We
will no longer see his angelic
face as in the soap-opera
Capitol. He played
Wally McCandless from
1982 to 1987 and in Santa
Barbara (he was an
ephemeral Jeremy in
1990).
Bill
Beyers died of AIDS, on May
29 at 37 years old.
His parents (his father is a famous doctor), his wife and his two sisters have only announced it in requesting instead of flowers on his tomb, to donate to organizations fighting against AIDS.
Beyond the actor, Bill Beyers was devoted to several causes, including the sexual abuse of children. In 1984, he has been named "national young ambassador" of the National Committee for Prevention of Child Abuse and was often called at the Senate in Washington. In recent years, despite illness, he continued to fight "not for me, for the others...".
