As
a television journalist, he is in charge of announcing the news that
will upset the Santa Barbara life, at the end of July 1984.
At
the general surprise (Mason Capwell was hardly aware of it; the Perkins
family didn’t know anything either), he announced the release on
parole of Joe Perkins, the Channing Capwell Junior’s murderer,
convicted and put in jail five years before in the Saint Quentin prison.
Installed in front of their screen, it is first Augusta Lockridge, then
Jade and Marisa Perkins who learn the news.
