New family to make its entrance to the high society world of the city, the Raymonds are a well-to-do family with a dark secret, but especially it is a couple on the edge of the black hole which longs to begin a new life with a new partner.

David and Angela hoped to erase their guilt and their responsibilities behind a marriage : but without real love, it does not resist the wear of time. And Marilyn, the ghost of the past, does not wait until taking more and more place, filling the space between them. They will eventually make the peace with their past, freeing themselves then from the last link binding the one to the another.

Without love, the couple gives way in work, until... Until one day a meeting blows up in daylight the veil behind which they hid. David finds Julia again. Angela meets Warren, then Ted, then... The couple divorces, giving itself the way to begin a new life far from the past, far from Marilyn... Far from this secret which chained them the one to the other.

It is a new life which opens to them : a quest of the soulmate which will fail for the one as for the other. In playing too much with the others' feelings, they forgot that they also played with theirs. And it is alone that they will eventually leave the city...
