Bone
Peterson is part of the new group of Crestview high school students
introduced just days before the summer of 1989. Energetic and always
smiling, Bone is one of the first to encourage his classmates to skip
school and head to the beach to surf as the school year comes to an end.
Passionate
about surfing, he agrees to teach Greg Hughes, who ends up getting
injured and even nearly drowning one day.
A
regular at the beach bar both day and night, Bone one evening witnesses
the mysterious murder of Leo Mitchell in the fog. Questioned by the
police, he confirms having seen the body which later disappeared, as
well as Michael Donnelly at the scene. Michael then gets closer to this
key witness to try to understand what really happened that night.
Although
his role in the storyline begins to grow, Bone suddenly disappears
without explanation, just like the other Crestview students.
