Episode 190

At the airport in Santa Barbara, an unknown person with the brown hair places a mysterious package in a suitcase belonging to Kelly. Rosa, who opens the suitcase which Kelly brought back with her, discovers a packet addressed to a Parker Simonson in there. In San Francisco, Brick meets a neighbour of Jeff's who tells him that Jeff felt watched and that he saw him running away by the emergency ladder.  Dr Renfro informs this mysterious person that he learnt from Amy that Brick is in San Francisco. The man then goes to Jeff's flat and asks Brick to go in an alleyway where a surprise waits for him. Brick complies and discovers Jeff's body with horror in a garbage can. C.C. offers a deal to Maggie: 40 000 dollars if she leaves her class action against Capwell Enterprises.  Maggie blazes against this proposal which she considers disrespectful for her husband. She then joins Mason to come to meet Ben at home. Back in the old flat belonging to Kelly, Mason installs video equipment belonging to Lindsay which he brought with him. He faces the camera on himself to film a video which he intends for his father, where he introduces the compromising photos of Channing Jr and Lindsay to him. Sophia tells Lionel that she thinks he is an innocent person of her almost drowning sixteen years before. She then goes to the Capwell residence where Eden invited her with Kelly, Marcello and her father. She asks C.C. to tell her about his war memories in the days when he was in the Netherlands. Curious about what he is going to tell them, she makes Marcello confess that he is originally from the same city as where C.C. landed by air. When Marcello declares that his true first name is Hans, C.C. begins understanding who he really is...

Episode 191

Marcello recalls his memories of childhood in front of C.C., Sophia, Eden and Kelly. On the death of his parents, he was driven to an orphanage, just avoiding execution by the Nazis. C.C. proves to be sincerely affected to find this child whom he has searched for a long time in vain in the orphanages of the neighbouring regions after the departure of the Nazis. Marcello finally seems to accept C.C.'s excuses. The unknown person at the airport goes to Kelly's flat, to find the suitcase with the package in it. She finds Mason there, to whom she comes as being Brandy Fairbanks, masseuse of profession. Mason pays for her services. Maggie finds Warren in his car. With the promiscuity, they end up kissing each other. But Maggie feels guilty in relation to Ben and pushes Warren back. Cruz has revelations to be made concerning the murder of Channing Jr. He arranges to meet all potential suspects in the Capwell residence the next day at midday. The evening arrives, Marcello again opens his family photo album. Alone in the dark, he promises to his parents to avenge their death...

Episode 192

Augusta joins Lionel on his yacht and speaks about her intention of asking for a divorce. Laken, who cannot stand to see her parents being torn apart, runs away. Brick asks Cruz to give him the results of the autopsy conducted on Jeff in San Fransisco. Brandy Fairbanks goes to the Capwell residence, dressed up as a telephone repairer, to find the mysterious package. Meanwhile, Kelly goes to Parker Simonson, to give him the package found in the suitcase. And he takes her for one of the spies from the pay, but he lets her meet the person who proves to be his accomplice, Jack Lee, while Jack is supposed to be in Europe. When he realises that Kelly is not the one that he believed, he asks one of his employees to settle this account with Kelly. In the Capwell residence, while Mason installs the videocassette recorder which he prepared for C.C., Rosa is surprised to see off-loading Santana, back in Santa Barbara.  Maggie, who performs round dances in the tunnel, misses again and again a mysterious unknown person installing a system of explosives based on nitro glycerine in the tunnel. Ted surprises through inadvertence Gina's telephone conversation, with her asking Hank to bring her new pills in the tunnel. At the end of her nerves, Gina threatens Hank there with a revolver. But Hank succeeds fast in controlling Gina and tears her off her weapon. Ted suddenly comes into sight and gets involved in a struggle with Hank. Hank succeeds in recovering the revolver and takes aim at Gina and at Ted. Cruz, who hears noise in the tunnel, rushes into it. Santana backs him up and, by running, overturns the bottle of nitro glycerine...

First reappearance of Santana Andrade, from now on played by Margaret Michaels, since episode 92.
It will be necessary to wait for episode 323 before seeing Marisa Perkins again.

Episode 193

The fall of the bottle of nitro glycerine causes a colossal explosion in the tunnel. In the Capwell residence, it is panic when C.C. and Rosa note that Ted, Gina, Cruz and Santana disappeared. Laken is worried not to know where her mother is. She is persuaded that she is also blocked in the tunnel. Each their turn, Mason, Sophia, Lionel, Marcello, then Lindsay, whom Cruz had convoked at the Capwell residence, makes their appearance and learn with horror what has just taken place. The firemen arrive there, but do not manage to clear rocks which have collapsed. They announce to C.C. that the chances to find survivors are little. Among debris, Cruz finds Santana and gives her mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to awaken her. By trying to find an exit among rocks, Santana tells Cruz the circumstances of her break up with Channing Jr during his return to Acapulco, after the birth of Brandon. For their part, Gina and Ted also try to find an exit. Gina seems to lose reason, at the end of nerves without her dose of pills. She confesses to Ted that she had her car accident bearing a grudge to kill Hank. She ends however up finding the sachet of medication which Hank had brought her and takes it out without Ted knowing. Cruz succeeds finally in creating an opening among the stony wall. By crossing out the head, he makes a terrible discovery...

Episode 194

Cruz and Santana discover Augusta's lifeless body. They deduct from this that the only reason for her presence in the tunnel is that she is responsible for the explosion and thereabouts the murder of Channing Jr. Augusta takes back her mind to that time, before collapsing again. For their part, Gina and Ted also begin missing oxygen. Gina recovers the money which she gave to Hank in his pocket and tries to bury it discreetly under rocks. Ted points her out and notes that Hank died. In the Capwell residence, while helpers bustle about, it is panic. Sophia accompanies Eden in request. Kelly accepts the mission to take Brandon far from the residence. She drives him to the park, where she finds herself approached by two persons: a photographer, who takes her for a model without her knowing it, and Brandy Fairbanks who, armed with a gun, tries again and again to kill her. Kelly panics only when she notes that Brandon, who had gone aboard of a small train, disappeared. Brandon in fact followed a dog that he saw in the distance. While Ted collapses unconscious, Gina hears help getting closer to her. She succeeds in drawing their attention and is finally helped. Meanwhile, Santana and Cruz seem to have sunk in their turn into lack of thought...

Episode 195

Brick comes to lend a strong hand to Lionel, Warren and Eden who are in the clearing of the tunnel. They manage finally to find Augusta, Santana and Cruz. Eden cannot help proving to be jealous when she sees Cruz looking after Santana, still unconscious. In the hospital, Cruz asks Augusta, with bandaged eyes, for the reason she was in the tunnel. She answers that she feared that there happens to be proof in there accusing Lionel and that she planned to destroy all that she would find. The leader of the firemen shows Maggie and Cruz the existence of a fourth exit of the tunnel in the Capwell garden not far from the centre of explosion. Mason's sudden arrival after this discovery seeds doubt in their mind. In the park, Brandon is still in pursuit of the collie who goes into the boiler room of a building. While he risks falling from a footbridge, he is helped by Nick, the photographer, who found his trace. It is still Nick who, again and again and without knowing it, intervenes in suitable times and prevents Brandy from getting rid of Kelly. Impatient to see Cruz, Eden thinks once again about his wedding proposal. It is, this time, she has decided to accept it...

Episode 196

In the presence of Ted, Gina learns from C.C. that she knows who the biological parents of Brandon are. She then forbids Santana to go up to her son. Mason remembers that the tape of his revelations on Channing Jr is still in the videocassette recorder in C.C.'s room. But when he goes to recover it, he discovers that Ted has just looked at it. Ted, shocked, loses his temper with Mason. He then approaches his father for his protective extremist character towards his children and escapes the Capwell residence, where he was supposed to stay in recovery. By developing the photos of Kelly in the park, Nick discovers a hand holding a revolver in the background. Jackie accepts a telegram from the army which informs her that Larry was reported missing during an attack. Brick tries to reassure her, but Jackie panics, fearing the worst.  Eden plays a game of cat and mouse with Cruz leaving him messages after messages, indicating where to find her. Cruz finally arrives near a park where he stops on a horse. Following the instructions from Eden, he discovers her sitting at a table right in the middle of a clearing. In the flute of champagne which she gives him, Cruz discovers an engagement ring. Eden asks him if he wants to marry her...

Episode 197

At the clearing, Cruz accepts Eden's proposal. Eden then goes to the Capwell residence, where she announces the news to Rosa. Facing C.C. by revealing the truth about Brandon to Gina, Eden cuts him short by telling him that she and Cruz are engaged. C.C. does not like this news; he had other aspirations for his daughter. Nick, who proves to be an old friend of Cruz, comes to find him. He wants to show him the photos which he had taken in the park where the hand holding a revolver appears. But arriving at home, all his photos and his equipment had disappeared. It is in fact Brandy who stole them and gave them to Parker. Parker is nonetheless fond that she removes Kelly, the only witness of the presence of Jack Lee in the city. Brick accepts a call from the forensic surgeon of Jeff: he had choked to death. Besides, the autopsy confirmed his infertility. In State Street bistro, Ted finds Jackie, sitting at a table. Completely depressed, she asks him to join her. At the bar, Ted learns from Jade that Jackie accepted a telegram alarming her as to the fate of Larry. Ted then drives Jackie at home to comfort her, well wary of the letter. But Jackie knows that he guessed the situation. Nick, who learnt from Cruz that the person whom he photographed is called Kelly Capwell, comes to find her. He warns her against a person who would try to kill her. Eden and Cruz decide to fix the day of their marriage. They choose the date of May 20th. It is the same date, that corresponds to the anniversary of the death of her parents, and that Marcello settled to implement his revenge against C.C....

Episode 198

Jackie spent the night on Ted's sofa. When Ted brings her back at home, he is surprised by Jade who hastens to tell the news to Laken. Jackie later accepts the visit from a chaplain of Navy, come to tell her the news that she so much feared: Larry was killed in war. Carmen learns by a note that Cruz slid under his door that he got engaged to Eden. She rises against this union, while Sophia is delighted with it. In the hospital, Augusta undoes the blindfold which she has on eyes and realises that she sees nothing. She understands that she went blind. Thrown into a panic, she phones Julia, her sister in Phoenix. She asks her to come to join her urgently. At her arrival, she asks her to prevent Lionel from coming back into her room and from revealing anything about her blindness. Gina takes a pregnancy test and leaves it in her bathroom. Passing through the Capwell residence, Mason stumbles on this test. He hides behind the curtain of the shower to discover who has used this test, when suddenly Gina appears...

Episode 199

Mason realises that the pregnancy test belongs to Gina. Discovering that the test is positive, an idea comes to him. He colours the results to make Gina believe that she is not pregnant. Julia walks Augusta back home. Lionel, who comes to bring her a plush bear, discovers that Augusta is blind. Ted offers Jackie to accompany him to his holiday in Monterrey, the home of Larry. Mason participates in a new confrontation with C.C. and his lawyer about Ben's affairs. Mason takes up the auction of the potential agreement to 2 million dollars. Cruz questions Sophia about her memories of the evening of the murder of Channing Jr. Sophia tells him that she remembers having seen her son spread on the floor, before meeting without explanation in an asylum in Anchorage in Alaska. Cruz asks his informant to go there to find information on Sophia's stay. He then gets new information on Marcello: he would have arrived under the true name to the United States on July 15th, 1979, that is two weeks before the murder of Channing Jr...
