to replace those harmed during fire. Augusta accepts a new present, a necklace, on behalf of her anonymous admirer, who is Lionel. Lionel visits her and uses Frank once again as a spokesperson. Brick introduces Amy to his mother. He sees a man by the window has a squint and runs away in disguise with Amy. Mason discovers that Gina's signature on the document is wrong. Learning that Marcello entrusted Cruz with the name of the murderer of Channing Jr, he goes to his flat to search it. With the presidential suite having been harmed by the smoke, C.C. offers Sophia to come and stay at the guest house of the property. Cruz comforts Eden because of the interruption to their wedding ceremony. Nick asks Warren to give information to him about Joe, which he heard from Kelly. Warren shows him an old press cutting concerning him. Nick finds Kelly's trace, she is at the grave of her former spouse. He comforts her in the rain...

Episode 212

Amy and Brick take refuge in a shed to spend the night. Nick invites Kelly to the State Street bistro and dances with her. But Kelly does not feel ready to go further with him, especially when the song she shared with Joe suddenly plays. Laken offers Christie to come and live with her at her parents. Eden admits in front of Mason and Ted that Channing Jr had entrusted her with information about his relationship with Lindsay before his death. Facing a mirror, Marcello becomes obsessed to remove his pain. He manages to avoid the policeman who is watching the entrance of his hospital room and goes back home. Cruz finds Mason searching Marcello's place. Marcello then arrives home and catches a small chest where some chemicals are hidden. He takes with him the pair of gloves which he used to write Peter Flint's confession letter on his typewriter, mentioning the installation of the nitro-glycerine which caused the explosion in the tunnel. He goes to see Sophia and asks her to go back with him to Italy. Eden arrives at Cruz's boat and discovers that he was visited. Afterwards she sees Cruz's phone call asking him to be wary of Marcello but he is right behind her. Persuaded that she is facing her brother's murderer, she prevents him from leaving the boat...

Episode 213

Frank invites Augusta and Julia to have lunch. As usual, Lionel follows them, but Frank creates more and more distance with Lionel. Still being tortured, Jack reveals information from his past with Julia that the wrong Jack uses. Marcello threatens Sophia with a weapon so that she leaves Santa Barbara with him. Cruz leaves and makes him stop then sees him out of his watched hospital room. He then writes invitations which he sends to the Capwells, to the Lockridges and to Lindsay Smith, asking them to go to the Capwell residence the next evening for a re-enactment of Channing Jr's murder. Amy wakes up in the shed next to Brick and has a feeling that she is about to give birth. Brick drives her to a hospital. But the men with the wrong Jack Lee intercept his call to Marisa and inform Jack and Dr Renfro of the place where Amy is. Eden surprises Cruz speaking during his sleep. She records it, while he calls Marcello's name again and again...

Episode 214

Gina gets mad at Santana to have been searching for Brandon after his exit from the hospital without her knowledge. Cruz wakes up from his nightmare and finds Eden recording him. She insists that they get married without waiting. Mason, Lionel, Warren and Lindsay meet in the State Street bar to discuss the invitations sent out by Cruz. They wonder who Channing Jr's murderer is and why Cruz asked them to come dressed like the evening of the murder. Mason goes to the office of the Capwell residence and finds a gun in a drawer. C.C. surprises him and asks him to swear that he has got nothing to do with the murder of his stepbrother. Lindsay enters Cruz's boat, with a gun in his hand. Santana's impromptu arrival allows Cruz to disarm him. Lindsay explains that he is disgusted at the idea that it is possible to accuse him of the murder. Dr Renfro arrives at the hospital where Amy and Brick are and takes the delivery in hand. The baby is born, but Renfro takes him from his mother and gives him to a mysterious woman who leaves by car with the new-born baby. Dr Renfro tells Brick that, further to respiratory difficulties, the baby died...

Episode 215

Brick is forced to announce to Amy that her baby died. But he doubts the explanation from Dr Renfro, especially after a nurse, who attended the delivery, tells him that, for her, the baby was healthy. Minx reveals to Lionel that she knows that he has already known Sophia before her marriage with C.C. and that they continued seeing each other later. But she swears that she has got nothing to do with the death of Channing Jr. Gina takes a pregnancy test and confirms that she is pregnant. She agrees to sign Mason's papers to thank him. Mason confesses to her while she was pregnant to C.C. C.C. confirms to Santana that it was Channing Jr who organised the abandonment of Brandon and not himself. He tells her that Channing was persuaded that she deliberately got pregnant to be married. Santana under the impact and, disappointed by Channing Jr, is very pleased about his death. Brandon finds the gun in the drawer in the office at the Capwell residence. Cruz explains to C.C. that it was him who left it for the re-enactment of murder. He sends a policeman to Mason to force him to come, but Mason escapes from his home by a window. Cruz announces to Eden that he intends to play the role of Channing Jr. Meanwhile, a person leaves the Capwell office to squeeze in the tunnel...

Episode 216

Brick goes to the nurse Bayley, who confirms her suspicion as for Dr Renfro. Brick tells Amy that he thinks that the baby is still alive. He also tells her that Jeff died and that he was sterile, persuaded that his assassination has something to do with the disappearance of the baby. At the airport, he discovers that Renfro left Chino with a very living baby. In the morgue, he sees himself confirming that no body of a new-born baby was brought in the day before. Meanwhile, the wrong Jack Lee is with the baby on board of a plane. Mason, Lionel and Lindsay find Sophia and Marcello in his hospital room. They suspect mutually to be responsible for the murder of Channing Jr. Each gets ready for the re-enactment party of the murder. Once everybody was united in the Capwell residence, Cruz speaks and confirms that the murderer is well among them...

Episode 217

Brick goes to Dr Renfro's office, who pretends not to understand where he could pass the body of Amy's baby. The wrong Jack Lee sends two henchmen to get Brick: they stun him, and transport him up to his car. Cruz sends for the guests up to C.C.'s office. Eden, Kelly and Ted bet on Marcello. Cruz lists their motives guilty possibilities and: Lionel, after Channing Jr discovers that he had a relationship with Sophia; Warren, whom Channing Jr accused of having stolen gold coins belonging to the Capwells; Lindsay who blackmailed him with Peter Flint about his homosexuality; and finally Mason. Sophia seems to find memories of the evening. But Marcello stops her and takes the blame for the murder. Sophia, in kind of a trance, sees herself disguised as a woman as Dominic, comes back into the office by the tunnel. She writes a note for Lionel asking him to join her there, and gives it to a servant. She suddenly admits that these words as those that attracted Channing Jr towards his death this famous evening. She sits down in the big leather chair in the office and gets the gun from the drawer. Suddenly Lionel, whom Cruz had got outside, enters the room. Sophia turns to his direction and pulls the gun...

Episode 218

The henchmen of the wrong Jack Lee place Brick at the steering wheel of his car and let it leave the road. Brick is fortunately stopped by the police before having an accident. In the cell, he phones Amy. Amy calls Jack Lee to get him out from prison and comes to search for him accompanied with Minx. Lionel pretends to have died after the shooting of Sophia. Sophia squats in front of him and sees the evening of the murder again, where she suddenly accomplished to have killed her son, Channing Jr. Marcello comes to help her, and tells her that by discovering her in a state of shock that evening, he hypnotised her by making her believe that it was Lionel who had pulled the gun on Channing to relieve his mind. It is while he had driven her to Anchorage for psychiatric care. But Sophia suddenly remembers having gone there the day before in the office and unloaded the weapon. C.C. screams of terror: he has reloaded the gun the evening after Sophia's visit. Cruz announces that Marcello is going to be followed for blockage and for the explosion of the tunnel which caused the death of Hank Judson. Augusta bursts in anger to have gone blind by his error. Eden asks Cruz what he intends to do concerning Sophia...

Episode 219

Cruz prefers waiting til the next day to make a decision concerning Sophia. All her children, just as Santana, forgive her her gesture. Mason offers to represent her in the case against her, but C.C. opposes to it. Marcello says goodbye to Sophia, as do Kelly and C.C., before being arrested by the police. Fearing that the party created a disagreement between Mason and his father, Warren asks Julia to take back the affair of Well Gillis against the Capwell Firms. He organises a meeting between Julia and Maggie, but Maggie does not want to change lawyers. Julia sees herself offering to join Jack Lee's office. In the State Street bistro where she has appointment with him, she incidentally meets Mason, who takes her for one of the prostitutes of Ginger Jones. Gina suddenly thinks that Hank Judson may be her baby's father. C.C. asks Jack to be Sophia's lawyer. He walks her back home to the guest house and embraces her. Gina sees them and phones to the newspaper The Santa Barbara Sentinel to denounce Sophia. But C.C. surprises Gina and makes her fall to the floor after having sedatives. As Cruz cannot say what he intends to do with Sophia, Eden seems to have decided to cancel their new wedding ceremony which she had organised for the next day...
