Santa Barbara

Located in a poor neighborhood of Santa Barbara, just opposite the Alvarado clinic, a chapel remained abandoned is used as a restaurant for several months. At his departure of the Mission of Goletta, Father Michael Donnelly decides to rehabilitate the place to officiate there as a priest. With the help of his new parishioners, he manages to revive this sacred place, which hosts over months masses (for Adriana's presumed death, Gina and Mason Capwell's wedding...) and confessions.

The interior of the chapel is decorated with dark wood moldings, giving a solemn aspect to the place. Rows of benches lead to the altar on which stands a huge cross and candlesticks.

All the nave is lit by windows letting the outside light coming. The place is quiet, favorable to the meditation of the parishioners, of Father Michael himself.

The chapel will know its apogee during the video rapist case in the late 1988-early 1989 : the confessions of Dr. Zack Kelton to Michael in the confessional, the blow given to Brandon Capwell's head (at the origin of the episode of his Christmas dream in Bethlehem), the hostage-taking by Ramon Fonseca... After the departure of Michael of the priesthood, the chapel will be transformed into a community center for underprivileged families in the neighborhood, through the combined action of mayor candidate Jerry Calhoun and Laura Asher.
