While other shows often trot out the kiddies only when the adults are not having their close encounters of the melodramatic kind, Sammi is an integral part of her mother's life. We see them reading books, together, and, when an especially depressing holiday came around last year, Julia made sure that the house had all of the traditional decorative touch.
