Episode 110

Warren continues the history: at the time when he entered the office of C.C., Channing Jr was on the floor dying. Warren could hear only the last word : " Ferinmar". Lionel seems unsettled by hearing this name. As the security guards came back to station themselves in front of the entrance of Lionel's office in the museum, Eden and Cruz find themselves locked indoors. Cruz uses it to take photos of the log. Joe accuses C.C. of being at the origin of problems he met at his job. Ted invites Laken to find him in a room of the Capwell hotel for the Christmas Eve dinner of the new year. But cold and feverish, he lies down and falls asleep, leaving only Laken in front of the television. Danny invites Jade to Mammoth to go skiing. But their car breaks down in the middle of the night in the middle of forest. For the Christmas Eve dinner, while Gina invites C.C. to a romantic dance in the Capwell residence, Augusta and Lionel prefer the sparkling frenzy of a champagne bath ! Kelly drives Joe to a church and surprises him with having organised their marriage. But Joe refuses to marry Kelly at this moment. In the museum, Eden is of benefit that Cruz falls asleep on a chair to recover the slides, and jump out the window and, by landing, to scream to alert the security guards before throwing one "Happy new year!" to Cruz...

Episode 111

Augusta and Lionel understand that the note found in the jacket of Warren, was intended to trap Lionel, and had been deposited in the evening when Lionel was stunned by an unknown person in the bathroom. Lionel then suspects Dominic of being the instigator of this. Wanting to meet Kelly who she – is the only one able to drive him to Dominic, Lionel goes to the office of Eden and makes her call Kelly to fix him an appointment. Still suffering from headaches, Kelly must however go to the hospital before. The doctor diagnoses her with a simple state of stress. Elizabeth goes to Cruz and accuses him, following the description of the security guards, of having broken into Lionel's office at the museum. Eden becomes her photographer, to search for the slides which she stole from Cruz. But she learns that Cruz already came to recover them. She then goes home and loses her temper. In a clash, Eden and Cruz kiss each other, but Cruz ends up showing Eden the door when Elizabeth comes into sight again. Lionel finds Dominic's trace. He waits for him to go out from his home with the suitcases which he prepared...

Episode 112

Mason tells Ted about the link which maintained Sophia and Lionel were a couple, then joins Eden and C.C.. Ted asks Eden if she thinks that this link could be possible. Mason tells C.C the death of Channing Jr is due to the fact that Sophia's link with Lionel caused a great extent of his behaviour: Sophia would indeed have complained about the wool-gathering of C.C. and about his frequent absences caused by his job. He takes proof of an unsuccessful petition for divorce whom Sophia had started one year before her death. Again, C.C. loses his temper and Ted escapes to C.C's office.  Brick tries to persuade Amy to keep her baby. Shortly after his departure, Amy accepts a surprise visit from Jackie Parks, an old friend from her studies. Jackie is currently married to an officer of the Navy and envies the baby Amy is waiting for. At Dominic's, Lionel discovers a note including several figures. He understands that the train, in fact is the Victoria express for Chicago. He ends up finding Dominic in the dining car and surprises him after the inspector left. Dominic escapes towards the door and, in a fight, seems to fall from the train. Lionel, taken by panic, draws the bell of alarm...

Episode 113

The inspector decides to rejoin on the train in spite of Lionel's allegations which believe Dominic has been thrown from the train. Lionel finds in the wagon the wrong beard which Dominic lost in the fight. He also sees traces of blood which he decides to follow. Hidden in her compartment, Sophia indeed hurt herself by having the beard torn off. She recollects the night of accident on board of Lionel's boat and remains persuaded that he wanted to kill her intentionally. C.C. gets worried about Ted's reaction after Mason's revelations and asks Eden to find him and to try to discuss it with him. Gina asks Rosa to speak to him about Sophia. In spite of the disapproval of Ruben, she praises him about Sophia whom she deeply loved. In State Street bar, Amy and Jackie are joined at their table by two single men, Frank and Scott. But they leave them after learning that Amy is pregnant and Jackie is married ! Jackie then phones her husband at the base and learns that he is not going to come back finally as planned. Disappointed, she leaves again with Amy by forgetting her wallet near the telephone. After a quick discussion with Eden, Ted finds the wallet and goes to see Amy where he learns of Jackie. On board of express Victoria, Sophia catches a knife and joins Lionel in the deserted dining car. While she gets ready to stab Lionel, he sees her reflexion in the window pane facing him and succeeds in immobilising his attacker on the bar. He discovers Sophia's face then...

Episode 114

Lionel takes Sophia into a cabin. He approaches her for having kept silent during these fifteen years and refrains from having pushed her – over the edge the fateful evening. To prevent her from calling for help because he fears for her life, Lionel gags her and trusses her up. At the railway station of Sacramento, a man, in possession of a note signed by Sophia, gets on the train. He seems in search of her. Augusta tells Laken about the charge of her father. She announces to her about the link of Lionel with Sophia. Ted, who goes to see Laken, has an accident with his jeep. He arrives irritated towards the Lockridge's. Augusta accepts the visit from a policeman who informs her that if Lionel does not come to their post the following morning, he will be considered as a fugitive. And Augusta is unaware where he is. In spite of the analyses of his doctor, Peter decides to release himself from the private hospital. He phones Kelly who refuses to see him because she must go to work, then goes to Joe who asks him to leave. Peter then goes to The Mesa. When seeing him entering, Veronica leaves the table and runs away. Barbara Anderson, one of the waitresses, offers Kelly to leave and to finish the coffee. By looking at her, Peter has visions of Kelly. The man on the train, Marcello, ends up finding Sophia in the cabin with Lionel. Both men then fight in the corridor until Lionel loses balance in the wagon...

Episode 115

Marcello reassures Sophia by saying to her that Lionel had only what he deserved by falling from the train in motion. But Sophia doubts this, realising that he did not try to kill her having found her. Charlie Stubbs, a bum, finds Lionel's body lying along the rails. He exchanges the jacket with him and escapes. To forget their disagreement about the guilt of Lionel, Ted offers Laken to escape in the city with him. While she had first accepted, Laken hesitates, preferring to remain present for her father. Cruz gives Eden slides made from the plates of the log of Amanda Lockridge. Eden discovers the existence of an office which would contain Amanda's diary. Cruz agrees to help Eden find it in exchange for 50 % of what will be found on board of the boat. Peter goes back to The Mesa before the departure of Barbara, with some perfume and a white carnation for her. He offers her a drink in the bar. But by looking at her, he continues having visions of Kelly. When he leaves again, Barbara's body is lying inanimate on the floor...

Episode 116

When waking up the following morning, Peter forgets everything on the night before. Only while discovering the announcement of the death of Barbara on the television he recollects some instants of murder. He goes to The Mesa and is questioned by Sergeant Clifford T. Monroe, intrigued by his nervous behaviour. In the Capwell residence, C.C. discovers Ted's note which informs him that he left for the city with Laken. Eden tells him that Ted being only seventeen years old, acts by impulsiveness and that he should not get worried. C.C. then accepts a visit from Kelly who announces that she has decided to marry Joe with or without his consent. Amy, Jackie and Brick are going to have a drink in The Mesa where they are joined by Elizabeth. She returns slightly later with Brick in the garage of Lockridge residence and attempts to seduce him. Lionel is on board the circus van Luigi with three persons: old Loretta, dwarf and mister muscles. They get on well with him and, after some hands of cards, drop off Lionel at the railway station where he succeeds in joining Express Victoria where Sophia and Marcello are. Lionel waits for Sophia to go out of her compartment and, dressed in the jacket of an employee of the train, enters the cabin and throws himself on Marcello. While she dived again with Cruz to go to Amanda Lockridge, Eden passes out. She goes back up on the boat with Cruz holding her, unconscious...

Episode 117

Eden is quickly made to regain consciousness. After researching in the library, Cruz ends up finding the trace of the office of Amanda Lockridge at an old antiquarian. Eden joins him, but they find nothing in drawers. Cruz grabs an axe to open the office to see what is hiding in there. Kelly is questioned by Sergeant Monroe about Barbara. He makes her sniff the perfume found on her. Kelly does not admit to Barbara's habitual perfume, but assures to know this smell. Summer is back in Los Angeles, where she started therapy. Gina tells her that she has been called to Mason's office in afternoon. During the cross-examination, Summer disclaims knowing whatever is concerning Warren and the gold coins. She suddenly sees a photo of Barbara lying on the floor, panics and leaves the office hurriedly. C.C. offers Joe to work for him. But Joe takes this offer as a tactic to buy Kelly. On board of Express Victoria, Sophia finds unconscious Marcello in her compartment when Lionel comes into sight behind her. He drags her to into the toilets and accuses her of being at the origin of the flux of proof accusing her of murder of Channing Jr. He continues proclaiming his innocence. Sophia finally seems to doubt his certainties in front of so much furious energy. Meanwhile, a sheriff joined the train and goes through the wagons in search of Lionel, sought-after in all of California. When Lionel gets out of toilets, he is chased by the sheriff who starts to pull on him across the wagon. Lionel then exits through another exit to jump of the train in motion...

Episode 118

Having destroyed the office with the blows of an axe without finding anything there, Eden and Cruz face the facts that it may not be about Amanda Lockridge. Peter learns from his doctor that he has a tumour in the brain. He goes to the presidential suite of the Capwell hotel where he asks for some money from Mason to leave the city. But Mason refuses. Peter then takes refuge behind the two-way mirror and spies on the discussion between Mason and Veronica on this subject, when Summer and Warren arrive. They follow Mason up to the police station where Lionel seems to have been found. But it is in fact Charlie Stubbs, the bum who was in possession of Lionel's identity papers. Meanwhile, Summer is together with Kelly in State Street bar. She asks her not to be too pitiless towards Warren. Unnerved by this request, Kelly prefers leaving Summer. Peter, who spied on both women at a neighbouring table, goes up to Summer and announces to her that Warren had an accident. He offers to drive her to him. In the car, Peter gives a white carnation suddenly to Summer...

Episode 119

In the barn where they took refuge, Laken and Ted accept Danny's visit, who have come to bring them something to eat. Laken finally decides to stop this running away and to go back home. Right in the middle of an uninhabited shed, Peter suddenly seems to take his mind back and discovers bloodstains on him. He leaves, leaving behind him the inanimate body of Summer, lying on the soil. Warren, guided by a client of State Street bar, arrives with the police and collapses in front of the body of the woman which he liked. In the Capwell residence, Gina, set for a romantic party with C.C., urges Kelly and Joe to leave before her arrival. She is then surprised at seeing off-loading Mason and Warren, who have come to announce the terrible news concerning her sister. Back at home, Peter thinks he has assaulted Kelly. He phones her and hangs up after hearing her voice. Later in State Street bar, he understands that it is in fact Summer that he killed. By entering the Lockridge residence accidentally, Mason overhears a telephone conversation of Warren with Augusta where it is a matter of fact that Lionel was with Sophia at the time of her death. Eager to know more about it, Mason nevertheless goes to the trouble of calling Veronica before asking her to be on her guard after what just happened. Having hung up, Peter discovers bloodstains right in the middle of the flat and is frightened...
