Episode 200

C.C. and his lawyer offer Mason and Maggie, who joined them with Warren, a new deal: 1 million dollars against any claim and an official recognition of the non-responsibility of Capwell Enterprises in Ben's accident. But Maggie refuses once again. Ted walks Jackie back home to Perkins. Brick in the meantime accepted the visit from Dr Renfro, eager to launch Amy's delivery before the end of the week. Amy indeed accepted the order of Parker and Jack to bring the baby into the world as quickly as possible. Eden announces to Kelly the inauguration of the Orient Express restaurant for the following day . On the Capwell yacht where he found shelter, Marcello fabricates an explosive system which he hides in a suitcase. He is later questioned by Cruz about his knowledge of the asylum where Sophia stayed. Cruz bluffs to get a first admission: Marcello admits having been in the Capwell residence the day of the murder of Channing Jr. Mason arranges to meet Gina in State Street bistro. He pays her first advances, before revealing his plan: he offers to make her the baby whom she needs to keep C.C....

Episode 201

Lionel asks Julia to let him secretly live in the Lockridge residence, to be able to watch over Augusta. Jack searches for Amy, who has disappeared. Sophia has a nightmare when she suspects a threat to come from Marcello. She finds Eden and Cruz in State Street bistro and Cruz repeats what he learnt about Marcello. Marcello surprises them all talking. He then follows Sophia up to Cruz's boat and then confesses to have been present in Santa Barbara the evening of the death of her son and to have driven her to Anchorage. Sophia bears a grudge against him for having lied about this part of his life. In State Street bistro, Mason pressures Gina to become his secretary and to type his mail. He then asks her to organize their first party of love with champagne, caviar and satin sheets. Gina complies, feeling compelled. The evening arrives at the Capwell Hotel, Mason introduces another requirement to Gina: that she makes him the administrator of the donation which C.C. gave to Brandon...

Episode 202

Cruz asks Maggie to watch over Kelly and Marcello at the party to unveil Eden's restaurant, the Orient Express. Kelly is accompanied with Marcello, to Nick's great displeasure. Santana questions Cruz, then Mason, about the role which Marcello played in the murder of Channing Jr. With Mason's help, she manages to dance with him during the party, but gets nothing. Danny and Laken go to the party together. Laken's partner causes Ted to launch a fight. Kelly is followed across the floors of the Capwell Hotel by Brandy Fairbanks, who tries to eliminate her. Maggie follows Kelly and searches the basement of the building. She just misses Marcello, taking measurements of the room. Eden and Cruz launch into an enviable dance in front of all the guests. Nick spots Brandy with his camera and sees her suddenly getting closer to Kelly...

Episode 203

Nick prevents Brandy from shooting Kelly and follows her to the hotel. But the music and the crowd ensures that nobody sees what is going on. Marcello blocks the lifts and Santana finds herself wedged between two floors with Mason. Facing her, Mason explains to her that Channing Jr has never loved her and that he made her adopt Brandon because he was ashamed to have a child with the daughter from the good side. He offers to show her a film of this party to prove to her that she didn't really know him. Danny, at the party with his friends, refuses to leave as Laken's partner, completely drunk, to drive the car. He goes down the road and meets Christie, a young woman who tells him she lives on the street. They hitchhike and it is Laken and Ted who bring them back to the city. Nick finds Brandy on the roof of the hotel. They fight and Brandy falls on the glass roof. She dies immediately, in front of all guests at the party. Cruz tries to find her identity and learns that she is a professional killer. Mason goes to Santana and, whilst waiting for her, starts the tape which he recorded with Lindsay Smith...

Episode 204

Kelly tells Cruz and Nick about the contents of the package which she brought back to Parker Simonson's residence days earlier. All three go there and enter the home thanks to an estate agent. But the home seems deserted and filled with dust. Kelly is however persuaded to have seen Parker and a friend living there. She then remembers that the wife at the airport is the same person she had seen in the park with Brandon. When Santana goes back home, she finds Mason asleep on her sofa. She asks him to leave her alone to listen to the tape. Mason leaves the flat, but stays on her doorstep. He hears her starting the tape. Santana is confused and in tears after discovering the relationship of Channing Jr with a man. Mason also shows her copies of the letters that Lindsay Smith wrote to Channing Jr. Santana threatens Mason with a knife so that he throws the tape into the fire in her chimney. Cruz sees the wedding dress which Eden brought back from her father's. Eden fears that this is a bad omen. Marcello is in the basement of the Capwell Hotel and looks at the functioning of the camera which he installed in one of the lifts. Sophia then finds him at home. She occupies him to search for papers, and finds a letter in German dated from May 28th, 1944. She makes the link with the marriage of Eden and Cruz, envisaged on May 28th...

Episode 205

Augusta's blindness is very bad. Lionel uses the arrival of the new dairyman, Frank Armsted, to dictate to him some flattering words to be said to Augusta to comfort her. But Augusta invents an astronaut's past in front Lionel's dumbfounded look. On television, Kelly recognizes Jack Lee, introduced as the special adviser of the president back from a long trip in Europe, as the man whom she saw smoking at Parker Simonson's place. Cruz, Nick and Kelly go to the airport to attend the arrival. A hired killer follows them. Kelly recognizes Jack Lee and succeeds in following him to the toilets. He manages to persuade her that she is wrong and pretends to discover that she is the daughter of his friend C.C. Capwell. Kelly comes back with Cruz and Nick, persuaded to have made a mistake. Jack asks Parker to call off the hired killer, any danger concerning Kelly being moved aside. But Kelly holds her in cheek in front of the entrance of the Capwell guest-house. Mason calls Gina and asks her to join him in a distasteful hotel room. Gina leaves Brandon alone and complies. Being curious, Brandon uses this time to swallow some of his mother's painkillers. In a second state, he spans the window of his room to catch a small plane, and faints on one of the roofs of the residence. Everybody is worried to see Brandon missing...

Episode 206

Santana finds Brandon on the roof, outside the window of his room. In a semi-conscious state, he is driven to the hospital. The doctor announces that he swallowed painkillers, the same as those he had prescribed to Gina. But he reassures them on his state. Gina accepts that Santana stays with him overnight. Lionel plays the advertising executives in the mattress shop where he works from now on. Frank Armsted goes to Augusta's place again, who appreciates his kindness. Lionel continues writing to him asking him what he must say and encourages him to leave fast. Julia and Lionel then go to the Orient Express and Julia meets Jack Lee there, who is an old acquaintance. But he does not recognize her and Julia thinks that he snubs her. She sends him a glass to his face. And yet it is confirmed that the man is not Jack, but a double: the real Jack is being tortured to give information. In the basement of the Capwell Hotel, Marcello prepares a machine gun. Thanks to his camera, he spies on Eden and Cruz in the lift speaking about their marriage...

Episode 207

Santana asks Mason to give her the photos of Channing Jr with Lindsay. Whilst leaving her home, she is nose to nose with Lindsay and recognizes him. Lindsay tries to persuade her that Channing Jr was indeed very in love with her, just as she was with him. At first suspicious, Santana ends up accepting his version. Gina recovers her painkillers in the garbage cans that C.C. made her throw them into to avoid another accident with Brandon. She finds Mason once again in a room at the Capwell Hotel, but asks him to put up a surrounding wall before signing papers giving him the rights to Brandon. Eden and Cruz argue in the morning of their wedding ceremony, so Cruz does not know if Eden intends to get married. Nick persuades him to get ready and plays the messenger to Eden. Marcello finishes preparing his plan: he intends to take out C.C. in one of the lifts of the Capwell Hotel which he can order with hindsight, throw a tape explaining that he plans to avenge the death of his parents, and to make C.C. go down to the basement. There, at the opening of the lift doors, a machine gun will start up and kill C.C.. A few minutes into the ceremony, Marcello sends for C.C. in the lift, but Kelly slips in with her father without Marcello's being able to keep her out...

Episode 208

Gina begins enjoying her appointment at the Capwell Hotel with Mason. To solve their mistrust towards one another, Mason offers her to sign the papers relating to the Brandon at the same instant when it will be likely to put up her surrounding wall. The lift goes down with Kelly and C.C. in it. Marcello's tape starts up and father and daughter discover that Marcello planned to kill C.C.. Fearing for Kelly's life, Marcello heads for the staircase down towards the basement, followed by Sophia. He arrives at time to move away from the centre the machine gun which is only scratching C.C.. Forced to admit the facts, he confesses to Sophia that he had come back in July, 1979 to Santa Barbara then to kill C.C.. He is stopped by two policemen. But a short-circuit is created suddenly starting a fire in the basement. On the floor, Eden is nervous, worrying not to see Cruz arriving, harassed by Carmen Castillo, and alarmed to learn that Nick does not know what he made of his alliance. Cruz gets ready with Danny and joins Eden. Finally, the ceremony can begin...

Episode 209

Augusta asks Julia to phone Jack Lee to invite him home. Julia complies. Meanwhile, the real Jack Lee, still subject to torture, remembers his relationship with Julia, while he has already gone out with Augusta who has never known anything. At Augusta's, the wrong Jack accepts a call from Parker who announces that Brick was located in an ambulant circus and therefore Amy is not far away. Ready to pass to the serious things, Mason asks Gina to sign the papers. But none of his fountain pens work. Gina suddenly smells some smoke and Mason discovers that a fire has started. Gina sprains her ankle while they try to leave the Orient Express. The wedding ceremony of Eden and Cruz begins, but it is interrupted by Marcello's arrival, reeling, who announces in the assembly that the hotel is blazing. Cruz tries to contain the panic and, in link with the firemen, asks all to leave the roof of the hotel...
