 Judge
of the city of Santa Barbara, Mrs. Judge Wicks replaces at the last
moment another judge of the city friend of the Capwells to judge Kelly
Capwell's driving under the influence of alcohol.
Judge
Wicks is a black woman with white hair, whose appearance perfectly
reflects her harshness and intransigence in her court decisions.
Despite
Mason's defense, Kelly's judgment is irrevocable.
She
gets the maximum sentence : as this is her first conviction, the prison
is forgotten, but Kelly must do 200 hours of community service. She
loses her driver's license for six months, and then she has
to pay a fine of 1,000 dollars.
