Eden suffers from an internal haemorrhage. Her doctor decides to operate on her without waiting. Contacted by Cruz to assist Dr Manning, Zack uses a car accident as an excuse to stay at home. He has just kidnapped Adriana in fact and entrusts her to a childminder. Cruz discovers that his baby is not in the nursery and guesses that it is the rapist who kidnapped her. But nobody, including Ramon or the nurses, saw anything. Mason, then Sophia, arrive to encourage Kelly to take back her love life. Kelly then accepts a visit from T.J., his face goes red with anger, when he learns that Jeffrey left the city and it even seems the country. Gina is back in Santa Barbara. All that she found of Keith in Mexico is the form of cancellation of their marriage which he left her before disappearing again. By speaking with Gina, Sonny indicates to her that he is in love with her. Once returned from her operation, Eden asks to see Adriana, but Cruz tells her to have a rest first. Eden however goes to find Cruz in the nursery. Not seeing Adriana behind the window pane, she questions Cruz who confesses to her that the baby has disappeared...

The direction of Michael Gliona is particularly efficient in this episode : the last scene totally mute, where Eden is seen behind the window pane of the nursery understanding that her baby has disappeared and suddenly screams with pain, is simply heartbreaking.

Eden refuses the sedative which Zack wants to give her to tranquillise her. Sophia and Ted, who learn the news, do not know how to comfort Eden. Cruz prefers going to the chapel, asking God to return his daughter. Michael arrives and recommends for him to go back to Eden. Celeste visits Scott in the home that he decided to buy. She remembers with him that this is the place that they met for the first time in high school. Heather organises a romantic evening for Scott to make him understand that she wants also to participate in the purchase of the home. When she wakes up, Eden believes she hears Adriana crying in the corridors of the hospital and begins being delirious...

Despaired to fail continuously in his attempts to entice Gina, Bunny asks for advice from his uncle Mario. He recommends being forward, like a Julius Caesar of modern time with his Cleopatra. Bunny then decides to invite Gina to have dinner to Luigi's, an Italian restaurant. But Sonny, a jealous man, bribes the waiter and pours nasturtium seeds into Gina's dish, knowing she is allergic. Of course Gina begins feeling ill and returns home with disappointed Bunny. In the hospital, Cruz intercepts a call from the rapist who brags to be responsible for Adriana's abduction. He then calls Diane and asks her to think about all suspicious attitudes of any of her doctor friends. In the presence of Zack, Diane recognises the smell of antiseptic which she had smelt on the rapist. Suspicious, she decides to announce it to Cruz and reveals to him her disagreement with Zack when he proved to be sexually powerless with her. These revelations leave Cruz particularly perplexed...

A nurse brings Eden photos of Adriana from her arrival at the hospital. Cruz announces to Vic Boswell, then to Michael, of his suspicion concerning Zack. He then asks Heather if the psychological profile of the rapist she created could fit the personality of a doctor. Michael tells Celeste that he has succeeded in finding her a new flat. He then asks her if she has, in her old job, been confronted with powerless men and what she thought of them. Celeste tells him to fear the excessive reactions of these men. Heather is alarmed of the massive renovation which waits for her and Scott in their new home. Zack tests Cruz to see if he has suspicion concerning him. Cruz comes through it well, letting Zack think that he considers him to be a friend...

Sophia calls a cameraman to record an offer of reward to all persons likely to help to find Adriana. Julia is back in the city with new proof against C.C.: the evidence of one of his old employees who swears the company were informed of the danger incurred by the workers of the rig. Sonny realises that C.C. indeed knew about the risks for his employees. Sophia is shocked to see C.C. being concerned about this affair while his grand-daughter has disappeared. She goes to Julia and asks her to wait before attacking C.C.. But Julia, facing her prosecutor's duty in the service of the public, wants to continue chasing. On advice from Augusta, she hides the evidence accepting arbitration in Samantha’s doll. Augusta, for her part, goes to T.J. and offers to pay for his services to spy on Gina and Mason. By way of down payment, she sleeps with him. Celeste agrees to rent the flat which Michael showed her. Later in the private hospital, she is surprised at finding Rachel, the prostitute she had met in prison. At the sight of Scott's reaction, Celeste fears that he will learn the truth about her past...

Sonny invites Julia and Samantha to play with a kite on the beach to leave the free field for Gina to visit Julia's home and to find the evidence against C.C.. Julia ends up accepting when Augusta tells her that she hired somebody to watch Gina. Augusta then joins T.J., who spies on Gina from his car doing the cleaning at home. This detail makes Augusta suspicious who goes up to the window of the residence and discovers that it is Bunny who does the cleaning, dressed up as Gina! Gina is indeed at Julia's and has already succeeded in finding the file hidden in Samantha’s doll. But Augusta and T.J. arrive and take it back. The Major Hamilton goes to the hospital and, to redeem himself, offers C.C. to add his last savings to the reward given by Sophia. But C.C. pushes back his offer. Cruz goes to Zack and searches his flat, but finds nothing compromising. Vic Boswell comes back from Boston and announces Zack's past to Cruz: he was known to his old friends for the rather nonexistent love life. Ted brings Adriana's video to Eden which he took after her birth. By looking at it with her, Cruz points out a foot in the area around Adriana's bed. He decides to take the video to the police laboratory...

Cruz questions Ted about the video which he took, but he does not remember having seen whoever is in the nursery before the kidnapping of Adriana. Ted then has a bad idea of announcing video to Zack. With Michael, Cruz remembers that Zack had used as an excuse of a car accident to justify his absence from the hospital that day. Michael then goes to the parking area of the hospital and checks the body of his car. But Zack arrives and interrupts Michael’s research. The policeman whom T.J. had called arrives at the same instant as Julia and Sonny, to determine the break-in at Julia’s. Gina is stopped and thrown in prison. Sonny must lie to his father to explain to him why Gina was present at Julia's, the evidence accepting arbitration at his hand. He then goes back to Julia's and takes possession of the document still hidden in the doll, when Augusta comes into sight behind him and takes him to the police station, gun in her hand...

Sonny is locked up in the same cell as a violent prisoner whom he contributed, as Mason, in putting him in prison. He owes his rescue only to the SOS thrown by Gina, locked up in the opposite cell. Bunny ends up arriving and pays Gina's bail. Sonny, he, succeeds in persuading C.C. to do the same for him, by trying to show him what is necessary to regulate the affair of the rig. Bunny uses this position of force to make a new statement to Gina and embraces her. Celeste accepts Heather, Scott and Michael to have a house-warming party in her new flat. She goes to her mother’s grave shortly afterwards and speaks to her about her regrets concerning Scott. But he is right behind her and hears her. In spite of the cake which Augusta prepared for for her birthday, Julia is depressed. She ends up confessing to her sister that a single man could make her happy and Augusta guesses that it is Michael she is talking about. She therefore goes to the chapel and innocently informs Michael of Julia's birthday. Michael then goes to see Julia and gives her an Indian necklace, while Augusta opens the champagne to make them get closer. But behind the door, Sonny spies on them...

Eden learns from Dr Manning that she can finally leave the hospital and go back home. She accepts Heather's visit to which she entrusts her with her fears of bringing up Adriana with more love than Chip. Victoria, who got a role in a TV film in Los Angeles, decided to leave Santa Barbara definitely. She says goodbye to Phillip Hamilton, then to Chip. Philip Hamilton, just, announces to his lawyer of his decision to plead guilty in his trial which is beginning soon. Cruz has the confirmation that it is a scar and not a shadow that is seen on the ankle of the doctor present in Ted's video. Celeste, who has come to return the key to Michael, discovers the confidential file and learns that the number one suspect is Dr Kelton. Michael loses his temper against her after this inquisitiveness. He drives her to Cruz to put her in the picture. To be excused, Celeste offers to act as a decoy in relation to Zack: she wants to pass for a patient and to wait for Zack's reaction who was already dealing with her at the time of Julia's abduction. Cruz and Michael end up accepting. They listen to their discussion thanks to a microphone in Zack’s room until they end up changing rooms. Cruz and Michael then rush into the corridors of the hospital in their search, but Zack has already taken Celeste to another room where, he lowers the blinds, he claims for confidentiality...

At the end credits, Joe Marinelli finally joins the regular cast of the series, while the name of Ross Kettle disappears.

Once the consultation has ended, Celeste offers Zack to come to have dinner at her home in the evening. Zack accepts. Cruz and Michael give Celeste permission to see if Zack has a scar on his right ankle. They install a microphone on Celeste and position themselves, with binoculars, in the building in front of Celeste’s place. Gina refuses an invitation to have dinner with Bunny. She prefers decorating her living room in the colours of Far-West to entice Sonny and to restart their association. Sonny gives in to Gina's advances and both make love in front of the chimney. Augusta comes to flout C.C. in Johnny's and subjects him to the idea that Mason and Gina can act in accomplices against his interests. Once dinner has ended, Zack closes the blinds of Celeste’s living room, which prevents Cruz and Michael from seeing what is taking place. Celeste launches into massaging Zack’s feet and very quickly discovers his scar...
