Helena is Rosa Andrade's younger sister. She lives in a small village in Mexico with Santana's cousin, Diego.

She is very happy with the arrival of her niece Santana and Cruz Castillo. She warmly welcomes them in the church before leaving to prepare the meal - Helena seems to have the same qualities as her sister.

As a fervent Catholic, Helena does not understand why Santana wants to marry here in all haste and especially in total absence of her family members. One moment, she even believes that Santana is ashamed of her fiancé, whereas she knows perfectly that Rosa knows Cruz and would approve this wedding. Helena does not understand Santana's reasons; the stories with the Capwells escape her completely.

And despite the fact that this wedding seems contrary to her intimate convictions (for her a wedding is a moment of celebration, a traditional ceremony that must be lived with family), she agrees during the ceremony to replace Rosa and leads Santana to the altar.

Helena and Diego are the only ones to see the happiness (ephemeral moment) illuminating Santana's face, when once married, Cruz kisses and hugs her.
