Episode 1040

Gina tells Heather that Brandon suffers from split personality and asks her for advice. Heather confirms to Scott that his father is died from his cancer and so her father is in no way responsible for his death. Victoria surprises Sonny kissing Gina at the entrance of Johnny's Place. When he comes back home, Julia accuses Sonny of being drunk again. Cruz learns that it is Critter who killed Stick. The television announces that the offender has taken refuge in a shed and that the police are after him. He decides to go there. Eden, left alone at home, discovers that her television set and phone are down. A gloved hand also cut her full power. In the dark, Eden is assaulted by a man at her home. After hitting and then raped her, the man leads her to the beach and makes her to swallow a pill. Meanwhile, Cruz discovers that the man whom the police pursues in a hangar while thinking it was Critter is actually another man...

The video rapist is doubled in the French version by Philippe Ogouz, who already assures the voice of Major Phillip Hamilton. The dubbing team of the series then had to imagine that both characters made only one...

Episode 1041

At the Country club, Sophia accuses C.C. of wanting to poach Kelly from the Armonti industries to work with him in his club. Heather advises Scott to forgive Arthur of the death of his father to get his job back. Cain goes to Eden and Cruz and understands that something serious occurred there. Once back home, he is surprised by Phillip with two men who beat him up. When she wakes up on the beach, Eden runs to her home. When Cruz joins her, she reveals she has been raped. He drives her to the clinic where she is welcomed by Zack. This latter practices on her a pelvic exam and prescribes her some abortion pills. But Eden refuses to take them, thinking she is already pregnant. C.C. and Ted rush to her bedside. Eden asks her father to accomodate her for the night, refusing to come back home to the beach house...

In the Capwell residence, C.C., Kelly and Ted try to comfort Eden. Eden tells Julia that she is pregnant, but that she refuses to be tested to make sure of the babie's good health. Sonny announces to Gina due to the fact that he is not included why he feels so close to the Capwells having visited Eden. Cruz learns that Critter has just been stopped. He goes to the police station where Lydia Saunders and her cameraman await. While he sees Critter arriving, he takes out his weapon and aims at him to avenge Eden...

Because of the broadcasting of the summer Olympic Games, the American network NBC aired only 22 minutes episodes from episode 1042 to episode 1051.

Episode 1043

Vic Boswell keeps Cruz to prevent him from pulling the trigger on Critter. He locks Cruz up in the cross-examination room. Lydia Saunders, who filmed all of this, asks Boswell to be merciful towards him and to release him. Boswell ends up accepting the request. Heather tries to comfort Eden. She then goes back home and finds Scott packing her suitcases. He decides to leave her, thinking that, being out of a job, he has nothing more to give her. Jeffrey comes to inform Kelly of the threat which influences him. As Kelly does not listen to him, he promises to call her the next day to speak to her about T.J.'s plan. Cruz finally joins Eden in the Capwell residence...

Episode 1044

C.C. asks Sonny for a legal opinion on a file. Confused Sonny asks for Gina's assistance, who dictates the words by telephone. T.J. finds Jeffrey searching his office in The Lair, in search of the tape where their discussion was recorded. Jeffrey promises not to have changed his opinion concerning their plan. Cruz tidies the home before Eden's return. He is joined by Cain, with his swollen face after his attack by Major Hamilton's men. Eden finally goes back home, but has flash backs of her attack. She is frightened when Cruz goes up to her...

Episode 1045

Sonny is surprised to remember of an old judicial affair which Mason had been involved in. He asks Gina for an explanation on this phenomenon. While he must leave to fish with Buffy, T.J. goes back to The Lair and finds Jeffrey there once again searching his office. He hits him violently to the face and Jeffrey collapses to the floor, unconscious. He lets everyone believe in a break-in and runs away. After finding Jeffrey on the floor, Ted calls an ambulance. Scott, who was there, announces to Kelly that he is going to have to practice a tracheotomy to save Jeffrey. Eden announces to Cruz that she is pregnant...

In the ending credits, Ally Walker, in the part of Andrea Bedford, is not credited as regular actress anymore.

Episode 1046

Keith is back from his stay in St. Louis. Gina gets Mason to listen to tapes in his sleep without his knowledge where she tells the story of Mason's life. But Sonny begins suspecting that the knowledge of Mason's life comes from other places. Having learnt from Julia about the existence of a beauty spot on Mason's buttocks, Sonny looks in the mirror and notes that he has the same one. Jeffrey is driven to the hospital. Scott announces to Kelly that Jeffrey suffers from a brain traumatism and that he must be operated on. But risks of brain damage are to fear. Cruz is delighted to learn that Eden is pregnant. He drives her to Zack's consultation room for tests. These confirm the pregnancy and the good health of the baby. But Zack explains that there is a risk that the rapist is the father...

Episode 1047

Gina and Keith have to lie to Sonny who does not understand why he has the same beauty spot as Mason on his buttocks. They tell him that he was tattooed without his knowledge to carry out the role of Mason. Sonny goes to the Country-club and makes indecent proposals to Victoria. The first lieutenant Vic Boswell questions T.J. about the break-in in The Lair. After his departure, T.J. destroys all copies of the tape. Scott gets permission from Arthur to be able to assist him in Jeffrey's operation. Being a success, Arthur congratulates Scott, who is reconciled after this fact with Heather. Kelly announces to her father that according to Jeffrey's state, she could abandon the idea of divorcing...

Rick Fitts temporarily replaces Wendell J. Grayson in the role of Lieutenant Vic Boswell.

Episode 1048

Questioned by Keith and Vic Boswell, Critter denies being the rapist. At the police station, Eden does not recognise his voice on the tape the police get her to listen to. She is also unable to give details on the size, voice or places where she could of hit her attacker. Back home, she feels guilty in front of Cruz not to have been able to defend herself the evening of rape...
