Episode 1540

Carmen is relieved to see Ric safe and sound at Eden and Cruz's place. He recognises the telephone number put in his attacker's pocket as being that of Bar None. Cruz informs Tawny that Ric is alive. They meet and Ric asks her to be wary of her father. Cruz enters by breaking in to Richards and searches Harland's office. Gretchen tells Mack about her suffering facing her husband who assaults her. She entrusts that she would like to see him dead. Craig suspects Flame of having shameful intentions with Robert. Kelly surprises them while Craig invites Flame to go out. In his cell, Robert continues questioning Flame about Quinn, the identity of which he is still unaware. On his return, Quinn announces to Flame that he has a plan to catch Kelly's destiny: he intends to marry her...

Episode 1541

Julia and Mason who are reconciled decide to leave their functions respectively at the Blue Sky Brigade and plan Capwell Oasis. Cassandra must renew her driver's licence. She is unsettled when she learns that she must have her fingerprints taken. She seems so uneasy when Stephen tells Dash about the circumstances in which he lost the copies of his film, Journeys. In The Lair, Annie recognises her former spouse, Ed. Ed is with policemen and she is arrested, without Bunny being able to intervene. Ric says goodbye to the family and leaves in disguise for Mexico. Cruz finds a file in the office of Harland Richard in the name of his mother. He then confronts her with what he discovered: she would have been blended with the death of Richard Atkins, who was burnt to death in the fire of his home because of a cigarette which wasn't put out. But a private detective's report would show that Atkins had been shot dead before burning. The murder weapon would have been found and would be covered with Carmen's fingerprints...

Episode 1542

Carmen denies having killed Richard Atkins more than twenty years ago. She tells Cruz that he had only simple knowledge. Cruz thinks that Harland Richard tries to trap his mother. Gina and Phyllis phone Lionel. But Gina finds it difficult to fake an Asian accent. C.C. lets Lionel find the place where Gina and Phyllis hid the copies of the pictures. Augusta and Lionel hasten to recover the painting there, persuaded to get back the originals while they all are in reality in the living room of the Capwell villa. Carmen to Pacific Bay polo club and is nose to nose with Harland. Harland goes to stables and finds Gretchen kissing Mack. Craig follows Flame home and rings her door while she is in the basement with Robert. Quinn organises a romantic night for Kelly in a cinema studio, with a decor of a chalet in the mountains with snow. He makes her believe that he had an operation to partly remove the scar from his back. Having made love, he offers her to marry him...

Episode 1543

Gretchen announces to Mack that she cannot go out with him anymore as long as her husband is alive. Eden recommends to Tawny to open her eyes on the true personality of her father. She goes back home and begins searching the office of her father, when he arrives. Cruz learns that Richard Atkins was linked with the mafia, especially with Anthony Tonell. Carmen ends up admitting that she had a link with Atkins, she worked in his club after Rafael left her. Robert calls for help through a ventilation grid, hoping that Flame's visitor hears him. Flame succeeds in getting rid of Craig and goes back to the basement. Robert manages to grab Flame by the neck and threatens to choke her through the bars of his cell. He finally unlooses her. Kelly is surprised by Quinn's proposal. She reserves the right to answer him later. They make love, while Flame hangs around alone on her bed. Quinn joins her later and explains that Kelly has not yet agreed to marry her. In Pacific Bay polo club, Kelly announces to Eden that Robert asked her to marry him...

Episode 1544

C.C. welcomes Gina and Phyllis in the Capwell villa with a revolver. Gina panics, and C.C. forces her to admit that if she saw him, that she is not blind. He tells her that he knows about her operation to hide his pictures, and tells her that she was only putting the originals on his walls. He orders her to leave the villa and threatens to keep Brandon with him. Sophia rejoices, while Gina packs her suitcases and says goodbye to Brandon with reservations. Augusta announces to Lionel that she intends to leave him, she doesn't trust him anymore. Lionel succeeds in recovering her when he gets a cheque from his purchaser for all of C.C.'s pictures. Eden does not react to Kelly's announcement concerning Robert's wedding proposal. Kelly pushes her sister to confess that she is jealous and that she is against this union, but Eden says nothing about it. She announces the news to Sophia, hoping to keep the information restricted from C.C.. But C.C. hears their discussion. In Pacific Bay polo club, Craig joins Eden at her table. Eden mentions the proposal. C.C. entrusts Sophia that there will be no marriage between Kelly and Robert...

Episode 1545

Julia and Mason start their holiday in Mexico, while being unable to think of anything else other than the occupations which they left. Julia receives a call from Cassandra who tells her that the committee of justice gave a ruling: both took back rights to exercise their lawyer's job, but they have to prove themselves by working for six months pro bono. Dash finds the devastated offices. Stephen offers to film the damage. Dash thinks that C.C. is behind the vandalism and accuses Cassandra of playing a spy for her boss. Augusta and Lionel decide to leave using some money from the sale of C.C.'s pictures. They offer for Laken to leave with them. In The Lair where she took back her job as a waitress, Gina surprises Laken saying goodbye to Amado. She goes to see Lionel and accuses him of having sold copies behind her back. She claims her half of the sum of the resale, reminding him that she has compromising photos of him and Sophia. Lionel accomplishes while he made a mistake and while he sold copies, he thought he had recovered the originals. He phones Augusta to urge her to join him at the airport before his purchasers find them. But already an Asian henchman waits for Augusta at the exit of her hotel room and stuns her in the corridor...

Episode 1546

Craig goes to see Flame while she gets out of the shower. He removes the towel from her head and discovers her nice blonde hair. Flame explains to him that she habitually wears the brown wig to seem more credible as a journalist. Craig steals the video tape of her interview with Robert from her. He views it, and then gives it to Eden, thinking that she proves very close reports between Debra and Robert. Gretchen learns from a lawyer that Harland's testament envisages that in the event of death, Tawny will inherit from the destiny only from the age of 21 years. She is then joined by Mack, which she once again makes him believe that she feels threatened by Harland. Carmen tells Eden about her link with Richard Atkins, and that she was shocked to learn that he practiced mafia activities. Cruz discovers that Harland has an informant within the police. After days of digging in the chimney of his cell, Robert manages to hide from her. As Flame does not find him, she enters the cell, with a revolver. Robert gets out of his hiding-place and locks her up behind the bars. He takes the lift to go back up to the ground floor of the home and heads for the outside. When he opens the front-door, he is nose to nose with Quinn for the first time...

Episode 1547

Quinn hits Robert and recovers Flame's weapon. He makes Robert go back down to his cell, and releases Flame. Robert does not understand who he has met. Quinn tells him that he is his twin brother, which their parents left at birth because of a lack of money. He explains to him that he tries today to recover their relationship. Augusta wakes up, in chains on a seat. Her abductors claim the money of the sale of the copies of pictures from Lionel, but also 25 million dollars of debt which he owes them from his adventures in Asia. Carmen goes to the office of Harland Richard and asks him to help her find Ric. Harland swears that he knows nothing. At the police station, Cruz and Michael trap the policeman who has become Harland's mole. Carmen joins Cruz and entrusts that she thinks that Harland Richard and Richard Atkins are the same person. But no proof confirms this. In Pacific Bay polo club, Kelly announces to Quinn that she decided to accept the proposal. Flame tells Robert that Quinn is about to marry Kelly. Harland comes to Cruz's office. He tells him that he knows that he illegally searched his office and found the file relating to Carmen. He offers to work for him against his silence...

Episode 1548

Cruz does not dare to decline Harland Richard's working offer, fearing repercussions on his mother. She refuses Cruz's request to leave the United States for Mexico. Back in Santa Barbara, Julia learns that Dash asked for her to become the lawyer for Blue Sky Brigade as part of her obligation for pro bono. She accepts, while pretending to be obliged to it. She announces the news to Mason who learns the news about the Oasis plan from Cassandra. Eden and Cruz invite Nikki and Michael to have dinner. Cruz receives a call from Harland, arranging to meet him the following day in the Bar None to negotiate a job. Kelly announces to her father that she accepted Robert's proposal. Quinn does the same to Flame and to Robert there. Flame, a jealous woman, gets closer to Robert when he speaks to her about a nightmare which he had. He tries to make him take his distance with Quinn by telling him that, in the dream, Quinn was taken to him but also to her...

Episode 1549

Cassandra sends for Mason in the Capwell villa, because she fears problems with the Oasis plan since C.C. decided to change the architect. Julia announces to Dash that she finally refuses to work for him. Eager to break their pact and to take back his activity within the Oasis plan, Mason encourages her to go back on her decision. Mack offers to Gretchen to leave to live together in Vancouver. Harland asks Cruz to go to San Francisco to recover a briefcase, the contents of which he refuses to tell him. C.C. recommends to Kelly to sign a marriage contract before marrying Robert. Kelly refuses to hear about it. She organises a dinner in the Capwell residence to announce her engagement officially to her family. Eden discovers that she is not invited. Kelly, almost aggressive, refuses to believe in the good faith of her sister who wishes her all the happiness in the world. Using Flame's absence, Craig enters by breaking in home. He finds the secret access to the lift hidden behind a partition in the living room...

Karmin Murcello is credited as a guest-star in the ending credits in the part of Carmen Castillo, while she does not appear in this episode.
