While waiting for the first Kelly Capwell to get married for real, the writers of Santa Barbara, who do not miss humour, imagined to give a husband to the current Kelly, known only of American televiewers. But, before arriving there, it was necessary that logic was respected. If you are not faithful with Santa Barbara since the origins, you must know that it is the third wedding of Kelly Capwell. First married to Joe Perkins soon assassinated, she married the second time Jeffrey Conrad, from who she divorced soon. She remarie now under the features of Carrington Garland, but without the presence of her sister. This one, the beautiful Eden (Marcy Walker), is fiercely opposed to this wedding. "Jealousy !", replies Kelly, since the man that she marries, Robert Barr, had been the first lover of Eden. Perhaps you believe that a writer worthy of Santa Barbara will leave that like this ? Not at all. Because, this Robert Barr, is he well the one who madly loved Eden ? Well, not ! This playboy, that the family of Kelly already suspects of wanting to marry for the money, turns to be the twin brother of Robert Barr, the ignoble Quinn, played of course by the same actor, Roscoe Born. It should have thought of it, and especially it should have to dare. It is undoubtedly at this price that one builds, episode after episode, one of the soap the most watched on the planet for years.

How the bride was however beautiful, in her white dress in satin decorated with laces and pearls, with in the hair two lilies attached by a satin knot. Susan Clare, the costumier of the show, had drawn it herself, for still better accentuating the natural beauty of Carrington Garland. "I took as a starting point Carole Lombard or Lauren Bacall in the Forties. These big actresses always wished that one mix elegance and simplicity." The wedding had been shot in the big living-room, that we often see from now on in the new episodes of Santa Barbara, in the United States. It had been decorated with big white satin knots. The improvized altar was a simple wood table, with large candles. But this softness, this stillness were only appearances. Hidden from the guests, but not from the camera, the mistress, given up by Quinn (the false Robert !), played by the disturbing Roberta Bizeau, was spying the ceremony by the window. Streaming and quivering under a well imitated rain (with big blows of hose of watering !), she is seen ready to come in the room and to tell everything to Kelly...

But, but, but... Quinn just stops her in time and swears to her, once more, that he only wants the money of the pretty Capwell heiress, and that he only loves her ! Lies. Because, taken in his own trap, he really fell in love with Kelly, like was before his twin brother with Eden. Moral is safe, if we can say, but the writers did not say their last word. Not more than Robin Wright, whose wedding is said to be worthy of Santa Barbara ! In any case, all her friends of Santa Barbara hope to be there. From Marcy Walker to A Martinez, they indeed have a very good memory of Robin, even if since her departure from the show, they did not see her very much...
