Episode 20

Augusta and Joe are awakened in the marital bed at the Lockridge house by a call from Dominic. Laken, who had taken the telephone down, discovers that Joe spent the night with her mother. She announces to her that she is packing her suitcases for Hollywood, in spite of her ban. Getting the downstream part from Minx, she leaves the residence. Peter goes to see Augusta and breaks his deal  with her: he now feels insured by the love that Kelly has for him and has nothing to fear with Joe anymore, whom does not hesitate to taunt this subject. Joe gets worked up and dashes forward against Peter, but Augusta succeeds in stopping him before a fight starts. Santana, ready for everything to give herself to C.C., plays on details that can make her comparable to Sophia, the wife so much loved by C.C. who died. Rosa, who guesses her small game, warns her against danger of such practices. While Jade reminds Willard Holmby so that he gives her a second chance, Ted and Danny are spotted by an agent by simulating a titanic fight. Joe goes to his appointment with Dominic, who gets ready to show himself, when a third person comes into sight behind Joe then runs away. Joe runs out of the warehouse and is right in the middle of the road, when suddenly a car tears along beside him...

Episode 21

The car which tears along side Joe just stops some centimetres of him. Augusta is behind the steering wheel. She tells him that she has followed him because she suspected him of having appointment with another woman. Joe asks her to leave and call Dominic to reassure him and to organise another meeting with him. During their meeting, Dominic tells Joe about the information which he could spot among business stolen from Channing Jr's room: between others the evidence of a break-in at the Capwell's mentioned in his diary and a love letter intended for Santana. Santana is at this moment with Cruz in his boathouse, occupied to build large-scale plans for the decoration of it. In Hollywood, on a neighbouring table, Ted and Danny spy on Jade and on her appointment, Willard Holmby, in a prestigious restaurant. Danny's jealousy, however, causes them to be quickly spotted by the barman, as well as Willard Holmby himself. When going back to the flat, Ted finds Laken who has joined him there. She tells him that her mother is in a relationship with Joe Perkins. At home, Santana is surprised to see off-loading Joe, who has come to show him the letter which had been intended for her from Channing Jr. Confused and in tears by reading this, she gives a gesture to Joe to get out of her flat, allowing her to read the letter...

Episode 22

Cruz finds Santana in the Capwell stables. He surprises her by leaving Joe with her. Santana once again refuses to answer his questions and she loses her temper with Cruz. Kelly and Peter set the date for their marriage for mid-November. Peter then announces to C.C. that Augusta has a relationship with Joe. C.C. then calls Augusta and asks her to join him at his residence. He threatens to lead the Lockridges to the ruins if they do not return Joe on the field. Augusta does not let this bother her and suggests to C.C. to worry and concentrate on his son Ted and his relationship with Laken. Laken and Ted, just, decided to by-pass Augusta's relationship with Joe and to continue their relationship. They catch unprepared Jade and Danny by finding before them Jake Dodge, the policeman who stopped Peaches Delight in the past and among whom he is secretly in love with. He hesitates to see Peaches Delight again, but offers the four friends to go to a cinema studio where he introduces them to a guiding friend of casting. Jake, under the charm of Laken, offers her a role in a play, to the great displeasure of Jade! Decided to obey, Augusta announces to Warren that she will go to Los Angeles, to bring Laken back home. She announces her trip to Joe and leaves him, not without sneakily telling him about the date of the marriage between Kelly and Peter...

Episode 23

Kelly, C.C., Mason and Cruz are worried not to have seen Santana coming back on horseback. Ruben decides to leave to do his research. Santana was in fact a victim of a fall and is lying unconscious in the forest. She ends up waking up and, with her ankle hurt, tries to get back on her feet. The arrival of a new present on behalf of Lionel postpones the departure of Augusta for Los Angeles. It is an Egyptian tomb. With the departure of his mother, Warren calls Danny and tells him about the imminent arrival. After the day on the set of filming, Laken is surprised to find her mother, looking at Peaches Delight. But she stands up to her and refuses to go back to Santa Barbara with her. Augusta comes back by herself. At the beach bar, she is approached by an unknown person who congratulates her on her buttock. She agrees to dance with him and tells him that she hasn't felt like this since the tragic death of her husband after decease, when suddenly she kisses him without reasoning. Warren then arrives and hits the man before discovering that it is in fact his father, taken in accidentally by his mission...

Episode 24

Warren tells his father that Joe Perkins works for them. It seems to move Lionel, no more than the announcement by Augusta of the relationship between Laken and Ted. When Laken phones home she learns of the return of her father. Jade, Laken, Ted and Danny surprise Peaches Delight by confronting her with Jake Dodge. The reunion seems to happen in the perfect way.  Jade leaves them to go on a small holiday organised by her producer, Willard Holmby. And yet there, only William and three of his friends are present, obviously all three actors of porno! Jade is very suspicious. While she leaves to put on a swimsuit to go to the swimming pool, she finds a telephone and calls Danny to rescue her. On board of a helicopter, C.C. manages to locate Santana. He arrives at her side at the time when a snake bites her on the leg. Back in Santa Barbara, Santana is driven to the hospital. In her bed, she goes up C.C. to thank him and, surprisingly, kisses him on the mouth...

Episode 25

Rosa, Ruben, Cruz and C.C. are at the bedside of Santana. Joe waits for them to leave the room to question Santana on the enemies whom she knew against Channing Jr. But the cross-examination turns into harassment and Santana cracks. Kelly, who surprises them, gets Joe outside. Mason finds Peter, come to accompany Kelly in the hospital, and asks her to investigate Augusta to find where she hides papers concerning her destiny and her properties. Mason threatens to reveal his relationship with Augusta if Peter does not comply very quickly. In Hollywood, Danny leaves for the place of Holmby, thinking he will save Jade of a trap. And yet Jade has already changed her mind and, naively, decides to stay with her new friends. In the flat, Laken accepts a call from her mother who orders her to come back in the evening - even to Santa Barbara. Laken therefore ends up coming back and finding her father. Augusta, for the occasion, prepared the toasts made with Laken and Ted's carrier pigeon. Very shocked by the cruelty of the act, Laken calls Kelly and asks her if she can come to see her to speak to her. Meanwhile, Joe has appointment once again with Dominic in the warehouse. But once he is with Dominic, Joe comes out again by the staircase and goes towards the car of his mysterious ally. He opens the chest and hides indoors...

Episode 26

Without knowing it, Dominic drives Joe up to the graveyard. Joe goes out of the chest and waits for the departure of Dominic to discover that he placed himself in front of Channing Jr's grave. Joe then recollects the evening of murder and remembers that a man corresponding to the physical appearance of Dominic had accompanied him up to the office of Channing Jr, where both had thought he was lying on the floor, dead. Joe does not understand why Dominic has not said anything to exonerate him. Kelly succeeds in reaching Ted by telephone and learns that Laken is in a state. Ted decides to leave for Santa Barbara. Danny, who discovered stages of nakedness in a scenario of Jade's film, refuses to help her to repeat text. Jade tries however to implicate him by playing the card of seduction. After a long discussion with her father, Laken leaves the Lockridge residence for the Capwell residence. In spite of Mason's incomprehension, she is welcomed by Kelly...

Episode 27

Joe is excited by announcing to his mother that he finally thought a witness is likely to exonerate him for the murder of Channing Jr. He has an appointment again with Dominic and asks him for the reasons of his silence during these last five years. Jade continues her charming number with Danny. But when he ends up giving in to her advances, she retracts and pours water from a vase to tranquilize him! Lionel goes to the Capwell residence to search for Laken. He is received by C.C there. Mason then urges Peter to use the absence of Lionel to go and question Augusta. Peter complies and learns from Mason that the papers in which he is searching for are hidden from the Lockridge residence. Mason then devises a plan: he pretends that Joe was seen on the place of a break-in and asks that the residence of his employers, the Lockridge residence, is searched. He hopes he can lay his hands on the title deeds which he desires. Meanwhile, Laken still refuses to go back to her parents. Lionel asks Augusta to join him and, when Laken gets ready to give in to going back home, Ted finally arrives. He rises against the interference with this couple (him and Laken) and announces his decision to leave with her...

Episode 28

C.C., Mason, Lionel and Augusta continue arguing about Laken and Ted. Meanwhile, the couple takes refuge in a hotel. Marisa repeats the good news to John that Joe announced to her. But John has a bad surprise to discover that his revolver has disappeared from his hiding-place. In the hospital, Santana questions her mother about Sophia to get closer to C.C.. When Cruz comes to visit Santana, he recommends that she forget Channing Jr. By seeing her with C.C., he understands that something is going on between them. Kelly begins doubting the guilt of Joe. She announces her thoughts to Peter, then to Cruz. Joe calls Mason and tells him about the existence of a witness, Dominic. While he attempts to run away, Joe tries to keep him and is hit on the head...

Episode 29

When Mason arrives at the shed, Dominic has already run away. As Joe is hurt, Mason believes that another person was with Joe and lets him leave. Kelly bears a grudge to have believed so quickly in Joe's innocence. She goes to The Mesa, to join Cruz before he speaks to Joe, but she is already much too late: Cruz has already announced to him the change of Kelly's attitude. She then tries to phone Joe directly, but it is Marisa who takes the call. Cruz ends up announcing to Joe that Kelly has already changed her opinion on this subject. Once again, John also refuses to believe in the innocence of his son, since he lost his revolver. Kelly finally finds Joe in The Mesa and announces to him that she does not want to see him anymore. Laken does not feel ready to make love with Ted. Back in Hollywood, she entrusts Jade with the information that she did not cross that line with him. Mason goes to the Lockridge residence with a mandate to search the house. Pretending to search for jewellery stolen by Joe, he searches the home and hides the title deeds which he desired...
