Between 1986 and 1988, Julia Wainwright and Mason Capwell perform independently of each other the law at the firm Smith, Caulfield & McKenna.

Julia occupies alone a rather austere office, with gray walls and minimalist decor. Some large law books are aligned in openings made in the walls surrounding her desk, often filled with folders and various papers.

A hallway where are lined shelves filled with law books separates this office from Mason's.

Much more classy and spacious, it reflects Mason's and the male lawyers' predominance in the firm. We enter there through a double wooden door.

Faced to Mason's large desk, a black leather sofa and a bar filled with bottles of alcohol - not surprising knowing Mason. Some large windows (reminiscent of the presidential suite at the Capwell Hotel) overlook the business districts of the city, and lead to a door hiding a bathroom and the toilet.

The office next door to Mason's is attributed to Peter Davis, the lawyer who drew up Eden Capwell's will in the greatest secrecy. Julia and Mason will both leave the firm and their offices in 1988 to open their own firm, Capwell & Capwell.
