The
beach bar
is the privileged place of meetings of the city's youth people, maybe one of the
trendiest places where meet the youth people of Santa Barbara.
It
is here,
in this bar consisted of tables and wooden
benches, that meet Ted Capwell and his
band (Danny Andrade, Jade Perkins and Laken Lockridge) during the summer
holidays.
Opposite
the bar, on the left side of the
court, there is a jukebox and
arcade games that delight the
clients of the
bar.
It
is moreover in this set which wants to seem outdoors, at the edge of the ocean,
that the sea rescuer Warren Lockridge comes to look at the attractive girls and
gets acquainted of Summer Blake. It is still here that Jade and
her friends observe Danny's stunt in hang-glider (and where Jade dreams about
her actress' career) and that they meet to talk about their projects.
It is also in this place that Ted and Laken choose to face their respective
parents, by insuring them of the strength of their love, during a memorable
confrontation between C.C. on one hand and Lionel and Augusta on the other hand.
Without forgetting the terrible rape of Christie DuVall by her step-brother
Steve
Bassett in 1985.
